Phae 1
With the expectation of seeing her children and grandchildren she'd cleaned the house up nice and good before cooking a nice meal for them. Of course her husband was working, as usual. She swore the man was addicted to working now that he had grandchildren to spoil endlessly. It only made her roll her eyes affectionately at him.
Now of course she was setting the table waiting for everyone to arrive. Having such a big family made her smile. Phaedra knew Bushi loved having such a large family.

When the idea had been brought up to go to his mother's for a family meal he couldn't pass it up. It meant seeing his children without looking suspicious. Of course he'd told Adenah about it too but she couldn't arrive with him due to work but she was expected later on.
As he got there he saw Thea and half of her hoard of kids. "Hey Thea. Where's the rest of 'em?" He took note of the missing half before looking at her and moving a hand to knock on the door to let his mother know they were there.

She grinned at her older brother as she waved a hand at him. Her green eyes went to the kids she had with her before she grinned a bit. "The other half are with Rydan. I wanted him to pick some wine up for mom. They tagged along with him but should be here soon." She reached out and put her hand on top of Zohra's head since he was the closest to her.
"Where's your better half?" She had to ask about Adenah.

He looked up at his uncle when he heard his voice, having been previously occupied with the Loatoa that was always with him. He grinned and gave a small wave before he went back to giving his familiar scritches. Lynx listened to the question about the rest of his family before he smirked at his mother's answer. "You mean they went with dad to make sure he didn't get side tracked." He snickered.
After his uncle knocked he moved forward to open the door to his grandmother's place. "Gran! We're here!"

With his mother putting her hand on his head he moved his eyes upward like he could see it before he adjusted his sight to look at his uncle. Quickly he was distracted by his brother and him opening the door. Moving away from his mother, Zohra called out to his grandmother as well. "Well, some of us." Since they were missing the other half still.

She stayed back by her aunt, quiet as she watched everyone. Siofra didn't want to get in the middle of the boys if they decided to get rowdy. Lynx and Zohra could rough house with some seriousness and she wasn't about to be dragged into it like last time. Instead she looked at her dad and gave a timid wave while sticking to Thea's side. She looked toward the door as her cousins pushed it open and called in. Of course the reply they got from inside made her perk up a bit.

The knock to the door alerted her that her guests had arrived. Straightening up she turned to go toward the door but heard the call of her grandsons before she could move. "Hello boys! Come on in!" She called as she made her way to the door to greet them. When she noticed the others she grinned at them. "Come on! Food is almost done." She just needed to let it simmer a bit longer for the best flavor, though if someone was hungry now they could eat.

He watched as Lynx moved forward to open the door followed closely by Zohra. Dovian chuckled a little. Hearing that Rydan went to pick something up and the other half of the kids went along to make sure he wasn't lost in transit made him laugh. "My better half is still working but she should come around later."
The wave his daughter gave him was noticed and he nodded at her. "Hey little sprite."
When he heard his mother call out to them he motioned for the others to go in before him. "After you."

Knowing that Ade was still working made her frown a bit. It sucked that she would miss the beginning of dinner. However, as they were motioned inside she looked down at Sio with a smile and steered her through the door. "Hey mom!" She greeted before looking back to make sure everyone got inside.
"I have half the hoard here, other half will arrive with Rydan and some wine." She grinned. "How have you been?"

With their grandmother calling them in he was the first through the door and moving over to give the older woman a hug. His familiar, not wanting to get smooshed between them, moved up to his shoulder instead and sniffed at Phae from her perch.
"Smells good Gran. Did you make desert too?" He had to ask about that since he loved when his grandmother made sweets.

He grinned and followed his brother inside, waiting until Lynx was done with his hug before he swooped in to latch onto his grandmother. "Miss us?" He looked up at Phae before he chuckled. "Ooo, yeah, did you make desert? Is it the sugar apple crumble?" That one tended to be his favorite. Zohra was a fan of anything apple really.
When he let go he moved out of the way so the next person could give his grandmother a hug.

She was steered inside but didn't seem to mind so much. She waited her turn then latched onto Phaedra, wrapping her arms around her grandmother and clinging. Her face was instantly buried into the woman's chest, much like when she was a little girl. When she felt her back being scratched lightly she arched into it and sighed softly. Family was amazing.
After a moment she turned her head to look at her dad and aunt but she wasn't giving up her spot in the hug.

With the hugs coming she could only laugh. Lynx and his familiar were first. Of course she smiled at the small beast as it sniffed at her. She knew Juniper well enough that she didn't worry over it freaking out. A kiss was placed to the boy's head before he pulled away. Before she could respond to his question Zohra was next and she had her arms around him quickly. "I did miss you. All of you." Another kiss, this one given to Zohra's head before she chuckled and answered the one about desert. "Yes, I made desert. I can't have my boys starving now, can I?"
With Siofra giving her a hug she was more gentle. Her arms pulled the girl in and her hands ran her nails up and down her granddaughter's back softly. A kiss was placed on Sio's head as well. Phae absolutely loved having such a big family.
"We can wait for everyone else to get here before we eat, then. Unless someone wants something right now. Boys, you get washed up. Lynx be sure to put Juniper on the floor before you sit at the table." She wanted to make sure those things were clear.

He watched as each of the kids went in for a hug and couldn't keep the grin off his face. The way his mother was with each of them made him a bit jealous though. "You were never this nice when we were younger." He teased. Of course he heard his sister beside him snicker at that.
"Ah, I need to wash up too. Came straight from the forge." So his hands were a bit dirty still and he was sure he had dust on him somewhere. But that didn't matter. He leaned in to give his mother a hug, mindful that his daughter was still clung to her. He ruffled her hair as he did and chuckled. "Grandma is still your favorite huh?" He couldn't really argue.

She snickered at her brother's comment. "Please, you were the favorite. Soft and sweet little Dovi." Thea had to pick on her brother. What kind of sister would she be if she didn't? And it didn't matter if he was older.
She waited until he was done with his hug before she went in for her own, though she just wrapped her arms around both Sio and her mom. She squished her niece/daughter between them with a laugh. "I don't blame Sio for her choice in favorites." The girl was obviously the closest to her own twin, which she understood. Lynx and Iexa were close. And she adored her grandmother. Which Thea understood that as well since Phae was an absolute gentle soul when it came to family.
