Hello everyone! Blue here with an important question for you all. It's been brought up by staff and some customers and I wanted to get everyone's input before a final decision is made as this will affect the whole shop. How is the pricing in the shop, in regards to pricing for customs, breedings, and flatsales? Paid Raffles and Auctions won't be changing pricing due to the nature of them and they should be reasonably priced for them.
Are the prices for customs, breedings, and flatsales too low? Too high? Just right? Or would you rather we implement a Pay What You Want system? If so then one where there's a minimal payment of 1 plat, or one where no pay is also acceptable?

I am going to preface this with a disclaimer. I haven't been around Gaia much since the switch to platinum. As such, I am not sure how hard/easy it is to earn in comparison to the old gold system. Likewise, I no longer work in shops so my income is whatever I've been getting from posting, which I'm not even sure is a thing, now that I think about it. I should keep track for a bit to see...
Anyway, the funds I have are what I converted to platinum from when the B/C was a bustling hub of activity and I worked in multiple shops at any given time. I am operating on a 'retirement' system with a finite amount of monies.
That being said, I do think the prices seem low. I know it used to be like 100g/raffle ticket, 5,000g for a flatsale pet (more if it was multi-stage). I don't know that a good conversion rate ever really got pinned down but I don't think raising prices would hurt. Or, you could do PWYW that way anyone who isn't 'old money' can still afford things, and those of us who do have platinum to spare can share it as appropriate based on complexity of the pet.

I'm not as active as I used to be on Gaia. The only shop I work for does things for free (with activity). And it may seem harsh to say but I just don't have time/energy to do Gaia's games. I am fine with you raising prices if you think it's needed. But if it's too prohibitive I won't be able to participate in pay events. So my vote was PWYW. I will pay what I can but it isn't much.
