There were posters and Fan fair everywhere. Andrew had been doing his best to ignore them.

He wasn't that big into dances.

He didn't have a date.

He fully planned to just skip this year. He should finish his school work and just get out of this place. He didn't have that much more to go. (Ok he should probably do more gym work but ugh... that required touching people. And fighting but mostly being within touching range. Gross.)

He should do his work but he was outside instead, enjoying the warmer weather. It wasn't really warm enough to take off his jacket but it was 100 times better than winter. And he found himself staring at yet another poster attached to a tree. Silently he debated burning it. How annoying. It was mostly a reason to date creeple and be around tons of other students.

He was terrible at dating, and being around creeple.

Andrew sighed to himself.

ugh it's been weeks. here is a start. come stare at the poster with him.

For the past few weeks, Olivia found herself in a similar sort of gloom, though a situation she actually did feel was terrible and awful. The part about not being around too many creeple, which was terrible. This was all semantics right now but it was still not ideal. Be it frequent trips home and away from Amity and then weird trips to new dream places. It seemed like she had to play a lot of catch up. Social wise and school work (but then, when did she really do that much school work? She was even now just barely a third year).

This wasn't really explaining how she had ended up where she currently was, not the best of exposition but perhaps it was being lost in similar sort of thoughts that sent her wandering about. A sort of attempt to return back to her usual habits (there had been at least a lot of staring in the quad as of late). Now she was somewhere apparently with trees where posters she had just not yet noticed.

But there was that ever familiar figure that could not be mistaken and even now still made Olivia's eyes light up as she spotted him; despite all those ever present pesky issues between the pair of them.

It was a good thing Andrew didn't have lazer vision because the poster, tree included, would have been long gone by now, with the scowl he was giving it. He was busy sulking and didn't look up immediately. it wasn't until he noticed a distinct shift in the air, of freezing cold. well, not that cold. the days were warm, but diffidently a few degrees colder than normal.

He glanced in the direction of the oncoming cold only to find... well, one of the least annoying people on campus. The only person he really kept tabs on, though he knew that he was the annoyance in their odd relationship.

He didn't go chase her down but he did lift a wing in greeting. "Hi." Then he returned to his brooding, staring the poster down. Yes he really should burn it... he reached a hand out and then looked at her and then dropped ti back into a pocket. Not in front of her.

and we are back to the posts of long ramblings of silence.

It probably was a little difficult not to notice her for a few reasons, the cold presence being one of them along with the lack of stealth in her steps. Steps that slowly receded once she got to a comfortable distance, which actually was a little closer than usual. Progress.

"Hello!" The ghoul chirped in her typical manner as her eyes flicked to the branch that he had been glaring at when she noticed him. "Did the tree do something to make you angry?" He did not seem very pleased with it after all, like he wanted to burn it down. Andrew probably wanted to burn it down. Olivia didn't particularly want him to burn it down.

"Aa, there's something on it." Realization came upon her, making her bounce a little closer to give it a good read finally.

Closer then usual was within the 5 foot range. Closer than usual was just close enough for him to be able to reach her with his wing. He scooted over so she could see the poster and then took a wing and dropped it on her head, covering her eyes so she couldn't read it. He got a small smug look on his face, pleased that she had come into range of being able to touch, though her hair tickled his wing a bit.

"No, but I would like to burn it." That's what trees were for, right? Fuel for fires.

Only a few select words, the ones in bold and distinct colors among the rest, managed to get read until Olivia found her head covered. And her body buckling just slightly at the sudden weight on her head, "aa!" There was a small moment of panic; her arms shot up, flailed a little as her fingers pushed against the offending wing.

That was completely unexpected and just a new thing to happen to her.

"But the trees have messages." Her blackened fingers poked more at the wing so it wasn't pushing her down so much.

Olivia could easily move the wing. They weren't build for containing people, only flying. But he did snort at her sudden small panic. She seemed to recover quickly enough and it was more a small flailing instead of the obvious terrified of fire issues that were the normal.

Except now she was poking. "Hey." he pulled it away flapped it a bit to get the sensation off and then... plopped it right back on her head.

"It's just a dump prom poster." he grumbled out.

Olivia found herself stopping in her prodding for two reasons - though, another would soon result from his failed attempts to get her to not notice the poster. For one, the flapping of his wing, no matter how gentle he might have been, sent her curls all about and out of place and ruffled her clothing enough to get her to make another sudden squeak of a sound and her hands sent elsewhere to get strands of blue out of her face.

The other, short lived and soon to be taken over by the third reason, was the wing being replaced back on her head resulting in yet another distressed sound from the action. There was another small flail and the urge to get right back to poking until Andrew blew his plan right out of the water. Olivia straightened up, despite the wing right on her head and she turned towards the boil with a sparkle in her eyes. "Prom? Like the super fun dance thing?"

Super fun was not how he would describe prom. Not at all. All his memories were of awkwardness. So much awkwardness.

He tilted the wing, only to see her staring at him with a strange spark. Oh no... he was going to get dragged into this wasn't he? He pulled the wing a little forward and then covered her face with the top edge. If he didn't see her, he could totally ignore the whole prom thing.

"It's pretty lame..." he protested. But it was a weak one. She would probably go, wouldn't she.

The response she had been hoping for seemed to be a little delayed as Andrew continued to awkwardly shift his wing upon her head, fussing up her hair just a little bit more. Nor was she getting a proper answer to her question, she realized as the wing tip finally cut off her view of the boil. Olivia's cheeks puffed in response and she resumed poking at the offending appendage.

"It was?" Clearly she hadn't noticed his awkwardness while they had attended but then again this was Olivia; the only time she could recall things being a little bit off was.. something about Molan. (Something she couldn't even remember now and had obviously gotten over by now. But aaw, Molan... been so long). "But wasn't it the thing with all those fun games? And the dancing?" If she was thinking about what she was thinking about.

Because if it was, yes, she probably would want to go again.

"...Yes... I guess that part was kind of fun." she seemed so excited. Ugh. And she was prodding his wing again. It twitched every time she prodded him until he couldn't hold it there anymore.

Andrew removed it and flapped it again before folding it back into resting position. He really didn't like being prodded like that. Though it had been worth it, her hair was all poofed up now. He resisted the urg to run his hands through it and poof it up more.

With the obstacle finally gone, Olivia found herself free to look upon the poster in all its glory. It was indeed what Andrew had mentioned in his annoyed grumpy manner as she had grown used to, but it didn't seem to hinder (when did it ever) the glow that seemed to intensify in her eyes. It had a theme or something! How neat!

"Do you think they'd have games again? We can go play some of them."

We.... that was a strong assumptive word. But also, spending the night, with her sounded....

Well. It sounded ok. Then he wouldn't be alone.

Besides it meant she wanted to go with him.

"They always have games."He found himself flushing again and looked away. "I guess. If you want." he mumbled, not fully committed. But prom sounded safe. It was not strange dream wanderings and had nothing to do with fighting or dying.

He plopped his wing back on her head. "But I'm only going if you go." He wasn't inviting her or anything. Really.

It might have been an assumption, unintentionally. A bit. But given how many activities they ended up partaking in together, even if they hadn't gone together to them from the start it was probably difficult for her not to. It just seemed the thing that happened.

Olivia always had a good time with the boil after all, despite the hiccups (and that one time in his room that was a little frightening and made her a bit sad afterwards - oh, and that annoying game a long while ago that she didn't want to think about. Ever again). He made her smile brighten at his confirmation about the games and with his round about agreement to accompany her. "Aa, I would love to-aack!" The ghoul squeaked once more when the wing returned.

The wing stayed, as Andrew actually looked at the poster with something other than bitter contempt. The poster said the theme was some strange thing.

"Ugh, now I have figure out outfits." He mumbled and glanced at Olivia. She wouldn't have a problem, she always looked nice. "It says the theme is the song of ice and fire. I guess we are already set." Andrew might just wear regular clothes, it would be easier.
