Depends. If it's just a straight - up fight, he has no chance in hell of beaing Goku. But if he has time to form a plan and analyze Goku's psychology and weaknesses, he could win.

Yeah you really need to post if there is any prep time on this battle. Maybe given foreknowledge of the battle Lex could find Goku's weakness, but if they just run into each other Lex is toast.

Clark~Kent I thought prep time was a given. No, you never mentioned prep time. That is the only way Lex could have any chance of victory. And even if prep time is given, I've never noticed any outstanding weaknesses that Goku possesses, other than his tail, which was removed at an early age anyway.

I don't remember the medicine vaccinating him against it, but anyway I said Lex would have to tweak the DNA structure a bit to get it to work better so it would get around any vaccination properties the medicine had as well.

Before we even consider Luthor coming up with a lethal virus, think about how he would get Goku to eat food with the virus in the first place. Even with prep time, Goku's isn't gullable enough to take food from Luthor just because he offers it.

That's still not a very believable concept. This is a fight isn't it? Not a spying contest. Prep time doesn't include him poisoning Goku's food. It means giving him time to devise a plan, while Goku waits and trains.

He could develop an airborne agent, or a dart that would inject it into him (Goku's skin can be penetrated by needles and Gero's drone managed to get a cell sample from Goku when he wasn't aware so injecting something into his bloodstream wouldn't be too difficult). Or Lex could study his fighting moves and create a battlesuit to fight him, or use a phantom zone projector or something. There are tons of things he could do.

As long as Goku knows that he's giving Luthor prep time, his chances of being victim to a drone of some kind are slim to none. Plus, Goku was a child when Gero got those samples. As an adult, he is much more aware. And unless Luthor makes a suit of some kind that moves faster than the speed of light, and has the ability to nuke solar systems, then he's finished, even with prep time.
