Masato's eyes widened as he recognized that Taylor's blade would break through his Full Metal Jacket gloves with ease. ' Surprising.' He thought as his eyes began to track motion faster once again. Taylor's arm would telegraph to Masato the action about to be formed with his left hand, causing Masato to react with haste. Once again an afterimage of Masato would linger as it was impaled with the bone stake.
Whilst Taylor would be distracted by the after image for a moment, Masato had drawn a single hand seal with his left hand while holding his right hand outward towards Taylor, then clenching his fist. In an instant a chakra based arm would manifest from what seemed like nothing. It's surface spiraled with black and red chakra as though it were charred flesh while it's texture appeared almost armored. The hand belonging to the arm would grasp Taylor in the same instance it was created and crush inward as though crushing walnuts in one's hand. Additionally, due to the arm's length, Taylor was pushed back approximately twenty feet before being slammed downward to earth.

Lilah listened to him as she thought she might be safe and he wouldn't question it. It seemed as though that was not the plan and he, in fact, was going to test her. She watched Kairi closely as he knocked a dummy off the ground into the air with an uppercut. He would then roundhouse kick it across the room. Then he expected her to do the same or in her case not. He had explained it and given her an example. She knew she didn't normally roundhouse kick that well but she had to get a really good one now. If he found out she was lying then she wouldn't hear the end of it. She had to nail this on her first try. "Well I haven't done this before but I'm sure I'll do great. I'll show you what happens when you doubt me." All she had to do was copy him to the exact tee and she would be able to do it.
Lilah stepped up into position and took a deep breath trying to focus. She tried to simply copy his stance but she didn't think that was going to help her much. She went forward and performed an uppercut like she had seen Kairi do it. She at least performed that correctly and managed to get the dummy into the air. Next, she performed the roundhouse kick like she had seen it. She tried to tighten her muscles like Kairi had but she had no clue if she had got it right. She kicked the Dummy with all the strength she could muster and hope for the best, not even caring if she would injure her leg. Well only because she knew there was no way her bones would be hurt. She purposely didn't look to see how far it went or if it went far at all. The last thing she saw was her leg connecting with the dummy. "Well. How was it?" She asked her eyes still closed.
The fact that she had not given him any sass within the course of the last five minutes actually made him hopeful that he might actually be able to pull this off. Though he could tell, by the fact she was sweating already, that she wasn't built nearly as much as him when it came to physical endurance. Hell his heart rate wasn't even elevated yet. However he could not help but crack a smile. A kick like that, while decently imitated, wasn't close to perfect as she claimed if she actually knew the principles of body mechanics. Yet for some reason he did not call her out on it. Not quite yet anyway. Her kick was decent overall but it wasn't nearly as refined as he would have liked it. Causing the dummy to skitter to a halt two feet or so from where it was previously.
Making his way across the dojo he picked up the dummy he sent flying in one arm and on the way back scooped up hers as well in the other. Setting them down he took a knee next to the two and began to check them over to make sure nothing had broken or worked loose. Before he rose to his feet however he let out a light sigh. When he spoke, his voice held no snark, no sarcasm. It rang with a soft tenor pitch."Its been some time since I saw someone who had so much talent and worked so hard to become better. Yet by their own actions sabotages themselves." As he spoke his head would drop,"I can't locate your flaws, help you fix them. Enhance your strengths, and compensate your weaknesses, if I don't know what they are. I cant fill the holes in your education if I you are not honest with me." Rising to his feet the combination of the way he carried himself and the way he was speaking would clearly indicate a different side of the man than what she met before. "Right now this isn't about who's strong and who's weak. Appearances or conceptions. Ego or pride. What matters is being able to give you the tools to gain the strength you seek. I will never judge nor mock someone for wanting to improve or get better. The fact that you've actually done well, and showed up in the first place speaks to that desire. So please, just be honest with me?"
He had no doubt she would probably rip into him verbally or call him a b***h or some other form of insult. But he was simply being honest. At his core this was what he was. Simple, honest and kind.

Taylor anticipated his attack being dodged with an after image. The blade from his palm retracted as he saw Masato move to his side and form a handseal. The boy blocked with his blade as an impossibly large arm reached out and Taylor was shoved back. Sparks flew off of his sword as the boy collided through several dojo walls and he used his other hand on the flat side of his blade to apply all of his force into the defense. When the technique faded Taylor was approximately twenty five feet away. Before Masato could even get a grasp of if the fight had ended, however, the chain of Taylor's chain scythe flew out of the rubble and dust clouds that formed from such a collision. It aimed to wrap around Masato's handseal arm as it snaked through the air. In Taylor's hand was the hilt of his chain scythe while his right hand reached into his shoulder and pulled out a new sword. His last one just got destroyed after all.

Masato's eyes would not miss the chain scythe's links as they were sent flying out towards him. ' He'll most likely try and use the chain as a conductor for an attack or simply bind me..' he thought as he allowed the chain to constrict the arm. He would smile as he felt Taylor's action becoming more and more familiar, even with the newly found powers. Masato would clench his free hand as it became encased in a roaring flame and would rapidly spread over his entire body. He appeared as a spirit of fire, covered head to toe. His wrapped hand would grasp the chain, ready to take whatever damage followed such an act. "NO ESCAPING" he shouted as he dashed forward, fist directed to impact Taylor directly. Behind him was a trail of flames that began to ignite the dojo. Even if he blocked with the blade, the fierce flame fist would blast though the weapon. The impact would create an explosive pyre that would not go unnoted by those around.

Taylor had Masato now. As the chain wrapped around Masato's arm, Taylor threw the weapon into the ground. It sunk into the earth as he then grabbed the sword with both hands. He was going to need it. When the collision occurred, the flames erupted into the area all around him. The scorching heat shredded Taylor's armor as the various pieces of the dojo fell around him. There was only dust as Masato would feel the chain around his arm tighten. "Funny, that's my line." Taylor said as the smoke cleared. His knees were bent and his body was lowered to the ground. All of his clothing was tattered and he had soot along his face. His left hand grabbed the chain and used his chain scythe mastery to keep Masato from moving any further. Combined with the fact that the blade was now buried in the earth, and Masato was not going to escape any time soon. In return for getting his one hit off, he sacrificed his ability to dodge. Taylor only needed to get him to this one moment. Now that he had it, the fight was over. "Surrender Masato. Or else I end this for you." He said as his left palm was aimed for Masato's gut. He knew that he wouldn't kill this man. However, he would severely harm him if he did not stop.

Lilah opened her eyes after he didn't say anything and saw where the dummy had gone. She had hit it maybe two feet and this made her angry. "Damn it, that was ******** pathetic." She sat down preparing for Kairi to call her out. Instead, though he started to speak with tenderness. Her eyes widened as he spoke and she couldn't move. Her mind was racing, she had to stop this now. At the very least if he was an a*****e they wouldn't get close if she was forced to be around him. But this, being nice she couldn't handle. She could not allow him to get close and hinder her drive. She wasn't even sure what she could do to stop him. She was basically screaming in her head to do something, anything really. She got up and basically screamed at him. "I have no education, no school, no training, nothing. There are you ******** happy. Not everyone got the privilege of such things." Yet despite that he continued to talk. What could she do, she needed him to continue to be indifferent or something.
Lilah took a deep breath as Kairi finished, if he didn't get turned off by her being a b***h then she would have to try a different approach. Her voice lowered so that Kairi would be forced to listen closely. "You want honesty, I'll give you honesty." She walked over to him and got quite close not enough to touch but enough to get in his face. As much as she could get in his face since he was a solid ten inches taller than her. "How about the fact that I hate you and not just you but every person in this entire village and the village itself. Everything that has gone wrong in my life was because of this village and the UHV. If I had it my way every single person here would be dead and the village torched. Whatever is left of the UHV too and the man named Shiro as well. There's your honesty virgin boy."
Lilah then would brace herself for what she assumed would be her getting punched. She had been only partially truthful. She did hate the village and the people in it but she didn't want them all dead. Really only one person did she actually want dead in the village and she was far from the top of the list. There was no way he could continue to be nice or calm around her now. Ninjas were especially protective of their villages and comments like that should make them angry. She was sure this would work and if it somehow didn't she wasn't sure what she could do. She was lonely and this was more interaction with another person then she had in years. If she couldn't make him hate her here and now she wouldn't be able to help herself from getting close to him. She feared to get close to someone more than anything. She was afraid that she would lose her drive and entire purpose if that happened. All she wanted him to do was punch her, anything, she just needed him to not be kind to her anymore.
AAAANDD there it was. There was the bitching, it was almost adorable how she snapped like that. However, Kairi was no normal man. He had patience, the patience of a saint. So her snapping was met with a simple,"Thank you. Now I can turn you into the fighter you want so desperately to become." Though when she went into her hate tyraid he simply knelt there on one knee as he listened. After all, thats what this girl needed. When she was finished he would let out a heavy sigh as he began. His voice carrying the same tender tone as before,"Kicking like that, your not ever going to have your way. Should you get to the point where you can make good on that hate, well, we will have to cross that bridge when we get to it. Because despite your words, I dont think your hate runs that deep. To kill innocent civilians, children, elderly. The ones who had nothing to do with what happened to you. If you hate me so be it. I can bear it, not the first time someone told me they hate me. If you hate the village so be it. If you hate shinobi and the UHV and Shiro so be it. But make sure its directed at those who deserve it. The children, the innocent, and the elderly do not. Thats all I ask."
Rising to his feet he waved,"Get your gear, were done for the day. With the sun going down they are going to close up soon." Making his way back to his armor he began the laborious process of donning it all. Once he was finished he returned to the woman,"Before you judge me, I want you to know something. I dont fight for San, for some Daimyo or some glorious cause. I only fight to protect the ones who cant protect themselves. The children, the innocent, and the elderly. Those with the ability to protect others, have the responsibility to do it." Returning to the wall he gathered his weapons and his tower shield before nodding,"Where are you going to go? Its getting dark out and the baths will be closed soon."
__ Kagami watched the fight unfold with "Horus" Horace the bird at her side. She looked down at the landed bird and tilted her head towards it curiously as if they were both trying to figure out the other's intentions. She then returned to watching the fight as it revved up in intensity. "So we traveled all this way to have Taylor get beat up. What's the point?" She was starting to get irritated and she was certainly not going to get in the middle of this for the sake of her own survival. "Men are so dumb." She started rubbing her forehead in the hopes that this fighting would end and they would be able to leave this damned village soon.

Lilah stared in amazement her eyes wide as Kairi didn't punch her and instead continued being kind. She didn't understand it, no man was like this. No one took this kind of abuse and stayed. Men were not this kind, no way. She had personal experience of what men were truly like. Was this all a trick or something, she couldn't understand it. Regardless she knew she couldn't fight it anymore. She almost started crying because she was so afraid of what would happen now. She fell down to her knees and sighed. "Your right, I couldn't kill children even if I wanted to. Once again virgin boy sees right through my lie. I don't understand you at all. You make no sense and defy all logic." He talked about getting her gear because the sun was going to go down.
Lilah got up and grabbed her stuff before realizing that he said the sun was going down. She then realized she didn't have a lot of time to get to the baths and find a safe spot for the night. In fact, she really didn't have enough time at all. "s**t, what the ******** am I'm going to do now. I don't have enough time to even find a safe spot for the night." She then waited for Kairi to come back. He would have to put her up for the night despite the fact she didn't want to. She didn't have any choice she was not going to sleep in an unsafe spot and wake up to something being done to her. That was the worst possible thing and a legitimate concern. He came back and spoke some more about what he fought for. Then he mentioned it getting dark and the baths closing. "No one is like that, people only fight for themselves. People who fight for others just get trampled and killed and left to rot." Her parents fought for others and it, in the end, they had died and it did nothing.
Lilah then looked at him and spoke again this time about the situation tonight. "What you do have a responsibility for is me. You kept me here for so long I have no time to eat, get a bath and most of all find a safe spot for tonight. So you have to put me up for the night and that's final. You don't get a say in it, it's your damn fault I have to even do this." She turned her head away as if whatever he said didn't matter. Her hand on her hip as she waited for him to take her to his place. Her face did flush a bit red though. She couldn't help it though, she wasn't shy but her body just reacted to the thought of staying over at a man's place. It pissed her off if anything because she hated even feeling attracted to men. This was going to be a long night.
Well that wasn't the response he anticipated. Not in the slightest. Giving a soft chuckle,"I make perfect sense when you think like I do." Though when she started panicking about the sun going down he actually remembered she refused to take housing from the village. When she spoke of what happens to people who fought for others he shook his head simply,"If that is my fate, so be it. But I will never stand by and allow harm to come to those who have not earned it." However, her quick change of tone and conversation topic made him laugh. Now she had the gall to demand that he not only allow her to stay at his place, but for him to feed her. As his laugh subsided he turned and waved over his shoulder,"Whatever you say. But your pretty ballsy for someone who hasn't even introduced them self properly. Thats rude. Come on then if your coming." Under his breath he muttered,"Ya pain in my a**." With that he headed out of the dojo and towards the residential district.

Lilah shook her head at him when he called her ballsy. "It's your responsibility not mine. You kept me here for way too long and stopped me from being able to do the things I normally do. It's only fair if you now deal with the consequences." She said as she walked behind him following him out. She then heard his smart a** under his breath comment. "I don't have to tell you my name and I would prefer to keep it that way. The last thing I need is you saying my name. Your virginity might be contagious. I'd rather not catch it." She said in a sarcastic tone. Either way, it was off to his apartment. She was hoping he might actually forget her if he wasn't given her name. Though the last comment was more for his comment he said under his breath. As if she wouldn't hear it.
Masato's eyes would see everything clearly as the tension of the chain signified that Taylor was holding him in place for his next strike. ' Only option is to go forward.' he thought as he prepared to use his taijutsu mastery to harden his abdomen to the hardness of diamonds to take whatever attack came next. While his eyes would not miss one detail of the events....his hears were certainly took by surprise. Taylor called Masato by name. Masato knew he hadn't given Taylor his name since they started fighting. Since he forgot everything. Masato's limbs went limp. " Blondie. You remember now?" he said, squatting down to make himself eye level with the boy. His eyebrow was raised in an expectant expression.

Taylor's eyes flared blue as he looked inquistively at Masato. "Of course I remember you Masato!" Taylor snapped. What was the man on about? He then realized that he was fighting. He couldn't specify how he knew, but for some reason he knew that he was fighting his best friend and soul brother with all of his force. "What am I doing? You, Zhi, and Mom are all I have left in this world." Taylor said as he let go of his chain. He then recalled that he forgot to include Horus in his statement. "Of course, I mean you too Horus!" Taylor said with a smile as he turned his body to where he knew his bird would be. His face contorted, however, when he saw that blue haired girl standing next to his bird. Memories started to form in his mind. "Right. I forgot you guys." Taylor said under his breath. That's why he was fighting Masato. He was trying to get Taylor to remember. Joy then overwhelmed him.
"Masato, you did it!" Taylor smiled widely as he grabbed his best friend by the sleeves of Masato's shoulder. He shook them giggly as he he looked up at the sky and then broke off his grasp. "I remember everything! You, me, Zhi. Mom and Dad. Sunagakure!" He then took a deep sigh. "Oh how could I forget this? How could I lose everything that was so important to me?" His joy was overwhelming. His face shined with pure glee as he looked with such admiration at his closest friend. "I know who I am now. This is everything to me. Masato thank you so mu-"
He was stopped in his tracks. Panic overrode his face as thick black lines erupted from his chest and wrapped around his neck. They formed interlocking designs as he found himself unable to breathe. The lines then traveled from the back of the neck until they moved over his scalp and down his face. The tattoo then cranked his head backward in a cruel and unnatural position. "AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH" He screamed at the top of his lungs. The pain was overwhelming to him.
Moments after the scream his arms jerked out away from his sides. They then extended along his shoulder line as though he was a doll with the hands being pulled as far apart as they could. The tattoo wrapped around each arm as they caused every muscle in his arm to spasm. He kept screaming throughout the ordeal. What was going on? (Stage One training: 2/7)
