Now, we all know that "Revolution" was merely a code name, and now, here is the official name
Nintendo Wii...yah...
now then, Wii is pronounced as "We," and Im kinda thinking... no! Now, I know this is just a name and has nothing to do with how great this system will be, but... c'mon!

It's just awful! This is worse than when the changed Song of Happiness to Magical Melody! It's been the Revolution for so long, they just should have kept it that way.

ok the name sucks the gayness out of liborchi's a**s the revolution sound better like nintendo was comming out with this grand.......thing and now it sounds like somthing you do when you go to the bathroom

Oh but I still love the system. I don't give a damn if it's called a Wii now, since the games will ultimately decide how goo it is anyways. Nintendo's smart maketing ploy =3

i'm gonna buy the system (damn name) and i know it's gonna be alot of fun (DAMN NAME) i hope the new smash bros game has Really good Charecters in it

I found out that according to rumors, the name "wii" applies to "we" as in the refrence to "us" as in people as a whole. it would be a severe marketing mistake to call it the Nintendo "us", because certain anti-America groups would boycott it if it was called the "us", by interpreting it as "U.S." two initials of the United States.
also, to my oppinion, "Wii" applies to "Wireless, Internet, Innovation".
so now that I thought that, I can only assume you'll see the title as an abreviation of my assumption.
the Nintendo "Wireless Internet Innovation". otherwise known as "Wii". ^__^

dragn99 RAPTOR948 dragn99 "Wii" applies to "Wireless, Internet, Innovation". thats not bad... not bad at all well it's only my assumption, still, it's a damn good one. its actually supposed to be something like "Wii will play together" its not an acronym, but I like the one you made I think mine better describes the Wii anyways. it's wireless, it's innovative, and it lets you play online. ^__^ awesome for netgaming, and there's a few games slated for it. ^__^ two of which are DBZ Tenkaichi 2, and a Marvel game that plays on the basic stuff from X-Men Legends with over 100 Marvel heroes and of them there's Spider-man, Wolverine, Captain America, and I think the Thing. ^__^ lots of heroes to choose from. ^__^
