Question that every duelist is asking. Which one is better?! Sinister Serpent or Treeborn Frog!

In my personal opinion, nothing will be better than Sinister Serpent. ( For reasons I can harp on about forever. ) Though, this isn't about what I think. It's about what you think. >.>; Your opinions are welcomed here!

I personally like treeborn...while it may not give you hand advantage it can give you tribute fodder in a pinch or atleast another card for your opponent to chew through to get at your preciaos life points.((assuming he dosent have peircing monsters of course))

it'll also allow you to metamorphasis for TER from the feild and still allow another normal summon rather than normaling serpent and playing metamorph...just makes it slightly easier IMO

People dislike treeborn, because he cannot be special summoned, if there are spells and/or traps on your side of the field. Where as serpent, has free reign.

O_o It's pointless to summon another monster for Thousand-Eyes Restrict, since he is the only monster that can attack, so that explanation is kind of... bogus. That's just giving your opponent one more monster to destroy with a Lightning Vortex, Smashing Ground, Etc. The only time this would be worth it, is if the other monster you are summoning is Tsukuyomi to put Thousand-Eyes Restrict face down.

Like I said. In my opinion, Sinister is better about reasons I can harp on about forever. Though, it's not about me. >.>; I'd like to see what other people think.

EDIT: Everything is becoming trample, as of late and during a monster rush, Treeborn NOR Serpent would stand a chance. Especially Treeborn, if you're relying on his special summoning conditions. Why? Because you won't have any spells/traps to stop your opponent from a pure beat down.

cant argue with you logic...but I still prefer him over serpent...over his many downsides he is still, afterall, tourney playable...and that's all I really get to do is tourneys.

I really like serpent a lot more than the frog. I mean...With serpent, you can do all sorts of discard effect combo's, while with the frog, its almost as you're setting him up to be killed again. You'd have nothing else to protect him, so unless you had something to back you up in your hand, it wouldn't work out too well.

Sure, if you were expecting him to be there in order to tribute him, for a summon, or even for an effect like Panther warrior. But I think that the frog fits into fewer decks than serpent.

Yes, I agree!

People think that Treeborn Frog is completely Sinister Serpent's replacement. They do not know how wrong they are. Treeborn Frog - cannot - fit in any deck, despite people's wishes. Serpent, in my opinion can. That's why he is banned. A majority of the things that are banned/limited are cards that can fit into any deck. Such as.. the D.D. Monsters, Dark Hole, Etc.

An' of course Treeborn is tournament playable. Sinister is banned! Before he was banned, he was very tournament Playable.

First off my vote is with the serpent... I like him better then that frog... I mean re-useable tribute is nice and all but ultimate defense is so much cooler ^^

I agree as well, treeborn is much different then the serpent... since you techincally leave yourself at a card disadvantage if you want that frog back...but the serpent just keeps on going and going and going ^^:;

And it's also true that most cards banned are either from overpowered archetype or cards that just can fit and make any deck much more powerful then it should be.

Also I agree on the limitness of treeborn, more then 1 is just crazy... crying

Treeborn would be a lot cooler if you could summon more than one at once XD

That would be awsome for a lot more decks. You could rush, burn out...Lotsa stuff biggrin
