「PERSONALITY」
Quieter and often mistaken as cold, he doesn't tend to talk much and spends most of his time alone. He loves his family, and dearly, but Below Zero is often lost in thought. It's not uncommon to find him staring out into the world beyond and snapping back to reality with a jolt when spoken to. Below Zero isn't the best at communicating, often only answering half of a question, although it isn't on purpose. He can catch himself, sometimes, but often when it's too late.
Despite all this he is incredibly caring and compassionate. Sure, he might do it awkwardly, but that's just who he is. He may be out of it a lot and bad with conversing at times, but Below Zero cares. He tries his best to be there for others and be open to offering what he can.
He's an incredibly curious sort who, if his leg would allow it, would travel around Kells in a heartbeat. He just can't, and it crushes him. He loves his pack and would never leave, but he wants to know what is past home. He also wants to know what other wolves are like and picks up random hobbies in hopes to understand others more.
His leg is a major pain for him, as he feels like it's an unwanted anchor. He can't do the things he wants to, and he can't fulfill that wanderlust. Not fully, really. He needs too many breaks and can't reliably cover any distance without needing to curl up for a time to recover. It's too dangerous, and he knows this, but sometimes one might catch him staring at the distance with blank eyes.
Below Zero is strangely superstitious. No one has gotten the story out of what made him this way, but something happened during his first spring. Something he keeps bottled up. It's led him to be incredibly cautious and sometimes annoyingly so. Don't step on a crack! He might just spiral.

「BIOGRAPHY」

Below Zero never felt lacking of love. His parents were experienced with child rearing and loved him greatly. He didn't want for much, either. His pack welcomed him warmly and Below Zero should have been perfectly content.
Except, he wasn't.
It wasn't any fault of his parents. They were great and so was the rest of his home and family. He just wanted more. He wanted to see what was beyond, and as a puppy he struggled to stay right where he belonged. He waited restlessly for the first Spring, where his pack released young wolves to live on their own and then return home stronger. It'd let him the freedom he wanted, and he was eager.

His first Spring came without wait and he ran into the trial with vigor. Excitement ran through him, and it blinded him. He was able to see, hear, and taste a world outside his home and he was elated. This, unfortunately, led him to take a nasty tumble almost immediately; falling right off a steep ledge and injuring one of his legs brutally. Stubborn as he was young, Below Zero refused to return home for help. It'd be disappointing, wouldn't it? This was a test, and he didn't want to fail.
So, instead, he limped around on a broken and bleeding leg. During the first few nights he fought the pain resiliently, as he believed he should. The smell of blood, however, alerted a local hungry bear. Cornered by the large creature, Below Zero would have lost his life if he hadn't lost his footing and slid down the hill with reckless abandon. Injured further, Below Zero lost all hope for his leg. It was mangled, and he was sure he'd lose it.
Yet he stayed stubborn.
When it came time to return his leg hadn't healed fully, which perhaps was a good thing. It gave his pack a chance to intervene and do what they could to ensure he could still walk on it, although his own stubborn nature had ruined the chance to fully repair it. If he had come home sooner he could have gotten the help he needed, but Below Zero had ruined that.
He was an idiot for it, and would regret it forever.
His dreams of exploring felt ruined. His leg needed time to recover and he struggled to use it. It took time to learn how to properly walk, and even then he needed plenty of breaks. He felt anchored, and it felt like he was drowning. He had wanted to do so much, and now it felt pointless.
Yet a part of him wanted to travel anyway. To risk it all. It lingers on his mind constantly as he wanders the pack, eyes drifting to the horizon throughout the day. Maybe...
