It depends on what I draw. Some of my drawings look better in black and white, and some look better in color. But I choose color, since most people like colored drawings and it stands out more.

as has been said before, it depends on the subject. black and white tends to give a more stark message, the veiwer is more focused on the actual drawing rather than the colors used. color can in some cases be helpful in portrayal of a certain mood or feeling, but it really depends. i feel like i do half and half of both, but i feel like i tend to work in more monochromatic setting just because its one less thing to think about, how colors work together, that is. but thats just me. i like color with the best of em, but sometimes its just easier to work with one or two colors only.

Coloring is my strongest side and overall I prefer color. The world is in color why should'nt the art be? Pencil work can be really cool but I prefer colored artwork. I did this CG piece with only red and white cause of the effect. It's more challenging to get it good when you stick to only one color even if it's red and not black. (sorry it's not trad media) By the way, I've comissioned an artist who's a bit colorblind Quite interesting but he got it right in the end. 3nodding

some art pieces are stronger in black and white and some in color... I personal prefer to use color becous I am verry instinctive and color can change my mood easely.

Both! It depends on the subject and medium. They both have qualities of their own. However, color tends to appeal to the general public more and that make me mad scream

a lot of people need to start out working in bw to understand CONTRAST. since this whole art thing is a lifetime learning experience, you need to master both bw and color, so it's hard to have a preference. the same subject matter can be done well in color or bw, i suppose it depends on what materials i have handy and what my mood is.

I like both but I must say I prefer black and white. I love playing with light and shadows on the paper. And it kinda reminds me of an old photograph.

I love black and white--inking... I don't like pencil shading, though I've done it and taking classes that focused on shading and shadow in the past. If I have to shade, it will be with color or an ink wash. So I'd say no preference.

I love color! Almost everything I draw is in color, cause I love bright pretty colors. Some things I decide not to finish or color for certain reasons just to my preference. But I love color.

I think it depends on the medium and subject matter. If you're capturing something very colourful or capturing light, then definately colour, obviously. If it's shape and form your wanting to capture then I think black and white.

I personally mostly work in black and white because I love the effect of shades of gray. Although I do love color, I don't usually feel that I have the skills needed to work with it effectively.
