"That's the last one," Octavia sighed with relief. She'd been up all night finishing the decorations for the cupcakes and alongside the long flight across the country, she was exhausted. It had been even more painful with Raine sulking the whole journey and arguing with Ymir over the 'borderline abuse' she was inflicting by dragging him to the festival. Luckily Valor had been there to act as a mediator and also help her transport the food to the festival, she'd even been grateful enough to say she MIGHT visit him at the kissing booth if he stuck to the cheek and nothing else. She knew his game. Looking around, the young celestial mage could see wizards from guilds across the country seemed to have travelled to this event and were hosted fantastically by the members of Fairy Tail who were New York's resident guild. They didn't plan the event, but clearly felt a duty to help. Even their guild master was rumoured to be present. In the market area where she'd set up, there was a wealth of different food stalls with cocktail bars and food trucks dotted around. On the next table, someone had laid out a stunning array of cookies and brownies. Looking around, she spotted a young girl with hair as light as the sun setting down a box of danishes and another even smaller girl not far away finishing up laying out equally as tasty-looking muffins and scones. Walking over to them she beamed at the fellow bakers, "Hey, did you make all of these?" she asked with a smile, "They look great!"

Ymir leaned against a tree, watching the finishing touches being put on all the Valentine's Day decorations and sighed. She was glad to be out in the open after a nightmarish flight from LA To NYC. Raine had done nothing but complain, sulk and argue with her the entire journey. Valor had tried his best to calm the two of them as neither had the kind of magic that agreed with air travel. Octavia did nothing to help and had put on noise-cancelling headphones to avoid being asked to enter the feud whilst she also sulked for different reasons and got up every ten minutes to check her cupcakes were okay. They really could have done with Andromeda to chain the blood mage up but the young celestial wizard had given all her spirits a day off unless it was an emergency. Ymir had several things planned for the evening; keep at eye on the guild members, find a birthday present for Octavia and partake in the float parade. She planned to use her wind magic to create a soft storm of petals and heart-shaped confetti. She didn't celebrate the holiday but after travelling so far she figured she may as well get some extra money.

Alyssa gasped in awe. Central Parc was adorned in lights, stalls selling handmade gifts and food formed makeshift streets across the grass and music played over speakers surrounding the area, "Wow, they really outdid themselves this year!" she cried, grabbing hold of Katiki's arm, "Look! They're getting the floats ready for later! The Fairy Tail one looks awesome, you're going to look so amazing up there," she squealed like an excited child. Alyssa loved Valentine's Day and she'd made an extra effort to make herself look nice; red dress with white hearts all over it, white stockings, red dolly shoes with a long, black fitted coat and a heart-shaped hair clip. "Come on, let's go to the photo booth! We need pictures of us and then we can go and play carnival games!" she tugged the ice mage along with her.
Katiki had woken up in a good mood that day, she walked over to her calendar and saw what day it was. "Ah that's right, I have the float to do today." She said to herself. She decide to get ready for the day and check the festival out before she had to perform tonight. with a quick shower out of the way and dressed in black cut-off pants, a dark blue v-neck shirt with a long dark blue coat, a few buttons buttoned to keep it in place, and her hair up in a nice pony tail, with a fairy tail emblem hairpin. She took one last look at herself and smiled. "Alright ready for the day."
Once out of the house she made her way to the festival. "Wow, this is amazing" she said quietly, making her way to the floats. "Hmmm" she said as she saw the float she was going to be on. Out of no where Alyssa grabbed onto her arm. "Ah! What th- " Katiki turned some and saw Alyssa. "Oh hey, and thank's I'm a bit nervous to be on that thing... So many people watching me.." She said. "Ah- A photo booth?!" Katiki said as she was pulled along to where ever Alyssa wanted. It was fun being with someone like Alyssa, in a way it made Katiki feel less alone in the world where all she knew was pain and hate. Smiling at the young requip mage, Katiki gave up her struggle. "Alright Lets go have some fun before I have to get up on that thing" Katiki said smiling a soft smile.

Jorel stood at the Kissing Booth he volunteered to help with. He was dressed in a white, button down dress shirt, a red slim fitting vest, a white tie, and black slacks. His dreadlocks were pulled in to a neat ponytail and his goatee was freshly groomed and shaped up. He stood with his warmest smile to welcome those who attended this Festival. Honestly, he wasn't much for Valentine's Day, but if he could make someone else feel special, then he'd do what he could. This was easier than the last job he went on. So, it was a good change of pace for him.

Alyssa squeezed her best friends arm, "Aw, come on, Inu, you'll do great. You'll be standing as a proud member of Fairy Tail on our guild's float showing Central Park what you've got! Your magic is beautiful, that's why we all wanted you to do it," she reassured her, "And I bet you'll outdo the member of Sabertooth who applied for the float position too. No idea who he or she is but it doesn't matter. I'll be cheering for you only!" Dragging Katiki into the photo booth, Alyssa coaxed her into pulling silly faces for the camera before promptly jumping out to retrieve the printed results, "Here, I got two printed," she handed the ice mage one of the small printed photo strips, "Let's go!" Taking a slightly slower walk but keeping a hold of Katiki's arm, Alyssa trekked into the more crowded area of the festival. It was still early in the day but people had already started pouring in. In the corner of her eye, the requip mage spotted a familiar face, "Well, look who it is!" she tugged her friends arm and pulled her over to a the familiar constellation channelling wizard, "Hey, Jorel! I didn't know you applied to work the kissing booth, you sly fox," she smiled, "Come on then, give us a kiss," she giggled, tapping her cheek.

"Ladies... Ladies," Jorel gave a warm smile to Alyssa and Inu. "I'm really happy to see you both," he leaned forward against the counter of the booth looking at them. "So you want a kiss, huh?" he licked his lower lip. His finger then tapped on the sign that said '$5 per Kiss'. "Gotta pay," he winked. It wasn't like him to flirt, but this was a special event so he decided to be a little on the playful side. "These kisses will send you to the stars," he smiled once more.
Katiki smiled at Alyssa's comment. "haha thanks, I'll do my best to out beat Sabertooth!" Katiki said with a determined grin, and sticking her hand up in the typical fairytail fashion. Once at the photo booth Katiki finally agreed to make silly faces, Katiki laughing the whole time, "Thanks. I'll put these on my mirror." She said as she placed it in her coat pocket. While being pulled along she was smiling the whole time. "Huh?" Katiki said as she looked to where Alyssa was taking her. "Oh hey Jorel, have any takers yet?" Katiki said smirking at her friend. Katiki smiled and looked at Alyssa. "ohhh looks like you have a taker right here~" She said smirking playfully gently nudging Alyssa with her hip a bit closer to the booth. "Five bucks huh? Alright!" Katiki placed a 5 out on the booth, "Make sure its a good one for my friend here" Katiki said playfully

Finally arriving at the festival after an extremely eventful flight, Valor stretched his arms above his head. He was glad to finally be out of the hell that had been the airplane. He had almost wished he could have been like Octavia and put his ear buds in, but the good in him said he had to play the mediator for Ymir and Raine. Glancing over at the red haired man, Valor shook his head. Of course the ace's bad mood had come out during the trip. Valor could only hope he was able to withhold it throughout the festival. It was a huge event sponsored by the city the Fairy Tail guild made their home in. Besides Sabertooth, there were several other guilds gathered. Surveying the groups of mages that were collected around the clearing, Valor threw a few flirtatious winks and smiles at some of the particularly good looking girls. It helped that Sabertooth was particularly famous, even in this part of the country. Deciding it was best to forget about what had happened on the airplane, Valor patted Raine on the shoulder. "Listen to Ymir, don't get yourself into trouble,"he reminded before shooting the S-Class wind mage a 'good luck' expression. She would definitely need luck if she wanted to get Raine through the day. Valor normally would have stayed to make sure the guild ace didn't go berserk, but he had a job to do. Or more like a pleasure to indulge in. He had taken up the job of the kissing booth. Apparently he would be sharing a station with another mage from Fairy Tail; not that Valor minded at all. He was in it more for the objective of kissing than for the money. The gorgeous blond haired man had already decided that if he finished his job early, he would go out on a date with the beautiful, taper waisted toxic mage he had met at the previous job. Hopefully she wouldn't be intoxicated this time. Making his way over to the booth, Valor brushed a hand through his hair, splaying the golden locks out and giving it the perfect disheveled look he so loved. Or was it the perfect disheveled look women so loved? Nearing the station, the green mage could see what looked to be the man he was sharing the booth with and two other women, both of who were quite attractive. Stepping into the conversation just as the white haired girl laid down $5 for her friend, Valor tilted his head. "Perhaps I could give you a kiss afterwards too, hm?,"his deep voice a sultry tone as his green eyes sparkled in the sunlight.
It was a terrible day. The sun was too bright. The bird song was too sweet. The people were too happy. The couples especially were way too mushy. Renae wanted to do nothing more than hide herself under the covers and cry, but of course she couldn't, because Clement was here and she refused to be anywhere he wasn't. Frowning over to where the newbie light dragon slayer was setting up her stall, Renae busied herself with preparing her own stall. She internally set down a few rules: she was to refrain from speaking to anyone besides customers and Clement. Any mages or other personnel who came and tried to talk to her would be strictly ignored. Sighing in content with her rules, Renae was jerked out of her thoughts by a voice almost as bright and bubbly as the newcomer's. Scowling, Renae ignored the brown haired girl who was barely taller than she was, and focused on arranging the scones she had put so much effort into baking in order. She was here for Clement. She wasn't even here for money. Realizing that the brown haired girl wasn't going anywhere, Renae lifted her dark blue eyes to glare. She definitely wasn't from Fairy Tail, which meant the young mage had to show a certain amount of respect and politeness. Clement wouldn't want their guild to be on bad relations with other guilds. "Hey, if you're not going to buy anything, would you kindly move?," Renae raised her eyebrows in challenge at the older girl. Her tone had taken on the sound of mild annoyance, but it didn't have the same harshness and poison it usually did when she was speaking to guild members.

Alyssa whirled round to see where the silky voice addressing Katiki had come from. Standing in the other kissing booth was a gorgeous blond-haired man with dishevelled hair. And he was English. The requip mage smirked, "Well Inu, you have always said you've loved my accent and now you have the male equivalent offering up a kiss so...," she reached into her pocket and produced a slightly crumpled $5, "My Valentine's Day gift to you," she beamed. Turning back to Jorel, she stood on tip toes so he could reach her cheek whilst slyly pushing Katiki towards the blond.
Lumi was exhausted. She had baked so much in the last few days that she hadn't slept too much. But as soon as she stepped onto the festival grounds, she was filled with excitement. The day was beautiful, and everything was decorated wonderfully. She felt slightly awkward as couples passed though; she felt out of place because she didn't have a boyfriend, and was therefore alone. She made her way to her stall, and started setting up all of her pastries. She was almost done when a brown haired girl came over. She smiled at the unfamiliar girl. "Yes we did!" She glanced over at Renae, noting her slightly less rude attitude than usual. "Don't be mean to the other guilds! This is a time to meet new people and have fun!" She said to Renae, and turned her attention back to the girl. "My name's Lumi, this is Renae, and we're from Fairy Tail!" She shook the newcomer's hand. "It's great to meet you!"

With the $5 placed on the counter of the Booth, and Alyssa's standing on her toes for the kiss, Jorel slowly leaned in to get closer to Alyssa cheek. He gently took her by the chin and placed his full lips on her cheek, It wasn't a quick 'peck' on the cheek, but he allowed for his lips to linger for a few seconds. Katiki did pay $5 for her, and a peck on the cheek would be cheating her after all. After pulling away, he grinned to her. "I hope it was to your satisfaction," he grinned once more. His eyes then went up to the blonde with the english accent who approached them. "So, you're the other Wizard who signed up for the Kissing Booth, huh?" he called to him. "I'm Jorel Nyota of Fairy Tail. What's your name?" he placed his thumbs in his pockets.

Katiki glared playfully at her friend. "gee that's what I've always wanted..." she said sarcastically, then looked at the blond *Hmm he is handsome but he seems like the player type.* she thought with a sigh she looked the blond in the eyes. "Since she did pay I guess I have to go with it." she said playfully. Katiki turned back in time to see Jorel place a nice kiss upon Alyssa's cheek. " Yes It was, thank you Jorel, to bad I didn't have my phone in time to get that picture.." she said smirking. Katiki then looked towards the handsome blond. "I don't usually kiss people I don't know, so..." She said offering a small smile. "I'm Katiki Inu, of fairy Tail." she said as she placed her hand out for him to shake.
