Iruka has that "scar" on his nose. Does anybody know why he has it? But it makes him even more hot!

I have always wondered that too. But I don't think that he got it from the Nine-Tailed Fox because in the flashbacks it shows him with the scar.

I don't really know either. But it's so good looking on him... Yes, I also always pictured him having some sort of unfortunate accident as a child. Poor, poor Iruka. Lucky for him that Kakashi's there to kiss his boo-boos. heart sweatdrop

If I've heard correctly, he was a big showoff, much like Naruto. He got the scar showing off or something like that.

I think he got it in the fight with the Nine-tailed fox. I think I remember seeing him being carried away with the scar on his face... and it looked fresh. His parents were killed by the fox, right? And he only showed off to fit in and hide his sorrow that his parents were dead... so... I'd say that he was hit with a piece of debre during the fight with the nine-tailed fox. *nods* He's sexy with it though. whee heart

Yes the nine-tailed fox being the reason for the scar is one of the most thought of.
I think he MAY have had it before when his parent's were alive and he just had an accident. Yet who knows... I just know it makes him look more Dolphin like...~ <3

I always thought it was an accident to. He did like to be the center of attention... maybe he tried balancing a kunai on his nose?

tsukiraven I always thought it was an accident to. He did like to be the center of attention... maybe he tried balancing a kunai on his nose? It's hard for me to imagine him trying to be in the center of attention but what can I say, I've seen the episodes... Anyway, hopefully they'll explain it in the anime / manga.
Or maybe every member of his family have / had that scar?

It could be a large birthmark... But scar sounds much better.

I honestly don't believ it came from the fox. In all of the little kid pictures you see of Iruka, it's there. Maybe it wasn't an accident of his fault, but an attempted attck from someone... *ponders* Or mabe he was being reckless, threw a sharp object, said object richocetted and hit him in the face. *shrug* It could've happened.
