Gold Khamaith

Since the start of the hatching, Khamaith had been content to linger behind the clutch. Her tail twined with Turoth’s, her wing gently draped over Baihath’s form -- though she could feel the excitement roll off him in near waves. There would be plenty of time to play, for now they had their own part to play, and with each shell cracking, Khamaith’s hearts were near aglow with love for each of her babies. Content to let themselves find their first steps in the world, no matter how they came about. She only watched as Tribal bronze bit into Teal Glow blue, the softest curl of worry in her eyes -- but all was well, and no intervention was needed. She only leaned her contact between both boys a bit more.

However, she glanced sharply to the stands, to Z’haq, her tone remained even-keel and sweet even for the flicker of warm color to her eyes. Kindly let my children figure themselves out. There is nothing to stress over, certainly not my lack of experience. Thank you. A sting that nettled her hearts, but she focused instead on the soft welcoming warmth she exuded since waking up to find her children shaking.

Z'haq cringed as the gold queen's admonition touched his mind. He HAD spoken impulsively and out of turn regarding her parenting skills. My apologies, Khamaith. I meant you no disrespect -- I was simply speaking from past experience with other queens and their clutches, and concerned for the safety of both your babies and the Candidates. You are an excellent mother and I know you will do right by your children. There was a healthy tone of contrition in the Wingleader's words to the queen. He hoped she wouldn't be too upset with him.

Eorawth heard Khamaith's words as well. Forgive Mine for speaking out of turn, Khamaith -- he only had the best interests of your children and the young people on the sands in his mind when he spoke. He will not say such things again. The bronze made sure Z'haq heard his words to Khamaith as well, and took them to heart.

En'cai of bronze Spurth

He could take a slap on the shoulder. Didn't mind it at all. It actually helped to quash his urge for shoulder slugging, so he was fairly grateful for it, all things considered.

"Yeah, sure," En'cai agreed. Sure, the angry bronze could kill his little blue brother, but the odds of that were slim. Had to be slim, with both parents sitting right there and ...

He sat up a little straighter, looking between Z'haq and the gold a couple of times. "Is she ... looking this way?"

Two bronzes already? Spurth seemed almost to glow with pride himself. He had nothing to do with them, but you had to puff out your chest a little for a new bronze or two. A fighting attitude means a strong dragon, he opined. Healthy. That's a good start. Good, good good.

Anneke of green Uluth

Anneke, high up in the Stands and very nearly a jack-in-the-box the way she ppopped up and don, hooted each time a dragon hatched, and she didn't seem to care who heard her do it. Cheerful encouragement rolled off of her in waves, but she couldn't help a boast. "Bronzes coming out of the little eggs? That big, beautiful rainbow egg will hatch the biggest green we've ever seen! Come on, greeeeeen!"

Nona of gold Shalbyath

Oh there they were! Nona’s two little darlings Shoxiel and Loctius! She wanted to wave, to call to them. To the be the truly exuberant parent that she was - but you know better than that. Shalbyath reminded her with the mental equivalent of a wink. Too right her darling queen was. She sat beside Amrit, and he beside Amra. Oh the most pleasant of beautiful company.

Shalbyath sent waves of warmth to her dear friends children, affection wreathing around Khamaith. You are doing simply magnificent. She reassured her old friend. Her eyes lingered towards the stands, glowering daggers at who dared to comment otherwise, apology or not this was not a place to speak impulsively. Leave it to someone who couldn’t even clutch to comment on someone’s mothering.

Your children are all wonderful and healthy. Every little one learns what their claws are for, even from back when you - when I were coming from our shells. It is deeply written. Just as they will find their bondeds and seem to grow right before your very eyes. She continued sweetly. Oh how little ones seemed to just grow every time you blinked.

Shalbyath stretched luxuriously, resisting the urge to flare her wings with a poised, practiced grace. She could sense her dear friend’s hurt. Perhaps.. After these sweet children were welcomed in the world they would go hunting and pull a herdbeast to shreds together. ’Why can’t men keep their tongues inside their head,’ Shalbyath huffed to her rider. However, Nona was less sympathic and all giggles. She could think of a few reasons why they shouldn’t, ha. She nearly sniggered into her hand, but instead whispered the awful joke to Amrit to play whisper down the lane.

Gold Khamaith

Whatever fringes of anger that swam at the edges of her eyes backed down, curling back into the blue-green-purple swirls that had been ever present since she first stepped onto the sands weeks ago with intention. No harm, seemingly no foul, dears. She addressed both rider and dragon, for she held no ill will for the flightleaders -- and someday would be leading her children as well. It’s a day of high emotion, and all will be well. Fights between children happened, maulings happened. Death, unfortunately, happened -- but they were young, unImpressed, and so many thoughts and words speaking to them. Khamaith loved each and every one of her babies -- and with training and instinct to guide her, she wanted to give them the best welcome she could. Her job was to maintain the atmosphere of the hatching, anything beyond was not her say.

{Keleres - She/her - 23- F - WW}

Keleres was folding laundry as part of her chores, humming a new tune some of the Weyr harpers had devised. The familiar humming rang out, blanketing the Weyr in delicious tension and anticipation. Keleres almost ran into people as she rushed to get changed, joining the throng of candidates.

Was Mari going to watch? Her heart slipped a beat before the young woman composed herself. She was here for the baby dragons. That was the most important part of today. Focus, and lend her energy to the moment.

She spied Brenley on the sands, and decided to join him. There was strength and positivity in numbers (at least, she hoped). She smiled in amusement as he jumped at Yellow Swirl's far reaching impact, although she empathised. The brown had an extraordinary ability to light the room with his touch, and she found her eyes drawn to him as she approached her fellow candidate.

"Hey Brenley! Wow, how amazing are these babies? And Teal Glow is so eager... It reminds me of Baihath." She hoped small talk wouldn't bring him discomfort.

Raiden [WW] - 18 - he/his/him - Candidate/Apprentice Beastcrafter

He wanted to shake off Bion’s mothering hand, but he let her have her moment. It was good to indulge women, and for them to feel needed and loved. Still, he was glad for her company. She’d always been so stalwart and kind- a fixture in his life for the past four Turns.

Belengath’s touch against his mind made him smile. Thank you… He thought back, hoping with all of his might that there might be a partner for him on the sands.

The Teal Glow egg moved with such passion that Raiden was taken aback. Only for a brief moment, of course- there was no way he could let anybody know he’d been surprised! Its sibling, the Butterfly egg, seemed to shake with a little more dignity; joined shortly by the Yellow Swirl, which was eager to see the world from the looks of it.

The Butterfly broke in two, and Raiden held back an awed gasp. My, what a beautiful, handsome creature. “Isn’t he beautiful?” Raid murmured to his sister, admiring. The Butterfly Bronze didn’t seem to be too interested in finding his bondmate amongst them, and the young man wondered if perhaps his partner was someone from the Stands who hadn’t quite… arrived… maybe.

The Pink Stripe egg wobbled as well, spurred on by its companions. It was Teal Glow who seemed to steal the show from its brethren, rolling from its wallow before careening into a group of candidates… Ouch, that had to hurt. He glanced towards Bionden, assuring himself that his sister was safe and protected.

From one moment to the next, the eggs were moving with such enthusiasm that Raiden could barely track the progress of each individual within. The Yellow Swirl egg hatched with a bang- and a wave of happiness washed over Raiden. Well now, what a lovely creature. He grinned at him, all of his earlier frustration melted away. It was hard to resist such a charismatic dragon, and he sent him positive thoughts. Of course you were missed. Now we can appreciate you all the more.

And yet, his eyes were drawn back to Teal Glow as it progressed through the sands, positively flying with the help of a wayward blue foot. Raiden’s jaw fell open, and he hoped to Faranth the creature within hadn’t hurt himself. Shells collided as Teal Glow blue accidentally struck Green Tribal, and this time Raiden did gasp, side-stepping almost instinctively as his sister was coated in goop.

“Shells, Bion, you’re not hurt are you?” He- perhaps a little too conspicuously- ignored Allamor’s fussing over his sister (who did he think he was, really?), and tore a piece of his robe to hand to Bionden to use as a towel.

Distracted, he didn’t notice Butterfly’s agitation, nor Yellow Swirl’s prancing amongst the candidates as he greeted certain individuals.

But he did hear Green Tribal Bronze’s roar. The trumpeting. The commanding tone in the young creature’s physical voice. He turned, his gut steeling himself for the possibility of ichor or blood. Yes, it was true- this bronze certainly had the mightiness of a worthy warrior, and the serious dignity of a regal lord, but… was the snapping at its poor brother necessary? Still- who was Raiden to judge? To say he’d been in a fair few scrapes of his own was a little bit of an understatement… “Bion, I’m here to protect you.” He murmured, convinced that somehow the dragon’s ire might also splash them as, as the goop had. No matter what, his sisters would not be hurt.

Zaexillia [WW] - 16 - she/her/hers - Candidate/Apprentice Healer

“It really is… I’m so happy for Khamaith, and her babies.” And Baihath and Turoth, of course. But it was a precious moment for a first-time mother: Khamaith was a sweet queen… and somehow, thoughts of her own mother drifted into Zae’s head.

Pale blue eyes took on a faraway glaze, before she shook her head slightly, still smiling. “Well, I hope nothing bad happens. She added, her smile curling a little at the edges. “I’d like for something to happen- that you Impress, mostly.” She bumped his elbow a little, her tone hopeful.

Farvath’s mental presence was a salve for a heart that was close to aching. Zae peered up at the crowded Stands, smiling in her grandfather’s general direction. Thanks, Farvath. Luck might play a part of the Impression process, but she knew she could count on her wits and mind. She focused on the present moment, watching each egg, attention slipping to those that moved the most.

The Teal Glow managed to get airborne, and Zae watched in amazement… right up until it careened into the Green Tribal egg. Oh no- the poor dragons! She hoped they were both okay. The young girl took a tiny step forwards, her healer instincts desperate to take control, but she forced herself back into place-

But not before she was splashed with egg goop, a surprise gift from the Tribal Bronze. As the great creature flared his wings, goo landed in her hair and face, sticky and surprisingly warm.

Well. It wasn’t vomit, at least. She’d had worse at the infirmary.

Zae blinked, stepping back, her instincts back under control. As she lifted a hand to brush goo from her cheek, she caught Allamor’s distinctive voice and unsuccessfully fought back a slight creeping blush. “Uhh- hii. Hi Allamor. Yeah... I mean no. None in my mouth.” Oh Faranth... Faranth, maybe she could just find quicksand and jump?

Pull it together girl.

Ansirien was much more of a comfort, and his voice was calming. “I’m all right. Intact, at least, save for some wounded dignity.” She pulled herself to her full if unimpressive height and nodded happily.

But with Tribal Bronze and Teal Glow Blue still at odds and so close by, Zae felt the need to put a little more distance between herself and possible danger, and took a slight step away from the dragons. They were lovely, of course, in their own way: but it was always best to let them settle down until they were ready to approach.

Tostokki [WW] - 19 - he/him/his - Rider of Bronze Ussurianth

Ussurianth is available for interaction if desired.

Come on, Ussurianth. You’ll enjoy watching.

As will you. Your friend is a candidate, is she not? You ought to go and support her.

Tosk sighed through gritted teeth. He had had just about enough of candidates, but that wasn’t Orry’s fault. She deserved his support and encouragement, after all that she had done for him. In fact, even as the thoughts of her Impressing her own dragon swirled through his mind, he opened his sparse wardrobe and stared. There wasn’t much that looked fancy- but… well, this white shirt wasn’t too shabby. Kito probably had so much more in the way of clothes and finery…

Come on.

Very well. Ussurianth’s true feelings lingered beneath a steady, cool mind, but Tosk knew his measure. Afterall, it had been just over a Turn now since they had first met… there were no secrets in the shadows of their mind. Ussurianth was there to learn of the new dragons, and to watch his own clutchmates from a lofty perch...

As they flew over the Stands, Tosk spotted his aunt Ada, and dropped down to join her. Find somewhere comfortable. It wasn’t necessary, but gratitude was laced in those words.

Khamaith, Turoth, Baihath: congratulations on your clutch. A fine one, with many more to come. Ussurianth tucked himself neatly tail resting across his paws as he regarded the already-born dragonets with growing curiosity. One of the bronzes was spirited, but the other did not look interested in the candidates at all. The blue was eager- no doubt a good flier in the making… and the brown was a curious sort. It would take more time to figure this one out.

“Aunt Ada…” Tosk began, dropping into the seat beside her. He never really knew what to say- ever… but to the aunt he had thought lost for so long, words came even harder. “Doing okay?” He cast his eyes to the sands and saw Orryxa’s distinctive demeanour amongst the white-clad candidates… Wait? Was she surrounded by men?

As long as they kept her safe, he supposed. His arms moved to cross before his chest, assuming his old guard’s pose.

Sablie (Western, She/Her)

Sablie had been enjoying her lunch, having been enjoying all the chatter that had been going on around her, when the sound of humming had been felt. She accidentally bit her tongue in her surprise, but she didn't let that deter her, as she had sprang to her feet to hurry to the candidate barracks. She quickly changed into her robes and sandals, her hair already done up in its messy braid. Then with the others, she had made it to where their candidatemaster awaited, with the usual warnings. She hadn't seen but one of the Western hatchings (and had just missed the one on the beach), but she knew A'ral had gone over these rules plenty in lessons. She could only assume those before had done each of those things, if they needed to be reminded. She was glad for the reminder though, it made it easier for her to keep it stuck in her brain.

Once they were allowed to, she bowed before Khamaith and her two mates, before looking around for a place to stand. She noticed a familiar face and she went to slap him on the back, good naturedly. Of course, she didn't have time to do anything else, as Teal Glow egg seemed to spring to life. She cheered, seemed someone was definitely ready to break their shell. It seemed it would not be alone with its rocking, as Butterfly egg went for a more measured rocking and Yellow Swirl egg went for a twirl and flop. Now, which would break free first, she was eager to see. It seemed she wouldn't have long to wait as a very uninterested looking bronze came out of Butterfly. Hmm, was it possible his rider was not among the male candidates, she mused. She knew from before that dragons could pick their's from the stand, maybe he hadn't felt his up there yet, or among the candidates for that matter.

As she continued to watch, Pink striped egg began to roll next, but nothing yet from that one. However, teal glow egg decided to go for a roll and she had to laugh a little at that. She did worry a little as it rolled into candidates, but they all seemed fine. Though having tumbled enough herself, she wondered if the dragnet inside that egg might be dizzy. While that was going on, she noticed a brown had come out of yellow swirl and it was precious. She gave it a greeting, glad that it seemed to be having a much better day today. And seemed teal glow continued their adventure, a blue leg popping out and causing it to trip. Opps, hopefully the baby was okay as it went smack dab into green tribal egg. Out came a very angry bronze from the egg, she hoped both babies wouldn't get too hurt. After all, the baby blue didn't mean it, she was sure. It seemed the blue didn't even notice his brother's anger at all, as he trumpeted to all of them, causing a smile to come to her lips.

The smile got bigger as yellow swirl seemed to be greeting some of the other candidates. Though, it seemed his butterfly bronze brother looked interested in any of this. And it seemed green tribal was making his presence known, he wanted people to notice him. Though she knew he wasn't for her, she assured him mentally that people noticed him. She noticed out of the corner of her eye as gold striped and orange leopard spot began moving some.

"Seems odds are more in your favor, so far. Ever imagine yourself on any of those colors?"she asked Lyfrocier in a jovial tone. Sure, she could impress to blue or brown, but the bronzes were definitely not a dragon for a girl.

O’dyn [WW] - 41 - he/him/his - Weyrlingmaster Second of Bronze Ansheth

O’dyn is available for interaction if desired.

O’dyn was bathing Ansheth, who, for some reason, seemed more alert than usual. With Esurienth’s recent clutch and Khamaith’s heating on the sands, there wasn’t a dull moment to be had. He had had a few precious moments with Orry and Dennox, especially after the Touching, but otherwise he had relied on little gifts here and there to remind them that they were loved, now and always…

Things had gotten complicated. Where Ada was involved, things were always complicated. But even more so in recent times… there was absolutely no denying it. Feelings tangling with feelings, and conversations he wasn’t prepared to have.

He heaved a sigh.

It is not like you to be so preoccupied, especially when you have work to do. Now come- Khamaith is humming, I can hear it! He lifted his head, staring towards the grounds. O’dyn didn’t hesitate, despite his rolled up trousers being slight wet. He pulled on his socks and boots, vaulted his now-clean dragon, and joined the spectators in the sands.

The man searched for his children amongst the candidates, and breathed a sigh of relief when he found them well-protected by others. Let them know-

I will. Orryxa, Dennox… We both wish you luck today. And please stay safe. Nobody here will let you come to harm, but do not let your mind or senses be overwhelmed. He reached out to the two, wrapping them in reassuring warmth. Ansheth was extremely fond of the two, and entrusted their care to Khamaith. She would ensure her children would do no harm to the humans, surely…

The bronze found his beloved Myrrath amongst the dragons, and crooned a greeting. My dearest Lady, would you accept my company on this momentous occasion? He was ever the polite one, never presuming to barge in on any dragon’s personal space. Instead, he bowed his head in greeting, eyes swirling with affection and love.

O’dyn watched the antics of the dragons, hoping they would spare his children from unwary talons. It seemed, for now, that Orry and Den were safe, and for that he was grateful.

Ara | Western | she/her

A bronze hatching first was supposed to be a good sign, and Ara was correspondingly pleased. She instinctively looked at the male candidates gathered on the sands, wondering which of them would suit the gleaming dragonet, but he seemed disinterested. She supposed that would change. She hoped it would. Other candidates who had been at the Weyr longer told stories of dragonets who had found no one suitable and...no. She was not even going to entertain that thought today.

And look! The teal egg was causing havoc. That was unexpected. She imagined the baby dragon inside running for all it was worth, its little legs blurring in order to propel the egg like that. And then she wondered how it would breathe if it worked itself up too much. She knew that the eggshells were somewhat porous, in theory, but surely not enough to accommodate an exercising dragon?

A delighted grin pulled the corners of Ara's mouth wide at the exuberance of the yellow swirl egg's occupant. What a delightful brown! She had not had a chance to touch his egg at the last Touching, but she was pleased to see that he seemed to be in good spirits upon hatching. She was a little disappointed that the friendly brown did not make it to where she stood on the sands, but a flurry of movement from the teal egg caught her eye and she looked over just in time to see a bronze and blue entangled as they hatched, and the bronze seemed angry.

She'd winced at the bite the blue received, but he seemed unfazed, remarking on the awesomeness of the sands. That brought her smile back. Ara could definitely relate to that. This was her second hatching, but it was no less amazing to her than her first had been. It was hard to believe she was really here, and not just to clean up after everyone, but as a candidate! She noticed peripherally that the brown who seemed intent on greeting everyone was still at his task and made a mental note to try to keep track of him, just in case, which she promptly forgot as the furious bronze hissed and turned his attention to the candidates. She knew he wasn't for her, and she hoped he wouldn't take his ire out on her - or anyone else! - for not being the young man he sought.

Savindri - he/him

Things were going along just swimmingly to start, and Savindri was delighted by the rolling egg - what fun! A few Candidates might end up bruised, but nothing serious, and the egg - no, the blue! - was clearly enjoying itself, and he had to bite back a cheer when it caught some air. "Would you look at that?" he laughed. "That one's definitely ready to be out!"

"...ohhh, but that one's not." Nope. Green Tribal was decidedly not happy, and while Teal Glow had just been having fun, Savindri sympathized that getting slammed into was maybe not the ideal way to hatch for some dragons. Definitely not this bronze.

Nashwa - she/her

Nashwa huffed out a breath that might have been a laugh and leaned just slightly into the shoulder bump, a little less demonstrative than she might have been on another occasion. "Your buddy, hm? I suppose we're lucky it didn't roll this way, then."

Though she was curious to see Amahno's buddy would, ultimately, make its way over here. She'd not yet touched an egg that had really taken to her in any fashion, though she knew that didn't necessarily mean she wouldn't be chosen, just as Touching friendships didn't always give way to Impressions. Ah, but not everyone was pleased with Teal Glow's antics, and she flinched in sympathy for both parties when the Tribal Green bronze made his ire known.

"...yes, very fun," she answered dryly.

Elibrie - she/her

The first to hatch was Butterfly, and the bronze that emerged was no more interested in any of the Candidates than he had been at the Touching. He was beautiful though, and Elibrie couldn't help but admire him. Dragonets really were just gorgeous. She didn't have long to gaze, though, before Teal Glow went rolling through another group, and even though they weren't too near to the commotion, she tensed and pressed closer to her sister.

Right in the midst of the commotion, Yellow Swirl decided it was Time, and unlike Butterfly, the brown that emerged seemed delighted to be here. She smiled a little at that. But oh, that smile didn't last long, as Teal Glow plowed right into Green Tribal and very much upset his bronze brother. Oh, dear. She certainly couldn't and wouldn't blame him for being angry, but oh did it worry her. She nodded in answer to Juhvek and affirmed it with a quiet "Okay."

She most certainly did not want to be in the way of that or any bronze. Other eggs were moving, but it was hard to look at anything but him.

Aelyx - Western - She/Her

Rocking and moving like little dancers! Aelyx was enchanted by those gorgeous shells, even if her eyes kept glancing back to one that she'd met at the touching. At least til Butterfly split his shell to reveal...A very unimpressed little bronze. Goodness, he was precious. Then there was an egg bowling over some candidates. That got the woman to laugh softly, cupping her hand to her mouth. This clutch seemed...bubbly and excited. An energetic brown exploded from his shell, and then. Oh. Red eyes had her momentarily frightened as she watched one egg split another to reveal a bronze and blue. The blue was...at least unbothered, energetically enjoying the world, though that bronze seemed very agitated.

One of the bronze's red eyes were now attentive to the Candidates and Aelyx was...very nervous. Those reds could mean several different things, and while she would allow the Bronze whatever he did? She still...was hoping things might calm down. Stepping slowly towards the back of the other Candidates, she just kept her mismatched eyes open...

Isilje of White Brancath

The little White watched from her perch, tail curling around her as she watched the little ones. Perhaps Baihath would introduce her later. While she wasn't quite a fan of boys, she was enamored by children. They were lovely little creatures. Sweeping her wings to stretch, she communicated to Isilje what was happening as it happened, letting her know what she was missing. The Albino was smiling, her pale violets staring at the sands.
Knowing the colors from Brancath was handy, since her own eyes couldn't make out color so well through the tinted goggles. "I forget they're always so SMALL."

-----------------------------------------------------

Wren of Bronze Nimrath

Wren had made sure both he and Nim looked GLORIOUS the moment the hatching had started. While the bronze found his perch lazily away from anyone save perhaps his siblings, the young man was in the thick of things. Hatchings were so exciting, and Nim's felt like it'd been such a short time ago....

Dextelia-High Reaches-She/Her

The call to the sands had come and Dextelia had rushed to change just as the other candidates. She felt the usual nerves and excitement as she listened to the candidate masters, rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet needing to have some kind of outlet of energy. She knew her cousin, Dr'cul and blue Harneth were both watching and it gave her some calm.

Finding a place on the sands the young girl stood and waited like everyone else, watching the eggs as they began to wiggle back and forth slowly, one by one, before a couple of them hatched. A smile formed upon her lips as she watched all of them as they went about the sands, sending love and affection towards them.

Dr'cul and Blue Harneth

Dr'cul seated himself in the stands once more, though this time was to watch the hatching take place. His grey eyes found the form of his cousin out there on the sands already and he didn't take them from her, even as baby dragons began to hatch from their shells.

Harneth had found a spot to recline on, watching as his siblings children began to greet this world. It was quite an intriguing sight to behold and hard not to try and compare to their own hatch day in his mind. He did not speak to either Khamaith or Baihath except to send his love to them on this day. He would speak to all he wanted at the feast afterwards.

Huarwar and Green Miershoth

With drills finished the green pair had been returning to their weyr when the humming began. Huarwar had only just enough time to take off his helmet and riding goggle, placing them inside of the weyr before heading towards the sands.

It felt strange to the man that he was not rushing around with the other candidates, dressing in robes to go and stand upon the hot sands. It knew it probably shouldn't as he hadn't been a candidate for an entire turn and yet...

Into his thoughts came one that was akin to getting flicked on the nose. Huarwar jumped some as he found a spot in the stands to watch though his eyes did move towards the green form who was now seated to watch from a ledge above.

You are thinking about it all too much. Would you rather still be down there, waiting? They both knew the answer to that. Huarwar was happy Miershoth was his and had found him. No, the only reason he might have wanted to still be on those sands was because Aelyx stood there and he wasn't there to protect her if anything happened.

If a dragon could roll their eyes Miershoth would have at that moment. She had gotten very use to the fact that Aelyx was in their lives and honestly she was grateful to the woman for being there for Hers before she had even been shelled. Leaving Huarwar to his fretting for a moment the green turned her attention to the woman standing upon the sands. The mental touch to Aelyx would be reassuring. We are here for you. She could feel how the woman got nervous at the bronze dragon displaying red eyes. For the moment, and perhaps the first time, Miershoth decided to just let the reassuring touches be what Aelyx felt and not speak anything, for the moment.
