the closest to the anime version of DnD would be the aDnD cartoon series, i am not saying that this anime isnt good, (i am so much like ameilia, which isnt a good thing) but still this is just an action anime

I love Slayers. I have seen all three series. It is one of the funniest anime that I have seen. I especially like Gourry.

and anyone who thinks it isn't D&D related hasn't watched it enough, there are direct D&D references in many of the episodes I have.

I actually have all three opening themes on my mp3 player. Slayers is by far my favoirte anime and has been for as long as I can remember. Slayers next being the best in my opinion. I watched the whole series over one weekend.

Slayers is great! I own two of the Slayers movies, but I haven't gotten around to buying the series. Eventually, I will, though.
Another good one that is very D&Dish is Rune Soldier. And, how can anyone forget Record of Lodoss Wars?

I've heard of slayers, I've even seen the DVD's and if they had made it more clear which one came first I'd probably have bought at least one of them. Sadly the names don't help, there are no numbers, so I have to sigh and wait.
