♥ WELCOMEKATE'S MAPLING JOURNAL Hi-ho. So you've stumbled upon my little mapling journal. Yay. Well, there's not much to be said, but comments and discussions are welcome and encouraged! I've started playing MapleStory back in 2004, when it was on Beta version. I worked up my way to become a level 37 cleric, until poof, sometime in 2005 my account was wiped when Maple Story officially launched. I will miss my first character forever, Mizuhana. (Mizuhana was an old nickname a friend suggested, meaning "waterflower," I believe.) So this journal is a tribute to becoming a cleric all over again, and follow my steps to become the respected healing magician I once was.

A-hoy-hoy - Haha, shiver me timbers! E'eryone, look at the pirate ship that was attackin'. I'll have you know that I'm the queen o' all pirates. Aye, don't forget it, ye bitches.
Level 56 Beginner - Honestly. This is no glitch. When she invited me into her guild, I saw her stats and I was like, WTF. I mean... s**t... that's the most advanced beginner I've ever seen. That put me to shame.♥ MizuhanaMy old character, back in 2004. I miss her dearly. These were the memories. I was too much of a noob to realize that the Screen Capture function made all the images blurry, so I apologize.
Little Nooblet - Aww, I miss the old days.
Mizuhana Animation (II) - These took me a long time to screencap every frame, paste it in PSP, take out the background area, make it transparent, then put each frame into an animated gif in Animation Shop. But it was well worth it.
Fame plz - This made me LOL.
Oldschool Party - Man, I can't believe I actually got this screen capped. This is what the party lists used to look like in Beta version.
Mizuhana`s First Christmas (II III IV V)- I can't wait for the Christmas Event to happen again, because this was amazingly fun. I made a lot of friends while decorating trees.
Fairy Wing - Grrrargle. And to think, I used to have that in my inventory. *F7*♥ Etc.Mostly images I made, or edited, or screencaps that just don't fit in anywhere else.
Magician in the sky - Artwork I made of LoveKate, and a cute Pink Teddy monster.
Maple Story Reality - Using the Maple Sim, I made an image of what me and Amos would look like IRL. The background is not from MapleStory.
Old LoveKate (II III IV V VI VII VIII IX ) - Screencaps of what LoveKate used to look like before changing appearances.

♥ LITTLE MENTIONABLES
I LOVE YOU GUYS This is my little section for thank yous, people who have helped me, donated, etc. and have been mentionably kind to me through the game. So if you bump into them on Windia, spoil them rotten with gifts and meso. I mean it.
AmosV3 (Amos V2.1 on Gaia), you are my darling.
Thank you for everything, especially for helping me (even though you are at a lower level than me at the moment; don't worry, you'll catch up, I promise). You always have the heart to be generous when I am in need, unless you're kill-stealing, but I forgive you. I will forever be your reluctant Maple pet with healing capabilities. <3 I love love love you.
Splyte (formerly ANBUMatt), you've not only been kind enough to think of me when you found a pan lid eons ago, you actually gave it to me. Thank you for helping me with items, quests, and keeping me company - if only more people on Maple were like you.
(P.S. let's chase more drakes, mafia gangs, balrogs and other ungodly creatures so we can get in trouble and run for our lives; it makes the game more interesting.)
Teshiruu, I'm so happy to have you play Maple with me, even if only for a little while. We'll always be WoW buddies together too. You spoil me so much on that game, so you can count on me being the happiest when I spoil you rotten on Maple.

JOURNAL LAYOUT, CHANGES && STATUS 05.19.2006 Journal's (almost) grand opening. <3
05.20.2006 Uppie-dated my picture album, and finished my market section. Check it out, ye scurvy dogs.
05.25.2006 Fixed up the picture album more, and wiped out my entire list for the Market section. Don't need it anymore, since I now have a shop permit.
06.21.2006 Tidied the entire journal. Everything was turned into "???" as a result of using special text characters in this journal. Got rid of those. And I updated some information.
08.18.2006 Long time no update! I updated the ability/skill stats, equips, and I added more screenshots to the photo album.
10.08.2007 I'M BACK LMFAO. Who would have guessed that after so long, I'd just start playing again? Yeah, I quit last year in August. It is now October of the following year. I might not stay on for very long, but at least I'm back for a little while. I fixed some broken links in the gallery, I added a journal entry, and I updated the Character Info and Equips & Stats sections.
10.12.2007 I changed the color of the headings for this journal, as well as the title and "little mentionables" section. I'm also going to make an update shortly after I write this. I got NX cash the other day so I spent a lot of it on fixing up my avatar. Check it out! o:
07.17.2009 BACK AGAIN. Seriously, I'm hoping to stick around this time. Honestly. I'm trying. As far as journal updates go, I need to update my character information (I leveled twice and I like keeping my stats/abilities updated). I don't have the time right now, but I will hop on it soon.
07.29.2009 Did an extensive amount of redecorating for this journal, even though it doesn't look like I did much. I changed the headers of every main post (welcome, character info, etc). What do you think?
09.05.2009 Updated the Stats & Equips, also added my "Blessing of the Fairy" skill since I'll also be keeping track of my Blaze Wizard, Romanciated.

Links to sites that I've found useful. Good for personal resources; just don't give your password to anyone, duh. <3Hidden Street (Global) - All around useful information. I go here when I need help with maps and locating NPCs, monsters, or items.
MapleTip - Like HiddenStreet, very useful with anything you might need for information.
MapleWiki - "A wiki and guide to Wizet and Nexon's Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, MapleStory."
MapleSim - Character simulator. Pretty fun.
Henesys.com - Nice signature generators for forums. Lots to choose from.
Sleepywood.net - Another place for guides, forums.
Basil Market - Great help if you want to know the approximate price for an item before you sell it. Also includes auctions.
Maple News - As the title says.
Maple Dictionary - Great help for people trying to understand the universal abbreviations/terms in the game. (I had no idea what "L>" was for the longest time!)
StrategyWiki: MapleStory - Another good source for basic information on the game, including links to other sites.
MapleFantasia - A great cosmetic guide for all hair and surgery types in the game.

Okay, so, here's an actual entry.
Lately I've been really bored with MapleStory (Oh no!), mostly because Riley is out of town this weekend and won't be able to play until next Wednesday. I miss him already. This is going to be a long weekend...
Matt kind of disappeared off Maple, and most of my other friends haven't been online. I wonder where everyone is? I'm lonely.
So, I've been leveling off of Panda teddies. Damnit, they're so cute, it's a sin to kill them. Even though they're annoying ******** after a while, when my HP can easily drop to 35. But still, why must this game be so adorable?
I need an omok table. BADLY. I'm also in dire need of the Maple Books found on the ship to Orbis, and the one in Grendel the old fart's house.

Alright. So this morning, I'm back in Victoria, and still yet, no Maple Book in either Grendel the old fart's house or that ship to Orbis. Sigh. I set off immediately to find the Game NPC in Henesys Mushroom Park, and hope I can finally make that omok game set since I've got all of my omok set ready in Ludibrium.
... But he can only make omok tables with Victoria Island monsters.
Oh, for crying out loud. Am I doing something wrong? I hope I didn't waste a bunch of meso all for nothing. Oh well, I guess I'll sit around at Grendel's for most of the day and wait for that box to appear.
So with nothing to do, I was up until 3 in the morning, entertaining level 7 newbies at the Henesys Hunting Ground with my pixelated a** teleporting around the screen. Yay, fun for all!

UPDATE: Just after I made this entry, I found the Maple Book at Grendel's house. I just have one more to go.
