Okay...Zutara is great. It's got le whole yin-and-yang aspect, which is what much of Avatar is about. Katara likes her men with tragic pasts, and Zuko has le most tragic past and present of all. Besides, Zuko really needs someone to make sure he doesn't do anything too crazy now that he left Iroh as well. Andtogetlaid. Katara and Zuko seem like they could be a couple that could actually get along well most of the time. Plus, if Zuko hopefully ends up becoming Fire Lord Zuko, a marraige with a Water Tribe woman would finalize an end of conflicts between the Fire Nation and les other nations, and may make a still-powerful ally for the Southern Water Tribe. And there's that whole powerful-bender-aunt-Wu business, but there are a lot of those.
Bad points are, it comes with an angry brother-in-law.

On top of that, Katara mentioned in The Fortuneteller that she liked men that are tall. Zuko is tall.
The only thing I have against Zutara is that it makes liking SokkaxAzula kind of weird, and Sokkla is my OTP. Otherwise, I think it's easy to see.

hmm.. im not a Zutara shipper *please dont flame me* sweatdrop sweatdrop i mean, yea i could kind of see it, but then again, i cant. they're just too different, besides the is the fact that hes from the fire nation, they killed her mother, Zukos always trying to hurt them, yatta-yatta-yatta... i just dont see the chemistry. i do believe in the whole yin-yang aspect, but i dont see it working with these two... especailly in "The Siege of the North" Katara was determined to whoop Zukos butt!!! she wasnt holding anything back...and neither was he.....im a Kataang fan! heart

Heres some more reasons as to why i dont think Katara and Zuko will go together:
1) hes from the firenation, and they killed her mother. *not something shes ever gonna forget*
2) Zuko is hunting these guys down, and is technically trying to hurt Aang, *hello? Aang is one of her best friends, so she wont take that lightely*
3) theres the whole: "you rise with the moon, i rise with the sun" thing
4) They're both very stubborn, strong-willed, and they dont back down during a fight *could you imagine that in a relationship? that would be a disaster*
5) Zukos more "hot headed" *i dont mean that mean, but, Zuko's just has a bad temper and not much patience*. where Katara is very mellow, and calm.. very rarely does she ever really lose it* when she does watch out*
thats just some of my reasons, please dont flame me, and dont get me wrong, i like Zuko too blaugh but i just cant see him with Katara.. i think he'd be better with someone else *like Song* heart

But I don't think that would have effected Katara at all if she even did show interest in Zuko.

How does this affect Zutara shipping? It doesn't. Sure, it affects Aang and Katara's opinions about Zuko, but Katara is a hopeless romantic. She'd have already fallen for him if she liked him.

I've never been one to believe in that theory. Don't get me wrong, there is good and bad, but I can't see it. Zuko is too uptight and Katara is too loose and laid back. It doesn't mix well, and the yin-yang theory doesn't really apply to relationships to me. (I can't see, for instance, Hilary Duff dating Marilyn Manson.)
4) Actually, that's a good thing. That's how my boyfriend and I are. The thing is, we don't disagree on many things. When we do, we duke it out and in the end one of us has to let go. It makes us stronger together, than weaker as you might suppose.

I will admit that Katara would help out his anger management problems, but let's face it, Zuko wouldn't get mad or betray the one he loved. He seems like the overprotective type to me.
