「PERSONALITY」

A wolf who keeps many things to herself, Forbidden Oath is a type of wolf who knows plenty about others but most don't know anything about her. She doesn't talk about her story and she doesn't often request attention. It's easy to feel like you're close to her and still not hear a whisper of her past or true self. She is a protector, comforter, and giver, often focusing on those around her who need kindness and warmth. As a result she usually lives her life for others, which doesn't give her much time to dwell on her own life. She likes it that way. Offering herself to better the world was always something she believed in, and she doesn't mind if she is never asked about herself or her past.

As a result, it's not uncommon for Forbidden to slip in and out of a wolves life. She is there when someone needs a kind wolf beside them and then she quietly vanishes when she is no longer of us. She often isn't even noticed when she travels or even moves around the pack, as Forbidden Oath walks as quietly as she exists. She can startle unsuspecting wolves easily if she chooses to reveal herself before someone. Her presence is as unassuming as she is.

She is not used to being the center of attention. While she has always played a supportive role in lives, she has never been the focus. She was never the main character and thus feels most comfortable being a companion. When focus is directed on her she is prone to try and slide the attention elsewhere. She genuinely does not find herself interesting or worth the time, generally.

Forbidden Oath can be stern when it comes to the health and recovery of those she loves. You will eat healthy, you will dress your wounds, and you will be kind to yourself. If you can't then she will do it for you. She will linger by the sick and injured sides, providing them excellent care while insisting they also ensure their good health.

Secretly, she is incredibly afraid of failing those around her. Perhaps that's why she is so supportive; to ensure they're safe and she's providing something. She puts a lot of responsibility on herself to abandon her needs and focus on those around her. This can result in her overworking herself to the bone, and sometimes forgetting to eat for days. She is self-sacrificing to the point it is a flaw; she would die if it meant anything to the people she cared for. She needs to learn self worth, but it seems she never will on her own.

「BIOGRAPHY」

█ || Puppy ⋯
Born to two parents who were deeply in-love, she wasn't too bothered being an only child. While it sure disappointed her mother, who wanted a massive family, Forbidden Oath enjoyed the peace and quiet within her den growing up. Her mother was a Seer and gave the name Forbidden Oath after seeing a particular vision about her daughter. Forbidden never asked what exactly the vision was, but her mother often looked at her child with sadness.

As a puppy she was always fascinated with the Alpha of her pack at the time; Of Silver. He was far older than her and carried himself with both a limp and emptiness she never understood. She had been told of the death of many, which she assumed had hollowed him as a wolf, but despite the attempts of his back he never once welcomed them. He was Alpha only in name, and she watched him with a broken heart. What started as her wishing she could help him turned into a fascination her mother pleaded to stop. "Stay away from his type -- they'll break your heart," she told Forbidden Oath, but of course Forbidden didn't listen.

She was madly in-love with Of Silver as an adult and spent most of her time trying to help him. As time went on he grew more and more empty, eyes often distant in some way. Her parents died around the same time and Forbidden Oath allowed her love for Of Silver be what consoled her. When it came time for him to find a mate to have an heir with he selected someone he had grown up with, breaking Forbidden Oath's heart. She watched nervously as the selected female, Between Good, gave birth to a massive pup. Between Good died shortly after, as she was incredibly old and the strain had just been too much. The child, Big Bad, was thrown upon a Caretaker, and Of Silver began to go senile.

Forbidden Oath witnessed the man she loved disintegrate. Of Silver became a husk of a wolf and his son was tossed Caretaker to Caretaker as the child rebelled against the pack. The pack tried to force Big Bad to begin Alpha training as a puppy, stripping him of his childhood. Without anyone to intervene the pup quickly resented the pack and lashed out at anyone who came close to him.

Torn, Forbidden had struggled with her feelings for the pup. While she had wished to be the one Of Silver had chosen, she hadn't been. Big Bad also look intensely like his mother, lacking any resemblance to the wolf she wished would return. However, watching the pup and their inability to enjoy life forced her into action. She offered to become their Caretaker and even stated she'd help them leave if that was what they desired. Startled, the pup didn't trust her immediately, but Forbidden Oath not only earned his trust but discovered a wealth of love she could give him that she hadn't known was possible.

She had never considered the possibility of being a mother, but as the pup blossomed under her care and looked up to her as a parent she welcomed the role. She became his mother with a proud heart. Of Silver died shortly after and while it hurt she realized the love she felt for her adoptive son was greater. She still grieved alongside Big Bad for quite some time.

Big Bad grew into a fine Alpha and Forbidden Oath settled back into her duties. Big Bad located two puppies with her and, just as she had adopted him he adopted the puppies. Proud of her son and now grandchildren, Forbidden Oath couldn't believe the luck she had to have such a large and beautiful family.

One of her grandchildren was a Seer named Red Riding Hood. Late in the night she had a vision related to an outside stumbling onto their territory. The next night Forbidden Oath took off to see if said wolf could be found despite the raging thunderstorm. Fate brought her to a cave where an injured and abrasive wolf remained. Named Strife, he fought every attempt for her to assist him. He only caved when Forbidden Oath swore he could leave the moment he wished. Once the storm cleared she brought the wolf to the pack for care.

During this time she fought continuously with Big Bad, who disliked Strife the moment he saw him. Convincing him to allow the dark wolf refuge was a battle onto itself, and unfortunately the moment she got him to finally agree fully she returned to the sick dens to find Strife gone. Not fully healed, Strife had left without a goodbye, leaving a strange feeling inside Forbidden Oath's chest.

Time went on and Forbidden Oath eventually approached Big Bad, stating the pack needed an heir. What she didn't expect was him to fall into a deep guilt ridden depression when his first litter came out as two daughters. Feeling like he was behaving much like his father, Big Bad began to withdraw from Forbidden Oath as he handled his feelings behind his newest children.

Strife ended up returning to the pack with his sister in tow. While Forbidden Oath was, honestly, happy to see his return, she also felt a bitterness he had left in the first place. It didn't make sense -- they had not shared a single intimate moment and yet Oath felt her heart sink heavy. In an attempt to sort out her irrational feelings she kept her distance from Strife.

She loves her son dearly, although she often is also his voice of reason. He often leaps before thinking and she worries for what may come if he leaps into danger. She is continuously proud of his efforts to help the pack thrive once more. She often claims she has no idea where his size came from, as his father was large but not a behemoth like Big Bad seems to be.

Her adopted granddaughter. Red is often worrying Forbidden Oath, as she denies her Seer abilities and seems to suffer from the visions she receives. Forbidden wishes there was something she could do, but she never really understood her own mother and their abilities either.

Alpha of the Iron Hides and friend, he is often spooked by how quietly Forbidden Oath moves. She never once intentionally tried to startle him, but it seems to be the nature of their friendship. She hopes he'll learn to detect her in time, as she has tried to step harder and even that hasn't worked.

It is there she meets the wounded and frankly miserable Strife, who she brings back home to tend to his severely injured leg. While the company is faintly aggressive and littered with rudeness, Oath sees the injured wolf and his potential.
