Ayame didn't have it coming. When she was little, Koga promised, and a Promise is a Promise, Period. No matter what, who it is, no matter how old, it'll stay there. Love and Promise falls in the same catagory, which promising is actually we all know as in engagement, which Koga and Ayame are in the stage of marriage. People today are not only marrying for love, some for money and power. Yes i know it's horrible, but things have changed. Throwing it away will just make it knock on your door endlessly, besides, Kagome's Heart belongs to Inu-Yasha, she doesn't like Koga, just sees him a friend that is all. If Koga was honest, he would of told Kagome he is engaged but he didn't and it whacked him in the head like Hirakotsu. Inu-yasha doesn't need to be honest, he's been abused by humans all around when he was a little guy, because he was half-demon, Koga's is a differnt story, after he propesd to Ayame he went slaying humans not only for food, just for the fun of it and for Power (Shikon jewels), i don't think Kagome would appreciate that. One more thing, Ayame and Koga were from different tribes, and the tribe leaders were best friends with each other, so they decieded to have their clans united and when they saw Koga had someoe to marry in the future,who was form the other clan, the tribe were delighted and now it all reduced to rubble. IF Koga can at least stop running away from his past and get it over it.

Your friend is bullshitting you most likely. Koga will probably never give in, and even then I think wolf-demons don't marry so much as they raise pups and have quick, violent shags in vaguely innapropriate places, and drag their butts across the carpet when the other partner is away.
