Recently I've come to meet some interesting folk. A big group of freshman at the mall, who also happened to go to my old school, are all into Satanism. And when I say Satanism, I mean they all run around screaming "Hail Satan!" Now here's where I become confused (as in I really want to know if they know what they're doing, or if they are just kids playing with fire and going with the crowd)--

I am Wiccan: proud, and not afraid of what people think of me. I once had a bracelet with a silver pentagram in the middle of black strings. Well, one of them saw it, and she came bouncing up to me asking me if I worshipped Satan. Of course I immediately said no, but she couldn't leave it at that. She told me that if I had the pentagram on, I must worship the Devil. I then told her to get bent and go read a book, because she didn't know s**t about what she was talking about (those were the exact words).

Well, apparently, without me knowing about, I am now their little idol. I happened to know one of them and now all of them have my number; I'm pissed and have told them all I am Wiccan--not Satanist, but they took that as an initiative to try and make a myspace of me. Should I leave it alone, or should I do something about it? If so, what should I do?

Wow..I'd be alittle afraid....that's alittle freaky...and they aren't Satanist..trust me, running around screaming "Hail Satan" doesn't make them satanist...and if they know nothing and think you are Satanic...I would completely and utterly ignore them praying they would go away before you start screaming...well xD that's what I would do, ignore them if they didn't go away I would scream at them. But I am a "violent" person.

Here's an idea: Make your OWN myspace about Wicca. Post bulletins and send them messages about it. Be calm about it, though, because being angry might just encourage them. Do the same thing with Satanism, because running around screaming "Hail Satan" isn't Satanism and is quite insulting, I imagine, to actual Satanists.

Report them to Myspace if they actually make a page about you. I have no idea if Myspace would do anything, but it'd be worth a shot.

I guess you could just ignore them, but why miss a chance to teach them, eh?

Incase none of that works, my original idea was this: Go to Amazon.com or a good book store. Buy a book on Wicca, a book on ACTUAL Satanism, and a self-help book for teens. Beat each and every one of them with each and every book. Mutter "stupid freshmen" as you walk off.

But I figured that'd be too violent.

I know what REAL Satanism is, and totally respect it. It's not my belief, but who am I to decide who can believe in what? But I like the idea of me making a myspace on Wicca! I think I might just do that. Would anyone like to help me out?

PM me if you would.

sweatdrop I think a protective ritual would be in order, then again that idea of a mySpace is good too.

I would also go with a protection ritual, or just maybe a ritual to show them who you really are without hurting any of them.

Edit: Dont' think i'm crazy with what I said above...but be creative, just put up a ward on yourself or something that will make them see that your not like them, and they will probably show less interest in you...or if they are really interested in you maybe they will start to acctually believe you when you say that your not a Satanist, and start ot ask questions about what you acctually believe.

I kinda made myself sound crazy before...sorry about that!!! redface

I totally agree. This is good advice.

Maybe something for protection [speaking in spiritual terms] would help?

I must say that's pretty odd.

I don't have much other advice though. Making a myspace on Wicca sounds like a good idea though. Maybe you could try and talk to them again and explain yourself. If not, go with Sybex's second idea. ;D

maybe i'm being a little cynical here, but why even bother with Protective Spells? They sound like complete idiots that probably don't even know how to set a circle...or open the Triangle. Which is odd, considering that they "think" they work with demons.

and no myspace on Wicca...it ruins lives and attracts fluff bunnies

Oi. This kind of reminds me of my friend, Dominiq, who is a Satanist, and had these idiot kids following him around like your situation.... I was just glad that I didn't get followed around sweatdrop He just reported them to the Principal of our school, and they stopped.

But they didn't try to do this Myspace crap.

Anyways, I think that the ideas on this page already are good ideas, especially like -trying- to educate them. If they want to continue with the religion they should really know what it's about. The Myspace on Wicca sounds good, too, because before they create theirs you can send them the page, and perhaps they'll read it all stressed Considering how they practically worship you.

Be careful if you do make a MySpace on Wicca. As a previous poster said, that attracts fluffbunnies, but also it'll attract a lot of hate messages from the fundamentalists.

Also, re-educating is good, just try and get something...scholoarly, yet easy to read.

Both are very bad! But quite frankly, I'd be more worried about the fundamentalists, rather than fluffbunnies.
