Why is it do you think that Mariko (#35) had 26 vectors? And why do you think they were so long? It has always amazed me that although she is so frail she is logically the strongest of the diclonius that was are introduced to in the anime. And why didnt she kill her father first chance she got? So what your thoughts?

I'm not so sure as to why Mariko has so many vectors...But I think that Mariko didn't kill her father because she had been waiting for him to come and get her from that dark room or something... Through out the anime, the Diclonious usually have one person they'll never kill, and they only kill humans...since it said so in the anime, and at that part where we all thought Lucy killed the dog? eek So to Mariko, Kurama is the person she'll never kill... Just like Kouta is Lucy's person she'll never kill... Nana doesn't really count because she doesn't want to kill anyone...

Technically Mariko is far beyond 3rd generation... Since in Kurama's memories episode (Forgot the name) it said that there had been about 10 Diclonious (I forgot the exact number)

Okay, uhm. HeyDiddle, im new.
I think Mariko had more vectors, with a longer reach because Kurama was grabbed by the vectors, but it was in his brain. Or something, I dont know, but that might help... somehow... o.o"" I need to sleep gonk Fear me and my theories...
And, for Kouta_XIII, I think there was 35 or more, because in that episode you saw number 3 (Im sure it was 3...) got those small bowling ball things thrown at her head (Poor baby~!) So I think they just numbered them in order of birth.
rolleyes I know none of that helped. But, dammit, im special! X_O

Yea I was under the impression that the Diclonious were numbered in order of their birth.
So I think that with Mariko being number 35 it means she was born later, so her abilities were more advanced than the older diclonious.

The vectors were here mind's compensation for the frailty of her own body in my opinion.
Now on to the reason she didn't kill her father. Unlike most diclonius when she reached the age of two she was already in that cryotube, alone, and without anyone to around her. From the very moment she was born she learned of the pain that came from killing EVERYONE around you. She probably decided in her head that everyone besides her mother and father deserved to die, but to keep her company her parents were the only people who would be by her and love her no matter what.
She was right....the Director willingly died with his daughter. In one of the saddest moments in the anime. crying

Yeah in the lab, they say countless others were killed either during capture, or just becuase they were of no use. Also you gotta remember, The Kazukawa family are Diclonius, all be it far older and degraded in power, their family had two, now one, of the only male diclonii. They leave the anime open for a movie of some sort, because it ends too ominously.

XD I can think of another series that ends totally open ended like that, and nothing was ever added onto it.

They could of spliced her DNA with that of other powerful Diclonious. They could of found out what part of a Diclonious body creates vectors and fiddled with Mariko and...BOOM! Very powerful.

Umm... yes I can see how her looks are important... anyway! I have another question for debate but couldnt be bothered making another thread. In the final scene we see Mariko in do you think that was a representation of the family reunited in heaven or a flashback of their life??? I've been trying to work this out for ages. When I first saw it I thought it was a flash back but now I am less sure.

kakashi is hott ahhhhhhhhhhh, ia hate Miroku, for one thing, she is mean, and she is sooo ugly!! For a bloodthirsty monster I think Mariko is still cute as a button. She's not really even evil, she's just well, deranged. She's damn smart for a little child too. I did feel bad for her when she died in the anime, and I know even though I hate her in the manga I'll feel sad when she dies then too. crying
