At first, Krillin was terrified of the enemies that appeared because they had all killed him in the past. Goku realized what the foes really were after a while and was the first to figure it out. When Krillin realized it, he felt like he needed to become a fighter again for 18 and for Marron.

Goku was doing some farming until some thieves held him up and he took a bullet to the arm. So, realizing that he needed some training, he and Goten buy some sweets from a bakery and then call Whis and Beerus to eat them. This way, Goku could train with Whis for a while while waiting for the Tournament of Power and after speaking the the Zenos, Goku got his wish of the tournament.

After the grand minister explains the rules of the tournament of power and what it entails, he adds that there will be an expo of 3 fighters from the 7th Universe and 3 fighters from the 9th to show the future omni king just how these tournaments work. First up from the 7th is Fat Buu and first up from the 9th is a red wolf named Basil.

When Basil hurts Mr. Satan aka Hercule, Buu loses it and beats Basil good. Next up is Lavendar a golden wolf from the 9th against Gohan of the 7th.

The fight between Gohan and Lavendar ends up in a draw. Then the grand minister explains again what the rules of the tournament of power mean. The final round will pit Bercomo of the 9th who is a grey wolf against Goku of the 7th.

Goku beats Bergamo handily, but Bergamo has turned the universes against what Goku did claiming that he is a threat to the entire comsos and in a way, Bergamo is right. True that Goku arranged this under innocent circumstances, but it was the Zenos who chose to eliminate the losing universes from existance.

The 11th Universe's hero of justice Top fights against Goku in a bonus exhibition match, but the fight ends up in a draw. In 2 days, the tournament of power begins.

At the start of the recruitment for the 10 fighters, Gohan already said that he was in and Goku is obviously fighting in it, so that made 8 left. Then, after Whis helps with the delivery of Bulma's baby, Vegeta joins in on the fun so that made 7 left. Goku has left for Krillin's place to recruit 18 and Krillin. To make 5 left.

Goku and Gohan recruit 18 and Krillin and fibs about the prize. Then Krillin and Gohan have a sparring match, which Krillin wins. And then Goku and Krillin fight, but because 18 jumps in, Goku walks away from it and then asks about 17. 18 didn't know where 17 was except that he is on an animal reserve.

Goku spars with Buu and loses, but then goes to see Dende about android 17. Meanwhile the Kais and the destroyers save for the ones from the 7th universe all has a discussion about what to do and came up with the conclusion that they just go with whats planned.

Goku finds 17 and after helping him scare off some poachers and sparring with him, attempts to recruit him for the tournament of power, however, 17 declines because he feels that his current job is more important.

It took the truth and the fact that you get a wish on the super dragon balls and to help him with some space poachers in order to get 17 on the team for the tournament of power.

When with Piccolo Gohan trains more intensely than he ever had before and learns some things about his dormant power. Meanwhile, in the 6th universe, Cabba goes to his master to recruit him, but his master suggests recruiting Caulifla instead.

When trying to recruit Tien and Roshi, Goku finds that Tien has his own dojo. One lady who wanted to enroll tries to use shadow magic on the other students along with some enchanted talismans, but after she was stopped, not only does Tien and Roshi accept the invitation to the tournament of power, but the shadow magic wielder is able to enroll in Tien's school.

Gohan wishes to test his powers against the best that he knows, and that meant sparring with his dad. Sure enough, Goku wins the match, but Gohan was happy that his dad went all out and satisfied him with a good fight.
