American Idol Upcoming Theme ShowsYou might be a little rock 'n roll, but American Idol is going to be all country this Tuesday. The Top 9 will tackle the world of country and we'll see who's got the chops to move forward. Then, on Wednesday, come back for the results and a very special performance by the legendary Kenny Rogers. Then, on Tuesday, April 11th, the Top 8 Contestants will take on the music of the legendary Rock Band, QUEEN. Will someone be able to top Constantine's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody? Tune in to find out! Then, come back on Wednesday for a special hour episode, when the Top 8 will also perform a QUEEN song or medley!Source: American Idol Official Page It's bad enough that my family watches this show, but having to watch this WITH them? Ah! How embarrassing! xd I might have a Roger-spasm in front of my folks or something! Anyways, what do you guys think? Will it be the worst case scenario? A horrible greatest hits show full of horrendous covers? I think so... Personally, I'm a little worried that one of the lesser-qualified contestants is going to dust of a little-know classic and kill the song completely. Hmm... Also, does anyone think that perhaps Brian or Roger will step in as a celebrity judge? I'm not sure how the selection process works, but still, maybe it's a possibility. Whether you watch American Idol or not, let's hear some feedback!

I really dislike that show. My family loves it, while I can't stand it...
For those two nights, though, I'll surpress my dislike for the show and sit in and watch it... Though, I'm a bit scared of the turnout.
It'll probably turn out to be this horrifying rendition of the hits... Or, maybe some of them might be good.
I don't honestly know... But I think it'll turn out pretty badly.

Meh, I watch American Idol to listen to Simon's wise words of brutal honesty XD (that, and I like listening to their egotistical reign of pride before leaving the show *rofl*)
But I will watch this for a good laugh >w< No one can top Freddie's voice, and Queen songs sound weird as it is even with a pro taking the helm of the song (with exception to Paul though, he seems to make it work for him...frighteningly~)

Gah! I'm officially confused! I just caught the end of tonight's episode and Ryan was showing a clip of next week show! Roger and Brian were jamming on what looked to be the AI stage, with a contestant! Do my eyes decieve me? Was it an illusion? Maybe I will have to watch it!

Yeah, I came to school Thursday and like twenty people were so eagar to tell me about it I thought I was gonna have to mop up some piss. Totally gonna watch it, especially if Roger and Brian will actually be there?

TANGENT ...Oh... my... goodness! ...Roger looked amazing! xd Ah! The jacket! The tie! The hair! His EYES! They were like: BLUE!! And he's lost so much weight! Gah! Brian was cool too, I 'spose, but wow! I was just blown away by how fit and happy and... and made-for-TV they are these days! I just wanna give them a hug and tell 'em how proud I am at their courage for touring/etc. Ahem, yes, the contestants did an "a'ight" (or whatever Randy says) job in my book. I thought the first two songs were really poorly covered (Bucky and Ace?) but it picked up when Kellie did Bo. Rhap. I was sort of happy that Chris went with a more obscure song. Was it Innuendo, Mike? I thought it was a song off of Innuendo... (Keep Passing [Something] Window?) Hmm. Either way, I liked the performance. The next one that stuck out in my mind was Katherine's rendition of Who Wants to Live Forever. I really don't like that song but she made me see it in a whole new light! Taylor was really good, I like him, and the girl at the end (Paris) was amazing! She also made me see a new beginning for a song I've never been that fond of. So... there were some really great covers from what I saw, and some real stinkers. And Roger looked hot. xd heart
