When Takumi turned, Taylor's weapon lowered. This man wasn't planning to fight. This made it easier to escape. As he left through the window, the thunderbird followed behind. Another ball of lightning was fired at him, but this one the boy was ready as he spun in the air and sliced the bolt in half. As Taylor jumped off a nearby tree, he threw his sword at the bird. Horus dodged in the air, and the two engaged in vicious combat.

__ Kagami nodded to the blond in the blue robe when he responded. She then watched the other blond male who seemed deeply disturbed. She arched an eyebrow inquisitively before turning to Takumi. "Is that right? I'd love some private tutoring." She coquettishly pursed her lips momentarily after the flirtatious remark. This man seemed to be the one in charge of this entire institution and certainly seemed to be the one she needed to advance her skills. "It seems like your other student isn't taking to this well." She barbed the man in a teasing fashion as she awaited his response.

The blonde male stared blankly at the woman's tone and pursed lips. His gaze seemed...bored. But that was normal. Very little was able to startle him or move his mentality. He would simply turn and wave his hand to follow him. " Come along then. Let's go to the Battle Arena in the back."
The leader, adorned in a white kimono top with the snow flake emblem on it's back lead the young woman into the back of the hallway and out a double door into a pokemon stadium type arena....or gym track with a field in the middle. Take your pick. " Right then. So. Miss.... "His voice trailed off, stare continuing to dully stare her down, awaiting her to answer with her given name. He wondered what she was capable of. If she knew anything.

Both bird and man were exhausted throughout their fight. Countless fallen trees and discarded swords littered the battlefield the two created. Taylor panted heavily. All of his body ached from the fight. Horus has also reached his breaking point. Electric chakra coiled around him, however, as he readied himself for another strike. "Why do you keep fighting?" Taylor asked the bird. His armor dissolved and the shirtless boy forced himself to stand up straight. "Why are you still here? How could I possibly be this important to you?" Horus paused as he looked at Taylor. The bird then appeared suddenly in front of him, and his massive wings enfolded the boy. Taylor's eyes widened as he was embraced by the hug. Scattered memories came to his forefront as he recalled the blistering desert that he was shielded from when a kind avian friend took mercy upon him.
"Horus." Taylor said weakly. He then proceeded to cry onto the bird's chest. How could he forget Horus? This bird was his first friend. He was there for Taylor when he... He stopped crying as he came to a horrifying thought. He couldn't recall where he fled from, or why he did so. There was so many gaps within his memory. What happened to him? The name Taylor Childe came into his mind, which he took as his own name. At least he had the beginning of an idea. "Horus. Do you trust that man?" Taylor asked his bird as he wiped his tears with his arm. Horus backed away from Taylor as he nodded. Taylor sighed and recognized that, until more memories returned, it was better to stay with Takumi and whoever that girl was. It was for that reason Taylor and Horus returned to the training ground where Takumi led Kagami to. The boy and his bird watched from the outskirts as they awaited to be noticed.

__ She followed him to the battle arena courtyard area. This was certainly impressive, it had been five years since she had been in a training facility at all, much less of this caliber. Her purple dress billowed behind her in the wind. She stood next to him and spoke up when he trailed off. "Kagami Hari." She gave her name with a grin before glancing at Taylor. "What a cute boy, it's a shame that he's crazy." She thought dismissively as he waited for Takumi's further instructions.

Takumi stood before the azure haired beauty, receiving her name, finally. Takumi would open his mouth to speak and then notice the boy and the large bird positioned to his right. He stopped, seeing that Kagami had taken note of Taylor as well. " Right. Taylor, was it? Feeling a little more yourself?" He asked. " Good." he said, leaving no gap for an answer in his speech. He would point to the building itself, preparing for a moment of learning. " Before we do....anything you should know the story behind this facility." His arms folded, nodding to himself as he reflected. " This building was the constructed by the combined effort of five shinobi, to include myself. Established after our group. Kogarashi. Moved in and killed the President of the United Hidden Villages. Horace Krasher." He paused, allowing this information to sink in, not sure if it held value to them. " The facility is intended to offer upcoming ninja who like us, did not ally with a village. Those who sought unconventional methods of their own ambitions. I will take you both in. Show you any skills you need. Skills you've lost. Attain power. Find peace. I only ask you pledge to Kogarashi."
He glanced between the two, knowing he offered them both something they desired. His promises were ambitious, but within his grasp. He needed strong allies in order to move the world's power axis once more.

Taylor was fairly certain at this point that he didn't like Takumi. The man seemed so arrogant. Still, however, Taylor had to trust Horus' judgment. As the man explained Kogarashi's purpose, he felt stunned at the word rogue being used to describe him. Was Taylor a rogue? He didn't know if he had any village affinities, but at this point what difference could it have made? Even if he did, he wouldn't have any memories of them. Takumi asked for both he and Kaguya to pledge to him, and he wasn't sure if he was ready to. There was something about the man which made him feel as though he had more cynical goals. Still, it wasn't like he had anywhere else to go. The man did save his life, so he might as well do his best to return the favor. "Agreed." He said with his arms cross. It was as he held his unclothed arms that he realized that he was still chilled. He could really use a shirt. "Excuse me." He said as he went into the building. One of the guards didn't have any blood on his shirt, so Taylor took it as well as the guard's under shirt and used them to cover himself. He felt surprisingly no guilt or remorse for the dead in his vision. He felt like he had killed before. Who was he? He couldn't get a clear answer, so he did his best to ignore the question as he returned outside.

__ Kagami listened to the history lesson and felt a pang in her stomach at the mention of the UHV. So these Kogarashi people claim to have killed their president. If that was true then she would be ecstatic at the prospect of joining them. The battles between Kirigakure and the UHV were what killed her parents and she would never forget that. He went on to offer her all that she was seeking. She desperately needed to get stronger and become a powerful force in this world. She spoke immediately after he finished without hesitation. "Done." There was an ax-like decisiveness in her candor. "So are you going to tell us your name, handsome?" She bit her bottom lip after she asked the question. She then glanced back at the other blondie with his bird who seemed incredibly uneasy which alarmed her. She then stared back at Takumi and analyzed him. "He must be desperate for new members of this Kogarashi if he's asking us straight out like that. If this arrangement doesn't work in my favor I'll probably just have to take what I need and run." The enchantress ruminated on the possibilities some more. "I have nothing to lose and I have a feeling that this could be...interesting." Smoldering golden eyes fixated pensively on the Kogarashi leader. She needed to figure him out sooner rather than later.

Takumi could see the hesitation in Taylor's eyes, his doubt. This was to be expected. He would lower his head slowly, returning it upward in a nod. Just after his agreeance he would step inside. Takumi could see the frost clinging to his clothes from their spat. Most likely that was his goal.
Next was Kaguya. Before Takumi could so much as judge her reaction she had agreed without question. That was again, expected. Her entry, barging into the fight just to ask about learning techniques. The clear indicator to her motivation. Her reaction to the history would please Takumi. She had a negative bodily reaction to the UHV's name. She was most likely harmed by their exploits. " Oh. Of course. My name is Takumi Saegahara, former ninja of Kirigakure."
Taylor had returned at this point, adorned in their guard's clothing. Takumi, without speaking would bring his index and middle finger from both hands together in a cross. Upon this action an identical copy of himself would be made, each facing one of the new members. The one facing Kagami spoke. " You and I shall begin your training in the ninja arts. I'm going to assume you're a beginner, so we will start with the basics." The copy of Takumi that faced Taylor would speak next. " You and I shall begin exploring any latent abilities. It's clear you have repressed your mind, but the muscle memory still reamins. Let us civilize the mind now and savage the body later. It will come with training." With that, the two Takumi would split as Taylor's trainer entered the building, motioning to Taylor and Horace to follow them inside to the Library.
Takumi turned to face Kagami, still in the courtyard. " Now. Do you know your chakra affinity?"Takumi reached into his pocket and drew out a piece of rectangular paper. Handing it to the woman, he spoke again. " Depending on how the paper reacts, indicates your primary affinity. Focus chakra into this and concentrate."
The Takumi with Taylor and Horace would stop, turning to the duo. " I assume that your companion knows more of you than you do. Browse the library with him, follow his lead and discover anything you can of your abilities of your history. Fighting without a sense of self is dangerous." At this point, Takumi too would begin to search the shelves for clues to Horace and Taylor. Perhaps there was a book with some useful text.

Taylor and Horus followed Takumi into the building. The library was grand with countless books. A good deal of them appeared ancient, so there was no doubt that Taylor could learn something here. He did not hesitate to open one and start to read. However, as he did so, he felt himself struggle at the words. He could comprehend them with enough time, but a good deal of these words were too long and didn't make much sense to him. It angered him. Was he not intelligent? As he got to the fourth book and realized he had little to no idea what the content was about, he threw it in anguish along the floor. It was as he did so, however, that a memory returned to him. He recalled that he did not learn to read until he was much older, around ten or so. He recalled that he learned how to read in an area with a lot of sand. The place started to materialize in his mind as it merged with several memories of Horus.
"Sunagakure." He said aloud. The memory made him smile. Yes, he was a Sunagakure ninja. He recalled graduating from the academy and making friends with.... He frowned. Another gap in his memory. The boy turned to Horus. "Horus. Do you know the names of the people I knew before this?" He asked. Horus nodded, but as the bird squawked, Taylor had no ability to understand him. Whatever damage occurred to him locked away his ability to understand his thunderbird friend. Taylor lowered his head. Another dead end. It might not be, however.
"Takumi, do you know the way to Sunagakure?" Taylor asked the clone. Or maybe it was the original. He was not sure which one was which. "I feel like I could gather more of my memories if I went back there. Or at least find someone who knew me." He admitted. In truth, he wasn't sure what was triggering these random memories to return to him. Horus' embrace made sense, but the book triggering his memory of his home village? A thought came to his mind. He patted himself down and then shock came to his face. "Where's my headband?" He asked. What happened?

__"Takumi Saegahara and he's from Kirigakure as well." She thought, but would keep her home village a secret for now. She waited for Takumi's clone to approach her and commence training. When he held out the piece of paper she concentrated chakra to her fingers but when she grabbed the page it became immediately drenched in water. For some reason, a strong preference for the water element existed within her and surged out with power and a lack of precise control. She concentrated harder for a few moments as the corners began to turn to cinders indicating a secondary fire affinity. Finally, earthen soil began to cover the center of the page as her final affinity. The page then disintegrated from the three elements interacting and destroying it. She looked back up to Takumi from the page and responded. "Looks like it's water, fire, and earth." This was a start at least.

The blonde mentor would pour over books of the Kaguya bloodline. His interest was closer to his abilities than to his mental retention at this moment. While being of sound mind would make him more useful, he had to know what weapon he was attempting to wield. The boy would whisper a single word. " Sunagakure." Takumi gritted his teeth. Even he could appreciate the irony and tragedy in this boy. " Taylor... Sunagakure fell during the battle with the UHV five years ago. The survivors reside in Uzushiogakure from what I hear." He paused, awaiting the boy's reaction.
Meanwhile, in the training fields, Kagami would reveal not only a primary element. Additionally, a secondary and tertiary elemental affinity. His right eyebrow genuinely raised. " A greenhorn with three elements at their disposal. Impressive. Most impressive." He said slyly. He grinned, excited to begin the training of the girl.
"Let us begin then with this. " he said, holding his hand outward, fingertips extended outward. He would hold a single hand sign with his other hand. Water would begin to condensate around from the air around his extended hand. The water swirled in response to his chakra, creating no more than a gallon of liquid. He would then swipe his hand to the side. " Focus your chakra into your hand, use the feeling that poured out as you soaked the tag."

Silence covered Taylor like a cold blanket. Sunagakure has fallen. His village, for what little he remembered of it, was destroyed. In his heart he knew that his memories of the place were limited, so he couldnβt be as upset about the ordeal as his soul wanted to be. However, that did not cause himself from shedding a few tears. βIβm sorry.β He said as he wiped away his tears. Now was not the time for grieving. Resolved eyes locked upon Takumi. βThank you for eliminating those UHV monsters.β He said with conviction. He felt sadistic glee that the president of this organization died by the group he was now a part of. As he calmed down, however, he recalled the other pieces which Takumi explained about Suna. βIf other Suna ninjas retreated to Uzushiogakure l, then I will need to go there myself. I hope you can help me get there.β He said earnestly.

__ Kagami grinned at Takumi's surprised expression from her elemental aptitude. She then held her hand out and began concentrating her chakra into the center of her hand. She felt it begin to manifest as two whips of cascading water that intertwined in a serpentine fashion. She had to focus very heavily to finesse and gain control over her overwhelming potential for the water element. "Like this?" Kagami asked when she felt as though she mastered the basic technique.

Kagami walked away from Takumi for a moment to gather genjutsu, suiton, maruton, katon, and doton scrolls from the library.
Kagami knew that she had the ability to create glass using her fire and earth natures. Every Hari seemed capable of doing that, but she also inherited her maternal Kurosawa family's proficiency in water. She had been able to create mirrors before, but now she would use her clan's scroll to learn more advanced abilities. She molded her fire and earth natures together to create on six-foot-tall ornate mirror in front of her for training purposes. She touched the mirror and focused hard on channeling reflective and refractive chakra into it.
LEARNED: Terikaesu (Reflect) and Ripakuto (Refract)
She touched her tall created mirror once more and focused more chakra into it. The mirror then became two-way and visible on both sides from her perspective. She then began channeling ninjutsu chakra through it and found that it strengthened the chakra. Next, she focused her chakra on moving the mirror from in front of her to behind her and in front of her again with a hand sign.

Now she would allow her mirror to shatter and would focus on learning how to do more glass creations. She formed some hand signs and molded her glass creating chakra. Once she finished focusing a glass clone appeared next to her. Once that was done, she shattered the clone and used the shattered glass on the ground to blast a few projectiles out into some targets.

She created another tall ornate practice mirror in front of her. This time the design was even more elegant than previously. She placed a hand on the back of the levitating mirror as she read through the genjutsu scroll. She practiced the handsigns and found that for some reason she was able to use the mirror as a conduit for the illusion. "What's this? No one in my clan do that, I think." She thought inquisitively as she practiced three of the illusions through it and could feel them emanating off of the mirror's reflective surface.

Apparently, Kagami was capable of enchanting her own mirrors with illusions. Maybe this was a special skill of hers, no, she was certain that must be the case. She performed more hand signs and focused the genjutsu chakra into her mirror as a casting conduit. The mirrors were now terrifyingly capable of casting the new rounds of genjutsu.

Kagami felt confident in her genjutsu skills. This was a style of combat that she seemed particularly adept at. She was always fascinated by genjutsu as a subject at the academy, although she only practiced basic cantrips. She performed more hand signs and focused her chakra through the mirror. She knew that he mirror had become enchanted for she could feel it.

She wondered, perhaps she could create illusions of her own through the mirror. She was understanding the concepts of genjutsu far more quickly than she expected. Kagami performed a handsign and theorized on a genjutsu that she could use specifically through her mirror. Once she had an image in her head of what the genjutsu would do she began forming hand signs.
Now that she saw the cantrip in her mind's eye she began focusing the genjutsu chakra into her mirror. She focused hard to enchant the mirror with the new hypnosis of her own creation. The chakra then began to apply itself to the mirror. Now she was certain that this new illusion creation would work through the mirror without fail. She knew that somehow the mirror was making it easier for her to perform genjutsu.
Maybe she could create another genjutsu, maybe even a special enchantment through the enchanted mirror. She had an idea of a particular enchantment genjutsu and began to formulate the concept in her imagination. She thought hard and was inspired to create a genjutsu capable of showing the victim what they most want in life. She would call this new mirror genjutsu Evermore.
Now she had to focus on controlling the chakra involved. She practiced the hand signs and applied the chakra to her mirror. The mirror began to have the genjutsu applied to it. It was not long before the mirror became enchanted.

Now she would look at her ninjutsu scrolls. Katon and Doton were two elements she had access to for glass but did not want to dive into too deeply just yet. She read the technique descriptions for two very basic techniques of each element. She practiced the hand signs and molded the chakra of those elements. In no time she was able to burrow underground and gained slight resistance to fire.

Now she would look at the non-elemental ninjutsu techniques that she wished to learn. She practiced the hand signs and chakra molding before trying to make herself appear and disappear in a body flicker. She also wanted to learn how to korabo her techniques together. In no time she managed to master those jutsu.

She formed several hand signs as she read the katon scroll some more and wanted to learn how to create a fireball. She molded her chakra through her mouth to be able to form it. She breathed out and was able to create swirling flame. It was not long before she could create a perfect sphere of fire.

She read from the style scroll and found the perfect one for her fighting style, mirror images. She practiced sidestepping and eventually managed to manifest an after image. Kagami then grabbed her trident from her back and created multiple after images out of a single strike. She practiced these techniques multiple times until perfection.

Kagami then performed a slashing move with her trident and manifested her chakra as a mirror image performing the same strike in a different direction. She had to perform the technique again before fulling getting the hang of it. She then practiced creating another mirror image in front of her stabbing forward with the trident. She tried the attack again and fully mastered it.

She then wanted to practice the multistrike move. She thrust her trident forward and created another image of herself behind it. After that, she did the delayed strike. She practiced one more time and created more after images.

Kagami then produced more after images of her arms. She focused her chakra intensely in order to maintain the arms. The extra arms levitated above her and she slowly started moving them. All four of the arms then thrashed in all directions with mastery.

Kagami then practiced improving her speed and dodging capabilities. She ran around and picked up speed and used her agility. After that she thrust and slashed in multiple directions with her trident. She felt her physical capabilities greatly improve. She then mounted the trident on her back once more.

Takumi allowed the woman to train on her own as she practiced the techniques she was capable of learning from the library texts that weren't damaged. Meanwhile, Takumi's clone who was with Taylor would get the request to move to Uzushiogakure. " I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Travel might be good for the group. Meet me in the court yard with Kagami."
