6-10 --> You did your best and a few of them seemed to get it. They spent the next five minutes dancing among themselves to translate to the others. It didn't go well.

Elidae found the light hum coming from the booth comforting; insectoid lusi always had a special place in her biscuit. The booth's owner was a fellow yellowblood, and quite adorable! "So cute!" Elidae commented lightly, touching her cheek. Communicate with the lusii, huh? Okay!

Putting on her game face, Elidae moved her hips the the side, then again to the other side. She then moved her arms with her hips, and started working on a dance she hoped would reveal where those flower fields are! She paused, trying to get a read on the bee lusii to see if they were understanding. It appeared as if a few were enlightened by her interpretive dance, but others... not so much. Gotta amp it up! Elidae swooshed her arms into the air, then swirled them around in a big circle. She paused again with a smile. "Ehh?" The yellowblood questioned with hope. Nope. She then fell limp with a pitying laugh. "Awww! I'll just have to come back later and try again! Bye, friends!" She then moved on to the next booth, but not without snatching a cute little bobblehead!

"Oh, Cat! Look!" Waving her lusus over, Autumn hurried towards the booth with the yellow banner. It was the name had caught her lookstub. "Dancing!" she exclaimed, breathless. Her faced glowed with excitement. After participating in last sweep's dance battle booth, she had ever so hoped to see it return. This appeared to be run by a different troll, but that did nothing to dampen her enthusiasm.

The buzzing confused her though.

Her eyes quickly scanned the material as she skimmed the instructions. Caterpal fluttered over her shoulder, interested in the insects whizzing around the hive. His tail blinked out a cheerful hello.

"Bees," Autumn said after a moment. "Well, this will be easy! If I can communicate with you, surely I can communicate with bees." Regarding her lusus out of the corner of her eye, Autumn poked out her tongue. Caterpal flashed out an equally catty reply.

"Is that so?" Autumn asked. "I'll be that you can't."

The tension that suddenly filled the air between the two was like elecricity. The two stared each other down with such intensity that sparks might have flown between them. Then suddenly they were off, each trying to garner the favour of the bees in their own way, Autumn fanning her wings, and Caterpal racing after the bees caught in the draft with his tail light pulsing.

Chiara Moteku
16-20 --> Wow, you're a real bee communication pro! Api is so proud of you.

Chiara was there bright and early, maybe too early. None the less she was there, and she was ready. She had to make this little troll know that she meant business, and besides, it kinda irked her that the kid wasn't being all that respectful to their higherbloods. "So?" Chiara said roughly. "Is anyone decent at this thing?" The blueblood was tempted to... volunteer... to help the little troll out. Chiara was not completely positive they knew what a good dancer looked like, with the bee thing and all.

Kaldru Dajale would not be bested by bees.

Assured that he would do better today, he came back to Apibom's booth, confidently striding up to them. He grinned broadly, settling his hands on his hips in an almost braggart-like pose.

"Mim gave me tips this evening!" he declared. "I'll definitely do better, this time."

...unfortunately, a giant termite-snake didn't actually know much about communicating with bees. What amounted to a lot of clicking, snapping, and rear-wiggling on Kaldru's part ended up with him being, for the most part, completely ignored by the buzzbeasts. It was only when he was finally ushered out so someone else could have a turn that his face turned to a sullen pout as he leaned up against the booth counter, even if he had to stand on his toes to properly do so.

"I don't get it!" he whined. "How do you talk to them?"

kaldru is canonically bad at bees now it is done

Oh! She came by first thing in the evening, good thing Api had checked in before continuing to visit some of the booths. They couldn't help but clap at her performance - it was perfection! The bees understood everything she said. "Ooh you did so well! You're a real pro, miss!" They cheered as she approached the booth. Still oblivious to her real intentions, but wary enough to want to be cheerful no matter what. "Oh, yes! Uhmmm there were... two other people that did really great yesterday." Api nodded, then began to shift prizes around on their booth table to look for the paper.

"Uhmmmm... Here you go!" They slid the paper over, but... all it had was the trolls' symbols and their blood colors written down (a blueblood and a greenblood, apparently). Api had not thought to ask for their names. Welp.... "They were really good at following the directions, almost as good as you were today." Sure that they'd done a good job, Api nodded along while they spoke, continuing to smile cheerfully.

Ooh, Kaldru had come back! It seemed that he was still having difficulties with communicating... Just what was he doing? Api watched in mild confusion as he clicked and snapped at the bees, expression slipping for a few seconds before they realized they weren't putting on a perfectly cheerful persona. As Kaldru approached the booth again, they shook their head. "You'll do it, Kaldru! I beelieve in you." They giggled a bit. "Talking to bees is all about following patterns. You gotta do the diagram just perfectly or they'll get confused!"

Cynril came back for more, determination running through his veins to do better-- to READ better. So he took a diagram and slowly instructed the bees as bet as he could. Of course he was just guessing the commands rather than reading them but some seemed to understand! Even if the outcome wasn't the best, Cynril dabbed a bit and happily collected a cute bubble head prize!

"Yay! T-Thanks!" She said cheerfully.

Invira wandered towards the next booth she saw, and was instantly captivated by the little insects buzzing around. She doesn't see many insects on her corner of Busthind. Bees... Invira had no idea they communicated with dances. Then again, this was her first time encountering bees this closely. How hard could this be? She used body language all the time with her lusus. Mainly just glances, but still. Invira lifted her arms hesitantly as she tried to decipher the diagrams.

She looked hopefully at the bees, who mostly seemed confused. Then, when a few of them seemed to understand, Invira flailed in excitement, which then immediately undermined any progress she had made. Slumping over in defeat, she slowly shuffled away from the confused swarm.

Psykgi Mentha

Psykgi returned to the bee both with a sizable group of her lusus, determined to do some buggy shenanigans. She did the dance, but it appeared that some other messages came across with the pheromones between the two insect lusii... or maybe it was the cockroach swarm's desire for honey that derailed the dancing, sending them scurrying every which way and completely confusing the bees and nearly causing Psykgi to step on a few individual bugs - she couldn't tell which, with them going everyhwere at once.

Eventually, she decided to call this attempt a loss and just accept it. She gave the palish diamond blueblood an encouraging thumbs up (as he was completely ignored) and strode over to the booth proper.

"Might as well..." She said to no one in particular, since her lusus was in slight disarray at the moment. It appeared that the little yellowblood had attracted a familiar face, too. "Chiara, I had no idea you liked honey." Chiara made her think bitter not sweet, after all. She turned to the tiny little swarmpupa proprietor. "Hi there. I'm Psykgi." she said, being friendly as usual...

Chiara Moteku

Chiara raised an eyebrow at the redblood Psykgi. "Bees also sting, right Psykgi?" Chiara grinned tauntingly at the redblood. Chiara looked at the paper with the names and symbols written on it. There was no attractiveness score, no name, nothing about their charisma, just how good they were at communicating with bees. The blueblood frowned, but turned it upside down, trying to act helpful and sweet. "Its pretty impressive, running a booth all by your self, when you've only just cocooned out of wiggler-hood. Hey, how about i help you? Want some help from a friend?"

Poe returned to the bee-dancing booth to try again. It was very silly, he thought, but it was fun. He couldn't bee-lieve he was going to do it again! Okay, he could, but he wanted to make the joke. He danced around, trying to get the bees to listen to him again like they did the other night. It took a bit more effort than it did before, but it worked again. "Oh wow!" he said, huffing a bit. Dancing hard kind of made his leg ache.

a reminder that poe is in disguise, and so the symbol he's wearing isn't his real one! just because you guys were mentioning writing it down aha. he's also a teenager so his appearance is different than his child stage!

11-15 --> It took a while, but you managed to communicate where to go!

Vitula ran up to the booth with excitement in his eyes. His friend he had met at schoolfeeding had there very own booth here at Bloodfest. He gazed on to the booth and how well it was put together. Apibom and there lusii looked like they were hard at work, so Vitula just simply waved to them and went up to try the game. He looked at the diagram and tried to understand it, this was going to be a challenge but he knew he could do it.

"Lets see . . . what if I treated this like a piece of sheet music . . . first I need to understand what the symbols mean. Then I can easily read this a bit better." He placed his hand to his mouth looking over the diagram again, and again. "Okay . . . lets do this!".

He began to move the way the diagram had told him, at first he saw as the Lusii couldn't keep there eyes off of him. "It's working!" he thought with excitement, that was until he got to the second half. As he moved the lusii began to look at one another trying to figure out what was being communicated to them. Vitula had to stop a few times to re-read the diagram. It took him a bit long but that Lusii understood where to go.

He looked at Apibom and gave them a thumbs up.

Api spared a thumbs up to the kid that had come the night before and just... not done at all what they were supposed to. This time they managed to get some of the bees to understand! How exciting.

Their attention was drawn away again by a redblood and a swarm of... cockroaches? Api squinted a little, watching as they all scurried around or tried to dance with the troll they were accompanying but oh... it did not turn out well. Their own lusii were too confused by all the motion to really get what was being said. They perked up as she approached.

"Hello! I'm Apibom. Are those your lusii?" They nodded at the various scurrying insects. Chiara spoke up again, which drew their attention immediately. "Oh thank you for saying so! Its a lot of fun." They beamed, practically glowing from the compliment. "You, help me?" They blinked in surprise, gaze darting off to one side for a moment as their mind seemed to come to an abrupt halt.

What was the proper protocol here? Would it be right to accept, or more polite to insist she not bother herself with something so mundane as a bee dancing booth? "A-ah.., um, I really would hate to burden you with it..! I mean, um, if you wanted you are most uh- welcome to hang around..!" They stumbled over their words, and despite their best efforts were beginning to look more and more flustered by the second.

What a charming little yellowblooded booth, Serima thought as she strolled up to the colorfully displayed game. Wait a second...were those...bees? The pressure was really on now, and it was too late to turntail and run, she was already on the footmarkers.
The nerves of being faced with a SWARM OF BEES must have taken its toll on Serima. She managed to get the basics across, to some of them. As soon as she noticed some of the bees were pollinating and dancing at the others she booked it, just happy she didn't get a face full of stingers. She'd need to be more prepared tomorrow night.
"Lovely booth, really. Very nice," She managed to say politely to Api on her hurried way out. It was clear that she wasn't quite on her A-game.
