EARLY CHILDHOODReggie has a sad beginning. He never got to meet his muggle mom she died when he was born. His magic dad tried to raise his son. Many years he tried, but the stress led him to drink. In his drunkenness he was abusive to Reggie but would always regret it when sober. This downward spiral continued till Reggie was 6.
Reggie was never sure how the aurors found out about daddy when he drank the stinky stuff. He was quiet and a good boy like daddy said. Though daddy was kinda loud last time and they lived in a neighborhood with lots of houses. Soon he was off to live at a new home but daddy didn’t come with. Maybe it won't be as loud there...
About a year after arriving Reggie not full understanding that he was not going to see his daddy tried sneaking out to go meet him again. As expected he got terribly lost. He encountered David as a wolf on a full moon night and got bitten. He was saved by a Wool's volunteer, Jer, and brought back to the orphanage where Reggie made a 'clean' break from his dad. Wolves and the dark were too high a price.

xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Sheldon Eion Linton was born to Felix and Tabitha Linton. He had a happy, healthy childhood until the age of three when his father tragically passed away due to an unexplained illness. Of course, Tabitha never went in depth on the topic, afraid of scaring her son. Shortly after Felix's death, Tabitha remarried to a man named Russel. Sheldon absolutely hated Russel, but unfortunately, his mom needed the money he made (which wasn't much, mind).
Unfortunately for Sheldon, Russel had a nasty temper and a horrible drinking habit, leading him to hit Sheldon a lot. He also touched him inappropriately whenever Tabitha left the boys alone together. Over the few years he was stuck with the man, Russel escalated to more than just touching, leading Sheldon to hate himself so much he couldn't even bear to call himself by name. That's when his preference to go by his middle name took over.
One night when Russel was especially drunk, he got in a fight with Tabitha (something she'd rarely seen as he preferred to take out his anger on Sheldon instead). Eion, being used to this torment from the man tried to stand up for his mother, but ended up getting pretty badly wounded. The next thing he knew, he was waking up in a muggle hospital with several injuries caused by both fists and a knife, including his left eye being missing. Russel was arrested for attempted murder, but the court wouldn't let Eion just go back to his mother, especially because she refused to say Russel had ever hurt her son before. While they were apart, Tabitha began sending her son several trinkets, including a glass eye she'd had made to match his other so he wouldn't be "freaky". This piqued an interest in him, and he asked for more and more in whatever colors and patterns she could find. Surely he was going back home eventually, right?
Sadly, this wasn't the case, and after a year-long battle, Tabitha was forced to give up her son as a Ward of the State. A teary reunion ended with him being taken away from the only home he'd ever known. He was left by the suit-wearing men at an orphanage, with only a backpack, his eye-collection, and a suitcase of his clothes. He was even forced to switch to a brand new school, supposedly for a "fresh start". Unfortunately, all the damage done stuck with him, and he quickly discovered his own self-loathing at having ever been touched and not brave enough to stop the torture. He's convinced no family will ever want someone as messed up and dirty as him, so he just waits sadly at Wool's, wishing he'd had a better life to share.

A few weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant. Instead of raising the baby, she decided she'd set it up for adoption when it started showing magic. If it was a squib, she'd live with her mistakes and keep the baby. The plan wasn't well thought out, but it was her plan. When the baby was born, she realized the error of her choice. The kid was a metamorphmagus. It was too much for her, given that she’d been raised to hate herself due to her lack of magic.. However, Martha had a heart, and tried to raise the baby until he was at least five..
Another thing Martha never realized was how messy kids were, and her obsession with cleanliness meant that Simon got punished any time he made a mess or forgot to put away his things. He learned to cope with her, and as a toddler, would always try to help her keep the house clean, even when her mean boyfriend would come to visit. That man, Simon detested, as he liked to slap them both around. At the tender young age of two Simon had to learn to use his ability to hide bruises, even though he had no ability to change in any other form.
He unfortunately, thought differently of her, as she would punish him if he accidentally changed colors in public scenarios. Eventually, he would just wrap himself in hats and scarves with long clothes, regardless of the seasons. When he was three, she had a meltdown and she tried to get anyone at all to take him, before she eventually decided he'd be better off without her. She left him alone on the steps of Wools Orphanage without so much as a proper goodbye, let alone a loving one.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Jasper has wizard blood in him but would have never known it. His parents were quite anti magic. His dad was the estranged squib son of a wizarding family. When he left and joined the muggle world he never looked back. He got married to a respectable muggle woman. Jasper was born and his father was more than happy to settle to his white picket fence life. Jasper however was not the kid he had hoped for. Jasper was the baby who would cry all night and run around all day. He was by their standards out of control. All Jasper needed was an outlet as he was successful in preschool and played well with others. Their worst fears came true when Jasper would come home with notes of him somehow being covered in paint but claim the paint jars exploded and he would suddenly have his favorite toy with him despite not actually bringing it originally. They tried to ignore his blatant magic but when he had a tantrum at dinner cause he really didn't want his peas and caused the peas to explode everywhere (much to his delight) they decided to give him up. Not wanting to arouse suspicions they packed and moved houses. Jasper however would be left at Wools without much ceremony.

His parents argued a lot, mostly under direction of his father, who got drunk... a lot. It wasn't until he reached preschool that Quinn realized his life wasn't normal at all. His teacher launched investigations into the family when Quinn mentioned some of the things that went on at home. Within a few months, the Ministry had taken Quinn from his home and put into protective care at Wool's.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Phoenix was an unwanted child before he even existed. His mom had a wild night and ended up in a one night stand. She regretted the sinful night being usually religious. She was greatly disappointed to find she was pregnant. Her family was delighted so she faked looking forward to being a mom. Phoenix was born and had a hard lot in life right away. He was cared for but was never truly loved by his mom. Phoenix started showing magic early, as young as three years old. Mainly having toys appear for him or things that spooked him either breaking or go missing. His mom was not pleased with the strange happenings around her son. She would discipline him whenever these thing would happen. Phoenix not understanding why or what he done wrong grew timid and afraid. He usually had wear stuffy sweaters if he had too many bruises. Eventually when he was six and on a kindergarten trip one of the other mom made sure he got a lunch when his mom hadn't made one for him. He made the mistake of telling mom about the nice lady and got a big punishment. He just wanted a nice adult like that one mom so he decided to run away. Being so young all he packed was his prized plush bear, his favorite blanket, and a box of cereal. He was found by a nice police officer who took him to the station. He was worried he was in trouble because he didn't wear the sweater like he should and they seemed very interested in the bruises. He just wished they wouldn't keep trying to hug him or touch him. He was scared when he thought he was going back to mommy he even tried to hide. He was only so well hidden by the soda machine when a nice man came and told him he didn't have to go back to mommy and would get a new home at a place called Wools. Where there nice adults there?

Shortly after she was born, the family returned to their small home in Reykjavik, Iceland. Her parents, Enirs and Katrin, both worked on a fishing boat. When fishing season came around, she went to stay with a family friend in a small community near some massive ice caves. When she was three, her parents’ boat was capsized at sea, and unfortunately, neither survived.
The family that was watching her was unable to afford to continue without the family paying them, so she was sent to live with her elderly grandparents in England. The older family, unfortunately, was unable to care for Harriette due to her wild energy and their lack of help, so she was given up to the state for someone to adopt.
Now Harriette lives at Wool’s and is desperate for someone to understand her, or even for someone to give her love and attention. She often cries for her parents, still not quite grasping that they won’t ever come and take her home.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Dywn’s birth was an accident. His mother was a daredevil and like doing things on a whim. His father was similarly so, he was young and rebellious by goblin standards. Lots of alcohol and some time later, his mom found out she was pregnant she had no idea who the father was as she hadn't exactly kept track of who all she slept with. She knew she didn’t want to be a mom but also felt she should have the child and perhaps give him to a family who did want a kid. During normal medical check ups she learned he was a small baby.. Not underdeveloped but just unusually small. Knowing who this narrowed it down too perhaps her child would be best with his goblin father. Unfortunately he was not ready to be a dad especially with the social stigma a half breed child would bring. Soon after being born he was named after his dad and given to Wool’s in hopes of finding a good life.
As he grew Dwyn knew he was different he didnt grow as much. He also looked different enough. Especially his pointy ears. He didn't like that he was the odd ball out. He see other kids get family's but he got overlooked. Beside who wanted the freaky short kid with those ears and other strange things. His magic showed relatively early when a toy broke cause him and a kid were fighting over it he hold on to it to not get in trouble but then it be whole again! Coming up on six years old he has taken to half hiding when adopters come in. If they don't see him then he won't be disappointed when he’s passed over.

A while after her second birthday, he was called away to war, leaving his wife and daughter at home. Bridget did her best to take care of her daughter, but soon had to find a job, so Bethanie went to a local daycare every day. One day, on the way to pick up her daughter, Bridget was killed in a car crash with a drunk driver. The toddler was collected by some guys in fancy suits. They took her to the local police station, and while looking up her records, discovered her father had recently died in the war.
The fancy-suit men told her carefully that her parents had passed on to Heaven, and told her that she would be sent to live with her grandparents. Unfortunately, they quickly learned that they were poorly, and unable to care for a young child. Their next step was to send her to a special "home" called Wool's to live until a nice family could take her in. Once they arrived, she met the caretakers, Luke and Steffi, and was given a nice place to sleep. Now she spends her time there with the other children, doing her best to keep her spirits high.
When Bethie was just-turned 4, she met a lovely couple called Pam and Aster. It didn't take long before the girl was in love. It did, however, take what felt like forever for them to adopt her, but she was willing to wait if it meant they'd be her new family. xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Calliope was born to a lovely little magical family in Gloucester, England. The small family was full of love and happiness. Unfortunately, at the young age of two, she was kidnapped from her family home without so much as a trace of her whereabouts.
What she didn't know, and would not for years understand, was that her captor, Tomlison, was a vampire that had previously been wronged. He had been a vampire hunter for years, but finally he angered the wrong group. He was attacked by the group and forced to become a vampire while the clan killed his family. For years to come, he often took children that he believed reminded him of his young daughter, Anja. Calliope would never learn the fact that she hadn't been the only child.
She was brought to live in the abandoned home of Tomlison Southwark, nestled on the outskirts of Godric's Hollow. He raised her in the dark and shadows of his mysterious lifestyle, perpetually afraid he would be caught and murdered for everything he had done. He never let his worries fall upon Calliope, though he did teach her that they could only step outside in the dark.
Every so often, Tomlison would begin to grow angry and short tempered, which would always end with Calliope being left alone with the cranky old house elf for a few hours at a time. This allowed her to become more independent as she grew, learning to be able to take care of herself better.
As she got a bit older, Tomlison wouldn't leave as often, instead sitting with the young girl and gently biting into her neck. They would only spend a few minutes together, always ending in Calliope passing out and being lovingly tucked into bed by Tomlison, who felt guilty that he couldn't better control his needs.
One night, Tomlison got upset and left, though he didn't come back for a couple days. Finally, Calliope panicked, trying to leave the house to go find her father. She struggled with the door locks, then magic exploded out from her, knocking the door outward. She ran into the small village, searching for anyone who would be able to help. After a while, a kindly older lady stopped to help her, wrapping her in a warm scarf. As she did so, the woman gasped softly and frowned, but kept trying to warm the frail girl.
Just as the woman was asking questions, Tomlison swooped in, handing the woman back her warm clothes and taking Calliope back to their home, a small growl in his voice. He scolded her for leaving, though she could vaguely discern the upset in his voice. She was marched off to bed, but woken up only a few short hours later by a bunch of people storming in.
There were a group of Aurors, Hit Wizards, and a few people from the child protections team. One of them gently pulled Calliope aside, leading her out of the small house. The girl whined about being out in the daytime, but allowed the adults to take her away. It seemed to happen so fast, but ended up with Calliope being moved into Wool's Orphanage, since she had no family readily found.

CHILDHOODTrent and Jocelyn Sweetwater were two Americans that liked to travel. They met each other at a very young age and evidently became college sweethearts. Eventually the two wed and found themselves in the United Kingdom. It was there Jocelyn found herself pregnant with Summer. They were blessed with a little angel and were happy as could be. One day something happened, and everything changed for the family. Summer’s parents had disappeared from her life, and she’d been dropped off at wool’s orphanage.
The days that followed were not the happiest for Summer. Though she didn’t let that stop her. Instead, she looked to the world around her for better spirits. Anything to do with nature from, the flowers, the birds, and even the bees. Nature was always a constant and on that she enjoyed immensely. The fact that she was cooped up with many other kids wasn’t about to change that. As she grew the memory of her parents faded, though she held on to what little memory she had of them. As she watched many kids leave to have families of their own, she too hoped to have a family some day. Though Summer wasn’t one to push for it. The day a family would come would indeed come. It was just a matter of when.
As she waited for that time to come, Summer had experienced odd things. Things she couldn’t understand like seemingly turning sad looking flowers around. She didn’t get it but one day she was told it was magic and that she’d be going to a special school for witches and wizards. Hogwarts, they called it. It seemed like fun, perhaps she could find a family there.

First Year Summer was sorted into Hufflepuff. She managed to have fun and make some friends along the way. She learned about all sorts of new things her favorite being all the new plants she never knew existed. She was looking forward to next year. The next few years were for the same. She continued with Herbology club and enjoyed her electives. Turning fifteen and heading into her OWL year, Summer had yet to be adopted. At this point she didn't think anyone would adopt her. Everyone wanted the cute little kids after all. She was already a teenager so best not to dwell on the negative of it all and just accept things for what they were. At least she had Hogwarts.
Summer managed to get through her exams with minimal trouble. She was not going to talk about Transfigurations. Needless to say she made it into her sixth year and with less of a course load. Sixth year she had less of a course load which gave her a lot more free time, but her year was mostly the same.

xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Born to a single mother, Malakai had to learn to deal with not seeing her often. She worked three jobs, and whenever home was usually too tired to do much beyond cuddly naps. Normally, time was spent with his elderly grandmother, who honestly didn't like Kai, since he was a b*****d child. That usually manifested in strict rules for the child, despite his budding curiosity.
His grandmother's annoyance came to a boil when he accidentally broke the tv in an attempt to change to cartoons. The woman was furious, threatening to hurt Kai until his mom came home and decided they'd try to stay somewhere else that night. On the way, Kai tried to sing along to his favorite songs, a game which usually his mom participated in. After driving for what seemed like forever, she spoke, quietly apologizing to him. Of course, this confused the four-year-old, though he initially blamed it on being really sleepy. Suddenly, lights in front of the car got really bright, then he heard the screeching of metal as his body rattled in the car.
It took a while, but Kai was pulled to safety by a fireman and taken on a ride in an ambulance. His mind was full of worry, but he didn't have Mr Phant to snuggle since he'd been in the car too. Luckily, the ambulance doctor was really nice and let him snuggle in her jacket. While at the hospital, a nice doctor told him the fate of his mother and held him while he wept. As the day went on, the boy overheard some doctors saying it was a miracle anyone survived, which confused Kai. A few days later, a professional looking guy took Kai away from the hospital, taking him to a "special home" for kids without parents. Kai didn't really understand, especially with his odd new diagnoses of tourettes. He just wanted to go home and stop hurting for a while....
While at the orphanage, Kai had to learn to deal with his new tics (at least that's what the doctor had called them), which included making odd noise and twitching. His biggest issue was not being able to control any of it at all. Plus, he was pretty sure that Wool's had extra monsters under their beds, despite people saying they really didn't. He just wanted to go back home, but even Grandma didn't want to care for him since his mama wasn't there anymore. For now, he'd stay... at least until he worked up the nerve to run away....
After being at Wool's only a few short months, Kai met a lovely couple called Finn and Caty. They helped fix a toy train, then they played and talked... a lot. And they didn't even comment on his weird twitches! A few more visits cemented their mutual affection, and shortly after summer fell, Finn and Caty officially adopted Kai, saying he'd never feel unloved again. Plus apparently they had a huge family, which was super awesome!

Her emotions and instincts guide her, and her thinking always falls in line with feelings, however they swing. Whether or not she intends to, Susan spends a lot of time ruminating on her life and past. She remembers her life very vividly, and relives it over and over, immersed in memories long past and searching for anything to explain the magic that apparently isn’t there. Some days she has better control of her feelings, both other days she drowns in them.
STRONG WILLEDSuzie doesn’t give up, pursuing her goals and interests with undeterred determination. If she knows what she wants, she will get her way. She believes quite strongly that she is in control of her mind, emotions and memories and chooses to drown in them instead of just being consumed by them sometimes-- and no one outside could possibly know her better than she knows herself. PARTICULAR Susan’s space is always immaculately polished, her clothes are always pristinely pressed, and her hair is washed three times over and done without a hair out of place. While what constitutes “perfect” may vary with mood and place, she is very consistently particular about organizing and cleaning and often bothered when other people--particularly her younger brother--do not share the same standards. As such, she has a tendency to get controlling as she works through details and it’s usually easier for her to work alone.

xxx✬BACKSTORY✫xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✬✫EARLY CHILDHOOD Suzie’s earliest memory was when she was five, scattering flower petals in the breeze at her parents’ wedding. She remembers the lacework on her mom’s dress, the corsage on her dad’s suit, the smiles on their faces. Over the next few years, she watched those smiles turn to tears and heard the laughter fade to silence.
The three of them seemed happy enough together, living in a small townhouse in Winchester, England. Her mother, Halinor, made floral arrangements in a flower shop she had worked in since high school; Suzie loved helping, even if it was just making sure tools and books always went back to where they came from. Her father, Guillian, was an herbologist and cursebreaker consultant that ran his family’s gardens in Stirling, Scotland; Suzie loved how he would swing her onto his shoulders and “fly” around with a tennis ball charmed to hover around.
She remembers the first fight. A casual conversation grew heated, and finally, Guillian left through the fireplace. One fight led to another until finally they stopped fighting at all. The separation had been amicable, but inevitably ended in divorce.
✬✫SCHOOL and WOOL’S Amongst her mother’s frequent visitors was one Nari Siddall, and Suzie occasionally saw her son Nimbus at school. Nimbus’s best friend was Wren Winchester, a rude boy who always called her socks and outfit “mismatched”. Once, she overheard the pair talking to snakes. She told their classmates, thinking it would be fun information, but no one believed her. Then in second grade, Suzie overheard the boys talking about how Nim’s mother’s death might not be an accident. This time the rumors started like wildfire. Wren confronted her about starting the rumors, and she lost the fight--no doubt because the boy used magic, Suzie blamed— but he left the school afterwards anyways, leaving her free to befriend Nim for herself. Even though the kids in the class still thought she was weird, Suzie was happy to thereafter have a friend-- at least for a while.
Suzie herself didn’t show any signs of magic as a young girl, no matter how much she tried to make magic happen from the moment she knew it was a thing. At first, it didn’t bother her. She was just a late-blooming child, her wizard-father had always assured. She learned as much as she could about magic in the meantime. Her brother though, almost 7 years younger, was a mere toddler when he started levitating pudding boxes into the shopping cart. Galen was different: His face changed, his hair changed-- everything about him seemed to shift fluidly along.
Galen had other health problems, ones that Halinor struggled to manage. While Guillian was still paying child support, the man himself had gone missing on an extended cursebreaking job. Halinor was caught playing a balancing act between keeping Galen hidden at home (or magical homes nearby) and risking exposure. Ultimately, the child support services witch assigned to their case didn’t think Halinor was doing a good job. Halinor had tried her best to cooperate with the support services--up until they tried to take Galen away. She reacted violently--desperately--and finally they stunned her, and removed Galen and Suzie to Wool’s Orphanage. Suzie found out later that Halinor had been obliviated, and they were to be left at Wool’s.
Initially, Susan was angry but ambivalent, saying that in a few months she’d be going to Hogwarts anyways. When her letter didn’t come, she felt confused and betrayed. Surely this was some mistake. She continued studying what she could, as though knowing the magic would allow her to do it, but the years passed, and still no letter. She doesn’t know if she wants a new home and is constantly back and forth. Part of her insists she’d be fine on her own, but the other half is desperate for a fresh start. A new home, a new family, maybe even a new name.
For a while she was friend with another metamorphmagus called Cassidy; then she was friends with a girl called Harmony. But both of them got adopted without Susan. Bitter and angry, Susan didn't answer Harmony's letters for a long while-- her former friend was off sailing the high seas and she was stuck going to a stupid muggle school.

Less concerned about nice words or following rules, Galen wants to encourage people to play the game of life to their best -- he listens to people and tries to find what is hurting and help them solve that, or at least face that. This isn’t always what people want or think is right, but it does come from genuine care.
DIPLOMATIC Galen is happiest when everyone can work together. He listens to what people need and looks for opportunities to bring people together for mutual benefit. He’s always willing to compromise or help negotiate a compromise, believing the best plans are always those that have the best parts of many plans. Especially when it’s just him, he’s quick to yield or concede if he thinks it’ll make people work together better. He always asks why people do mean things and is usually willing to make an excuse for them.
PLAYFUL Along with his optimism, Galen has a relentlessly playful spirit. He likes having fun, and he likes getting other people to have fun. Small pranks and jokes are always welcome, and even though he doesn't say rude joking things, he's willing to play along. Due to a heart defect, he can’t always run around and play for very much, but he does what he can-- whether it’s an impromptu dress up session or a meticulously detailed Dungeons and Dragons campaign, Galen just wants people to enjoy themselves and enjoy life.
PHILOSOPHICAL While at his age no one would call it philosophy, Galen does enjoy thinking about abstract ideas or just thinking about things “like an alien”. He tries very hard to make a metaphor out of everything, and to see something deep and meaningful in every whim of the universe.
HONEST Despite just wanting to be kind, Galen has basically been conditioned into honesty -- His meta ability meant his body literally telegraphed everything he felt, from guilt over a small lie to hurt at an offhand comment. Even without this though, he thinks it’s always best to be honest, and “white lies” are cover ups for deeper issues that could be better off discussed or accepted. The only time Galen will ever even try to be less than honest is for some in-game strategery.

xxx☻BACKSTORY☺xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ☻☺EARLY CHILDHOOD Galen was three when he was taken to Wool’s. He doesn’t remember his parents at all, even if he has their pictures memorized. He doesn’t remember levitating pudding and baby food around, to the amazement and horror of the muggles around. He doesn’t remember shifting colors and faces with every giggle. From Suzie's stories, he knows a little about Winchester, and a little less about Stirling. Instead, Wool’s has been his home, and the Wool's residents his family. He asks Susan a lot of questions about their mother or father, but sometimes she doesn’t reply, saying it’s better for him not to think about things that aren’t true anymore.
As he struggles to control his meta ability, Galen is happy to be homeschooled by Steffi and Luke. He can't read or do numbers very well, but he shows good interest in learning stories, playing games, and helping out around the place. While he can't run around too long without risking heart issues and spends more time sick than he'd like, Galen has proved to be a fairly curious learning and persistent--if forgetful and irresponsible-- about his training--the way he figures, if he wants any shot of playing Quidditch, he has to train up slowly!

EARLY CHILDHOOD Cass was born to a wizard mom and a muggle dad fifty miles north of London, they didn’t intend to have kids, they just didn’t really want to be parents. So when Cass was discovered they were not the typical happy parents. They opted to put the kid up for adoption once he was born as it wasn’t the kid's fault he was here. Another wrench was thrown into their plan when Cass was born with the rare Xylander family meta gene. Born with pink hair and changing every hour or so they couldn't take him many muggle places.
They felt terrible if they kept a kid and had them grow up with them as parents. So with hopes of him finding a good family that needed a child they gave him to Wools with a name and a stuffed dino. He grew up in the orphanage and eagerly awaited a family. He wasn't mad at the parents that made him because didn't keep him, no parents are better than bad ones. Sure it was a bit disheartening to see others get adopted first but he just assumed his family must not be ready yet. He hoped that soon they would be ready to take him home.
