Personally I don't think it matters much what race Mugen is. And it really shouldn't matter much to anyone else either.
Mugen is Mugen, nothing more, nothing less.
And to slap labels onto anyone for that matter, is stupid. Labels by race, religion, clothes, etc. It's all stupid.
I would lock this for thread that specific reason, but I'm not that mean.

I agree not to lable. But really think he's Japanese like everyone else in the story. He's much more darker skined then the other's because he wears less clothes then the others and travels alot. So he's more prone to get a tan than pasty-faced Jin.

I think Mugen is Japanese and Black. I saw a picture of a guy from a j-rock group who was mixed with Japanese and Black. You could tell too. The band is High and Mighty Color. My friend told me about it, so by any chance if Im wrong sorry. But yeah, Mugen looks like a mixture of Japanese and Black.

He's tanned. I forget what they called people like him. Probably what you would call a Dark Asian.
They have them in China and most other Asain nations. If you read Peach girl you will get a better clue of what I am talking about.
In short he is pretty much Japanese.
