The day had started off like any other leading a young male wolf deep into the forest. His thoughts resting quietly as scent over vision sensed the strong herbs he collected for those tedious unbearable headaches. This shortcoming, of course, bothered the wolf born of the name "Russet Vision". He never truly had a place to call home, abandoned as a youngling to live and thrive on his own. Still, he was a gentle soul that gained attention toward something more meaningful then he'd ever imagined.

Once the blindfold was removed, Russet sat very still knowing the drill quite well of his "trial" he must endure. Though he lived in solitary from a pack he'd met rogues that explained the proceedings of what "trials" actually were leaving him with that future knowledge of what he'd have to do to overcome being alone. Letting nature sing her song, Russet honed in on the wildlife letting his ears paint a picture of the singing birds and the breeze through the leaves as he settled comfortably onto his white spotted haunches. Occasionally, a single wolf would approach him querying his whereabouts. More followed in a suit asking more questions which he simply replied in silence. Sometimes, an ear would swivel catching a new sound as his nose wiggled picking up the scents all around him.

As hours passed other wolves would approach him with stronger queries, accusations even. His eyes made them wary as the dusk glinted off his peculiar purple orb. Some shouted he was different which made his tense a slight bit but, he fought to keep his promise of completing his "trial". As night finally settled in he moved into a lying position barely making a sound as a curious she-wolf brushed his ear then walked away.

That's when the headaches came.

Russet winced for the first time keeping a whimper in silence. When had he last drank water he wondered as it pounded mercilessly like a sharp stone on his skull? Now, this trial would become torture he just had to endure.

It seemed endless as the sensation rendered him virtually helpless dealing with shouting, teasing, otherwise curious souls trying to hinder him from his goal. Then the headache lifted leaving him dehydrated yet relived for the sun was rising slowly. Russet had beat his demon keeping a promise to himself he prevailed to finally be part of a pack.

That's when they came for him with water and his herbs to leave the demon rest for another day.

When his time arrived to be in the audience with the alpha, he stood with respect. his ears always pulled back as his tail lowered in submission, "I have come to you to offer my knowledge and services to those in need., be they wounds or other ailments, I can be of great help to you.", he spoke with a stable yet soft voice.

Russet at this moment was most intimidated to ask so boldly yet he knew deep in his heart he'd truly belong somewhere.
