I now truely believe that rap music is reponsible for the decline of the current generation...

I only say this because I walk into the next room, only to be greeted by the words of a song my sister just happened to be listening to... to which the words went sommat like

"Go stupid, go stupid.. it's okay, act retarded..." ...etc...

It bothered me... because... it goes against all the values and lessons I've taught her throughout her short lifetime... sweatdrop

Lessons such as:
Don't act retarded
Don't be stupid
etc...

I must agree.

I don't even consider rap, music.
Some of it is okay.
Kayne West/those who don't rap about their money, teeth, cars, hoes, bling. :3
Sets a bad example.
(Though some could say the same about other forms of music. ^^; wink

While listening to the song in fact...
But they aren't really the current generation. Both of them will be 21 this year

Well, yeah... there's lot's o' questionable music out tehre, ya know? But I mean... rap pretty much predominantly sets bad examples for young kidz... and MTV is so obsessed about showin' boobehs n' asscheek... man, it's startin' to piss me off... stressed

kids at school don' talk about anuthin' but that party they went to the night before, or how much the got Eff'd up or how wasted they were a couple days ago, or how they can't remember their birthday party, or how they 'did it' with 'X' amount of freshman gurls, or how they told off their teacher, or how they skipped school, or how they pimp'd their rides, or how they stole something, or got something stolen from them...

I jus' want to... to...

I had a teacher who had been teaching her entire adult life and she went to work in an airport (No, not because teachers are underpaid wink ) but because "children have just changed now."

I notice it even in my friends. Smart girls getting into drugs and alcohol and getting so trashed they don't remember a thing.
I'm not saying I am perfect, but I do have some sense of what that sort of crap will do to me.

Children have changed... and adults don' really notice that much... I mean, I was watching Oprah (well, my mum was watchin'... I jus' happened to be nearby...) and it was about this 13-yo boy who was 'raped' by his teacher, right? Well, he was in an interview... during which he was asked to recount the events n' such... but man, teh whole time, he sounded like he was proud... 'lil ********... he pissed me off too, the fact that he didn't even get in trouble...

don' get me wrong, rape is bad... I know rape is bad... but he was jus' so smug about it... evil

A quote from a media text I am studying: 'Society made me do it" as an instant response to getting detention.

Children are growing up faster than ever.
Twelve year olds having sex, doing drugs and partying all night and their parents being powerless to stop them.

Maybe the problem lies with the parents too... they brought us up this way, they didn't stop it... Then again, that is another characteristic of our generation.... blaming others.

Well I figure blaming myself in this instance really won't help the problem, now will it? talk2hand

...but srysly... I feel as if I should personally kick the a** of every kid I meet... jus' to instill some value into them xd Not that it would help... but some stern talking to's are needed...
