Though something made a flare of hesitation well up within her. Recently she'd joined some of the other females in rituals and worship that had felt familiar, even good. Although it was painful to be reminded of her home pride, of her family, the familiarity of prayer and offerings (even if they weren't what she was used to when it came to that sort of thing) made her feel...settled in this place. For now she'd bide her time, but if Tawa and this new male ruffled her fur too much she'd leave.

"Mm. Pity," Umlotha said, though there was none in her voice. Those three had been here for quite some time and they'd been fine as defenders, but it was always good to get new males in the pride from time to time. It wouldn't do to have the same ones spreading their genes around too much.
She chuckled as the large male commented on their manner of speaking and gave him a little wink. "Don't worry, I think the ladies find your accent charming." If the starry eyed lionesses around her weren't obvious enough.
"You've earned your place here, so it is only fitting we help you settle in. Any questions or concerns you have can be brought to me and the other Omama. But take a few days to rest, relax, if you have wounds we have lionesses that will see to them."
The young lioness caught her attention and she glanced at Ritte, shaking her head slightly. "Not uncommon, no. More common for the Inselele to change than the Abholi, but it happens every few years. It's best for the pride to see them come and go."

Tawa was a bit surprised when a few of the females acknowledged him. They all knew him, of course, and he had been expecting them to simply glance his way or ignore him completely in favor of Nko. It was nice, though, to be welcomed back rather than scorned or sneered at. He turned as Nama approached him and he offered her a small smile of thanks.
"I will. Thank you. It's good to be be back."
