Anyone know where I can get a copy? I don't want it from the Internet though domokun
Will the local library have it? We studied THE BARQUE OF DANTE in Art History and it got me interested.
Discuss: have you read it? did you like it? i love you

I don't think that just a local library would have it. I've read it. I loved it. Was pissed that they didn't have it any where near me.

Pinoy ka din di ba, Scorepyon???
Yeah, read it already, for English class during senior year in high-school. There are lots of copies at national book store branches, I believe.
Yeah, I liked it, it was really gory. But Allie is the one whose really in love with it. The opening stanzas at our guild home page are from there. "I am the way into the city of woe.....etc."

We had to take it up in lit class during my third year of college, first sem. Yeah, I liked it. Loved the punishments that they had, the "contrapasso". It was really poetic justice. Maybe I'll read Paradiso and Purgatorio when I have the time.

@Ature Manti and Copper Forrest Wow, so it was that good huh? How long is it? Page/verse-wise... I'm not sure if the local library has it... they do have awebsite, but I prefer going there myself... it's near the mall and I'm going tomorrow so I might drop by 3nodding
@The_Lazarus Opo 4laugh Yeah, so I noticed. I never actually paid attention to the front page (REALLY eager to get into the guild, yessum 4laugh ). Primordial's a fun word, no?
@Seighart Fennel Is Paradiso and Purgatorio one or is it two different ones?
We're actually doing Romeo and Juliet... I don't want to gonk EVERY college/high school has done it... I want something different.

Never read it, but I've heard of it and there was a spot in a cave I went to once named after it because whenever the people who came to the cave for balls went inside, their candles "mysteriously blew out." (It was actually some air vents and wind blew them out.

@Ature Manti Can't, unfortunately. My teacher's made her mind up. We're doing it after we finish off our film study, which is GATTACA.
@Lady Mira of Azure Sky Hehe, so the cave was "modernized?" 4laugh

I wish they'd make a movie of the Inferno. They'd have to have a really big budget, though. neutral

To satisfy me, they'd have to have included everything from the book in the movie or I'd have to hate them.

I went to this website, where it had the layers of Hell, and it had excerpts of the Epic. It also had main characters info on each level and some drawings too. Pretty nifty, actually. 3nodding
