Static internally shivered. Happy he didnt outwardly shiver, so others could see, sure, but it still meant that there were zombies and that he was not a fan! The boy could just not seem to get himself to stand still, and well, that made it really hard to attack things. The boy swung, and missed... His heart sinking as he saw the slow motion attack miss by a mile.

Polair's bracelets chimed again and again, the more she used them, the harder she would hit. So calming... but it didn't felt quite right. Lashing and bashing all of her pent up angers at them. Calmness, that was all she needed. It didn't mean she wouldn't blow up at someone anytime soon but... made she needed to?

Engrav attacks the zombie horde!


Engrav saw his squad get pushed back under the deadly press of daywalker bodies, and knew that this was getting dangerous. Too many of the things! He dashed forward in an attempt to press the horde back, throwing as many jabs as he could into the milling crowd of undead. They fell under his attack, until there was just a single zombie remaining.

"I'll get it!" Tevini shouted as one lone daywalker remained. She fired to mow it down while taking care to avoid hitting any of her teammates. Her teammates had done a great job of taking the rest down and moving out of the way for her shot! Once it fell she tucked her gun back away and looked at the others to make sure they were all alright. She was surprised to see how ferocious Polair could be in battle but also impressed by it. The seadweller was by no means helpless with her blindness, she was a strong fighter who could take care of herself. It gave the redblood hope that Polair would continue to make her way through the hardships of her life while she worked on preparing a pair of mechanical eyes for her.

Engrav advances the party!

Exhauseted, physically and mentally, Engrav leaned against a wall for a moment. He didn't care what his fellow trolls thought, he just wanted to rest. Too many daywalkers. Eventually, he managed to steel himself back up, and peeked around a nearby corner. From the other directions he could hear shrieks and moans, but this direction seemed quiet. "I think this way is clear," Engrav said to the other trolls. He wanted desperately to be right.

The hallways always lead to zombies, always. Static frowned, ready for the nightmare inducing things to pop up and infest themselves in his subconscious. He had been having bad dreams, sleeping dayterrors, the worst kind. Static whipped himself around the corner and then sighed in relief. No zombies.

Engrav loots the room!

The empty room was filled with soft green light from several flickering displays. As the group fanned out to search the cabin, Engrav managed to get a photo of one of the displays with his buttonhold camera, hidden in his vest before he called the others over. "Look. This one's still active."

Polair followed Engrav close behind into the room. She knew he wanted to get intell of the mechanics and devices this ship had to offer, so she'd stand close if anything backfired and try to sooth the situation. Sure she didn't know what to do when the moment came but... she'd come up with something.

Peeking over Engrav's shoulder and using them as support, she curiously wished to know what he had found. There were somethings that never changed, her desire to know. "Any interesting findings?" She said.

"This door seems pretty strongly secured. It probably has something valuable inside." Tevini inspected the door they'd approached. Not only was it locked but she detected a trap on it as well, which she pointed out to her teammates immediately so no one would accidentally trigger it.

"Should we try to get in?" The redblood looked to her commander, awaiting his decision. Static so far had treated the team with a nice amount of respect and her opinion of him despite being a military troll was that he seemed a reasonable troll.

Using strength to open door

The door was mostly rust at this point, so it really was not that much of a deal to get it open. Static readied himself, and then pulled at the weak point of the door. Its lower right corner. Farthest from the hinges, and farthest from the door knob. It was slow work, but he got it done. Static beamed at his team, proud of his ability to be useful to the mission,

Engrav attempts to disarm the trap!


"Wait", Engrav called out, pulling Static back from the door. The yellowblood pointed to thin lines covering the entrance to the door: laser tripwires. "Not sure what those do. Probably wouldn't be fun to find out, though." He dropped to a knee and examined the mechanism, but couldn't seem to find any indication of a power source or easy way to scrap the trap. "Tevini, Polair. You guys got any ideas? I'm stumped," the yellowblood said, pointing to the mechanism.

"Hmm..." Tevini crouched beside Engrav to get a look at the mechanism. She hadn't encountered this kind of trap before but was willing to try. Pulling a screwdriver out of her kit, she undid the cover of where she suspected the trap was powered from in the wall. It was sort of a guess but turned out to be exactly what she was looking for! A brief examination later and she'd powered it off safely without exploding the door.

"That should do it." The redblood nodded.

The room beyond the door seems empty from the hallway, but stepping inside you are swiftly aware that you are not alone! For lurking in the corner is a dark groaning shape. As it turns towards you, you realize you are entering strife!

2 - Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. As the screens boot up however, dozens of red warnings and errors flash across the screen. It seems like there has been critical damage to the ship in multiple places. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
3- The ship refuses to power on, even after you follow headquarters instructions to make sure they are plugged in, and hitting ctrl-alt-del. It looks like something core is not functioning. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
4- Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the boarding vessel away.*
If any troll in the party has helmsman authority, they can steer the ship to given coordinates, then return to the boarding vessel with the rest of the team.

Static heard the noise of it before the door was even entered all the way. It was disturbing. The footfalls of hundreds of little feet, the squishy noises that meant it was defiantly some sort of undead, and then the smell. Static wanted nothing to do with it. He didnt want it to come out of the room, to look at him, or for it to even exist. In his fear his fist lit up with electricity, and he attacked the beast on instinct. "Get OUT OF HERE!" The blueblood yelled, far louder than he meant to.

Boss Dead

The thing fell to the ground, defeated. Static suddenly felt very self conscious. He, well, he didnt even think he could do that, to be honest. It was a surprise, a nice surprise. He did worry that he was showing off in front of his team. Would they all think he was showing off? Was that too much? The worries invaded his thoughts. HE tried to shake them off. "S-so, um, lets keep going, okay?" Static said, trying to come across as confident.
