Small insight.
I was at an anime convention a couple weekends ago. The first night (Friday) there were 3 catboys (myself included). The second day, there were 5. The last (Sunday) there were 20. eek
The population of catgirls remained consistant at about 25. Funny, considering the theme of the convention was 'You Can't Handle the Catgirls' (AKA, be inventive and make another costume!).
And the whole weekend I didn't even get so much as a squee. crying
