The zenos were observing how the universes were doing with gathering their teams and were getting very excited about the upcoming tournament as their best friend Goku of the 7th universe has gathered his team mates or so they thought. Apparently, Buu has fallen into a deep sleep once again and now Goku must recruit one more member.

Goku tries everything to wake Buu up, but is unsuccessful. When he returns to Capsule corp to meet with the others, he discovers that Beerus spilled the beans on what was truly going on with the tournament of power and some members were going to leave because they were just in it for the money. Beerus threatens Krillin to force him to participate, but Bulma tells the others that were going to leave that she will make good on Goku's promise of 10 million zenie each if they win. That left finding the 10th member, which Beerus gave Goku the idea of recruiting Frieza.

Goku arranges a 24 hour pass for Frieza to fight in the tournament of power, however, the agreement for Frieza to participate is to be freed from hell using the earth's dragon balls provided they win.

Everyone save for Goku and Frieza are ready to depart for the tournament, but some assassins have come to eliminate Frieza and Goku before the tournament begins.

Frieza and Goku deal with the assassins with the help of Beerus. The two fighters spar but land a blow at the same time and must now leave with Beerus to get to the tournament.

The universes gather together in the null realm and are soon going to fight to see who is the best of the best.

The tournament begins and 2 fighters of 80 have met with defeat already, but not from the 7th.

The 9th Universe loses and was eliminated from existence. Only 69 fighters remain.

Krillin showed off a few moves to eliminate someone from the 4th Universe, but was ambushed by Frost of the 6th and eliminated. So the 7th universe has 9 fighters left.

When Caulifla shows that she is interested in fighting Goku, Kale loses it and goes into Broly mode. She fights Goku until Jiran had to step in and stop her rampaging.

Kale and Caulifla eliminate 5 of the pride troopers with the help of 18 and therefore, the 11th universe is down to 4 members left.

The maidens of the 2nd universe wanted a shot in the spotlight and 17 saw an opportunity to strike. Then two of the ladies were knocked out of the ring by 17, thus bringing universe 2 closer to extinction.

After a brief struggle the 10th Universe has been eliminated. Only 6 Universes remain of the 8 that were.

The rabbit pride trooper of the 11th fought against Goku and Hit alongside his partner named Kimchi. Kimchi had the ability of energy ropes that could explode when touched, but was knocked out of the ring leaving the rabbit to regroup.

Master Roshi takes out 3 fighters from the 4th universe in a row, but nearly died doing so.
