A trip back home! It sounded nice... So long as her sisters and parents wouldn't be their usual over-bearing selves. Damaris would need to send word to her parents before they visited so they didn't sudden think she got kicked-out of school or something.

"Yeah... The fog rolls in really thick during some seasons. I'm sure we could pick a time when it's at its thinnest to avoid getting lost in the woods." She remembered her mother accompanying her when they went out in search of herbs and vegetables for their families dinner.

"Yes... T-That was... A difficult time for the village. Should be fine now though." Her parents had kept her and her sisters sheltered during 'the curse'.

The blinking of the slides moving once again caught the eye of the doe-like ghoul as she focused once more on what the teacher was conveying to the classroom.

Damaris would sincerely hope she would never have to be stuck in such a situation. Being stuck in the human world... What an ill-fortunate fate that would be!

A pop quiz...?

'Oh, there had been mention of one, hadn't there...?' A quick thought before she delved to the back of the coloring book to find the questions she was mean't to answer

They were interesting questions... But they made sense. And the Terron seemed rather satisfied with her answer, a clear smile spread across her face. She was hopeful in succeeding in one of her many classes she was to attend.

As much as she detested her father interfering with her life... She did miss her home. Just as Damaris was speaking to AJ about them visit her, The Peryton started to remember her own native lands in the mountains. Among the snow-capped peaks... In her father's castle...

Perhaps she should plan her own trip home. Maybe on a holiday or something...

Her wings flinched at the slides moving as she straightened up from resting her chin on her fist. 'Visiting the human world...'

Aureole was more often than not instructed to never trespass onto such lands, especially with how young she was. She knew of their races' history with humans... And it would be in her best interest to try and stay a good distance from them. Til she grew up, of course. But this was good to know.

Never know when one might find themselves stuck in such a place!

She skittered the pages of her coloring book til she came to the appointed section and began filling out and circling her answers.

Aureole circled the last answer and beamed down at her book, knowing that she did good before preening her wings a little. A common habit she had since when she was a child... And often a tell tale sign to her father that she had done something she was proud of. Good or bad.

As some of the students seemed to be finishing up their questions or just beaming with victory, Silannas was viciously tapping the end of her pen as she scanned the questions over and over... It wasn't her fault that the scenery outside had been just a tad distracting!

She would bring her pen tip to one of the questions before resuming the drumming of her pen against the hard surface of her desk. Silannas had answered the first one with ease. She was fairly certain humans thought with 'A Brain' as she, herself, was certain to have one and often thought with it.

Maybe.

The second one seemed to be stumping her rather terribly though. The last one of the multiple choice answers was a recommendation she had been given via the teacher but she could clearly remember which of the others were ones the teacher had and hadn't mentioned or had been on that ridiculously long list of books she had seen when she had entered the room.

Going with her gut instinct, she circled 'b) Human Toilets and You, A True Mystery'. It looked like the only odd one out of the bunch in the listing. Her teeth gnawed on the end of her writing utensil before skipping down to the next question. It wouldn't do her any good to dwell too much one any of the questions.

Next! Should you talk to a human if you are still a learning student? Probably not. Sil hadn't thought it was a good idea as she always kept a good distance from humans. Good, another easy question! She aptly circled the NO.

The current... What? How would she know this!? Silannas's crystal-like gaze blinked several times down at the question before randomly circling d) Sir Meekly . The Reaper was sure she was wrong but oh well. She could say that she at least tried...?

Ah! This one she knew! She had paid enough attention within the last few bits of the lecture as it had to do with the portals to the human world. One of the things she was actually very curious about when she had heard that there was going to be a class about humans. A quick scribble of an S.O.S was the finally answer she put down to complete the quiz.

That had been a little too stressful for one of her first classes!

The lecture on portals and exiting and entering went over Sludge's head, leaving the xenomorph looking stupefied. At least when they were asked to open the coloring in books to the test he had...some idea of what was going on, and what the questions meant. The big slides made it easier for him to remember some answers, but others he had no idea on so he had to guess.

Carlos moped over the clear answer. No riddles. he would do them anyways, your rules had no effect over mad cat. No. He was cat. And cats did what they wanted. If he wanted to riddle he would.

but Carlos said non of this. instead he turned his coloring book diligently to the back. answer questions? this was sort of like riddles. Carlos was pleased.

Carlos didn't remember all the answers so he just guessed. But he remembered a few, and those he wrote down with glee. Especially, yes yes do talk to humans. He totally remembered that.

Satisfied he tore out the page and turned it in. The rest was coming home with him.

"Glad to hear that." AJ said, it was great she had a home to go back to. For him, returning to the oasis was not an option at all. He guessed Damaris's homeland would be a pleasant place to visit. He made a rare bitter smile when students' attention were again dragged back to the screen. The answers from the professor to different students showed only one thing - how hard she was trying to hide the fact that hunters existed from them. He pondered over whether hunter shall be a taboo to students.

AJ was excited that the professor finally talked about something piqued his interest. Having a chance to go to human world would be an amazing thing for the adventurous boil. He paid extra attention and even wrote down the name of the handbook mentioned so that he could search it in the library later.

As for the pop quiz, the boil arched an eyebrow and requested for a new one since his was having a bad term with another head. "AJ, I can answer this as well? Right? Right!" The head stared at the page with widened eyes. AJ gave it a look and laughed, "Sure, why not?" The head cheered and shoved itself next to the boil. "I KNOW! I know this one! It'sssssssssssssssss BRAIN!" Apparently the head had no idea what a quiz supposed to mean.

"AJ, there's no ALL OF THE ABOVE option." The head pouted. "But I never write any of those books." He stroked it affectionately and agreed that it was a tricky question. The "I" in the question could be the student or professor herself.

He quickly answered question three and paused again at the forth one. Well, if it's a matter of luck, then it didn't matter. The fifth one was a piece of cake since he listened to that part. It was interesting how time passed, the one-hour lecture was about to end.

Ace was partially listening while watching Jason's changing expressions. The succubus rolled her eyes at the professor's answer, if they wanted, they could show up in front of the students anytime. Enhanced by the bonding with their weapons, they could see halloween creatures clearly. They were no longer blurred shadows to Ace.

A light giggle escaped her full lips hearing they shall run away meeting a halloween being. False! The pre-requisite should be "normal humans" but they were not normal since the day they acquired the bond. The fear harvesting concept was, however a new thing and worthed to note. Sadly, the horseman shared a belief deviated from the traditional one, it seemed.

Being a trainee meant he still had a lot to learn, one of which was not knowing about the weak points, i.e. portals to Halloween World existed in their world. It would be a common knowledge for the experienced hunters, but not him. He wondered if he could borrow the book and requested missions to increase his chance to meet Halloween creatures.

He picked up a red crayon and finished his quiz swiftly, took him remaining time to draw red hearts all over the page. When he's done, he turned to Jason again. "Do you have time after class?"

The Ceffyl Dwr had, all the time, distracted himself with the coloring books. Gradually his green and brown crayons had shortened much and Mellow slowly realized how violent the pictures of his coloring books were. His face paled and his body became rigid. He knew it! His conspiracy theory kicked in and became skeptical of their professor.

He flipped to the last page with his hands shaking, using his highest speed to fill in his answers and stared at the clock for the class to end. He pulled his looping scarf to hide his face under it and waited impatiently.

Lucida didn't like the tone of the professor, the spoiled ghoul didn't need anyone's permission to do anything. She narrowed her eyes and didn't put any of professor's words in her heart at all. She was too busy to tidy her pleated dress, smoothing out the creases. It was an expensive ready-to-wear from the latest collection.

However, the multiple choice questions made a smile spreaded across her pretty face. She loved taking risk and picking the correct answer from options could be a kind of gambling game.

It had been an interesting class, despite that she enjoyed interactive format like field trips more. Ignoring the misunderstandings, the class was quite meaningful and her time not wasted. Shu felt sad that making contact with them seemed to be a no-no for the young halloweeners. It made her confused for the purpose those shadows approached her since she was young, at least she knew they were the adults.

She didn't actually scared of them when they appeard in the room she was locked up. For Shu, the loneliness bled in was much more fearful than them. It was a mystery why the horsemen had such a different attitude to the traditional halloween dwellers, what a shame. The petite Asian always wanted to make friends with every one, if they accept her.

As a hunter, she could understand the hatred some of them held against halloweeners who hurt them and their love one. On the other hand, halloweeners loathed hunters for taking their friends and love one from them. Shall the two sides come to a compromise one day, was her sincere wish.

While she spaced out for the critical problem, the professor had moved to talk about something else. The portals she mentioned should be the weak points America explained to them in the camp. She was quite amazed by the number of the portals actually existed in their world, which was enough to be listed as a handbook. That meant A LOT.

She couldn't help but giggled at the image of halloweeners following the SOS rule, they'd be like ducklings crossing a road or something. That adorable impression made her smile. When the professor announced there would be a quiz, she became a bit anxious. All the time, she tried to be a good student in school to impress her parents but she wasn't the clever type. The word "quiz" had the magic to make her uneasy, Shu took a deep breathe to relax and began to answer hers.

The quiz wasn't difficult, but couldn't be said as easy at the same time. There were two questions that she had no confidence on and tried her luck. Since she did rather well, she hoped to pass it with flying colors. The nervousness caught her non-existing tail and could be seen from her stepping legs. It was an intriguing sensation when she wanted to flip her mermaid tail. Is that what some people called the memory of the body? She thought the cartoon or animation had exaggerated in order to create funny scenes. She now understood the urge was incredibly genuine.

Lure had been forced to get a second coloring book, (which they also could not eat which was such a shame really. Books for coloring in were fun to fight after the initial shock of them fighting back was gone). Having to listen to the professor, the demon remained silent through the question and answer as well, they really didn’t have any questions nor did they actually pay all too close of attention to the main things aside from don’t attack the human directly. Just stalk them like you were hunting them. Stalk them like prey but do not… try to eat them. Just act like you might? It wasn’t a whole lot of sensical to the wilderness demon but hey, if rules were words fair enough. They could not very well fight the system. Well, yes they could but it would end badly. Even a demon who did not live around many others understood that fair enough.

When the professor said there was to be a quiz, Lure blinked. Why a quiz? That was so boring could they not just go and practice? On live humans or some such? It seemed so boring to just take a quiz. Maybe Lure, mused, they could try to eat the quiz. It was worth a shot at the very least.

Opening their mouth they stopped short. Eating another book and fight might get them in trouble. So with a heavy sigh...

The demon circled what they assumed was right.

Eva grimaced when the professor simply ignored her question. (She had even written it in pretty font too! Perhaps too fancy???!!) She sighed. Next time she'll forego the fanciness and just write in all caps or something.

Pop quiz? Great. She turned her coloring book to the last page.

The first one was easy. The Brain, duh. (She had drawn a nice figure of it after all.)

The second gave her a bit of a pause. What? The list of books on the syllabus was ridiculously long--there was no way that she could remember if these had been on there or not! Whatever. She circled the toilets one since that looked the strangest.

She quickly circled 'No', for the third question.

Then she paused again for the fourth one. Her face scrunched up. How was she supposed to know who was on the town council? It wasn't like any of them were particularly good looking. She randomly circled "Howlsalot."

For the fifth, she quickly wrote down "SOS". K done.

No one wanted to give Crimson any blood. Not a single person had been kind enough to relinquish the precious fluid and so- The reaper moped. He moped long and hard through the lecture, slowly sinking into their seat as they contemplated how come no one ever wanted to share blood with them. It wasn’t like they could put it back once it was out of the body. Well okay to be fair a few monsters and demons and mages could put it back but most could not and that was beside the point. All Crimson had wanted was a bit of blood. Was that really too much to ask?

Apparently so according to their peers. Free blood samples was just too much to ask. Fussing back and forth in their seat, the blood mage huffed as their familiar started to grow agitated at Crimson’s childish behavior. True, it was no way for a proper blood mage to behave but the reaper of blood just wanted blood. Not blood of a familiar. One could only experiment with one type of blood for so long before it became boring after all. Coloring in the coloring book (inside the lines in every shade of red that they could get their blackened fingers on), the reaper still tried to listen and be a good student in that sense and nodded on occasion as the professor explained humans and their bits.

It actually was interesting because humans had lost of blood, they knew this because humans were messy according to other books. Blood was very important to them and if they lost too much they hurt bad and couldn’t just fill up on blood. They did not work like FEAR blood borne beings. Crimsion was not sure. The elder mages just said not to try and remove all human blood. Bad things would happen.

At the last page Crimson looked back and forth at the professor, wondering why put a quiz in a coloring book.

They answered none the less using the red crayon.
Because Blood.

TG had lost all concentration after the concussion he suffered from falling off the desk top and had just been staring at his coloring book cover as colors swam in and out and then, very slowly, deciding to draw boobs on each and ever figure.

By the time he was near finished, he was told to flip to the end where there was an actual test. What?!

Grumbling, he stared down at the questions and just filled in whatever. At least he was here for attendance.

The problem with being in a golem was that you were in a body that was not your own. It was clumsy as you shuffled along trying to get the motor skills right and when the weapon in your head just made really annoying noises it did not help at all. It was actually perhaps worse because the weapon was like a back-seat driver in a manual car when all you have ever driven all your life was an automatic. It was unhelpful and rather than making things even bearable, just worsened the situation and overall experience.

Slow deep breaths, Elio told himself. Slow, even, deep breaths. He just had to hold out in this so called class, report back, do some write up and then he could call it good. Nothing to it right? The man just wanted it to be over and done with. Blankly starting at the slides and the so called ‘professor’, (he doubted Halloween even had a higher form of education, they were woefully bad with basic education apparently so it would not have surprised him if their post-secondary was just as bad if not worse or non-existent.).

Tapping crayon to paper, the sea serpent body betrayed him just a bit, the long-coiled tail flicking back and forth much like a feline on edge. Elio didn’t like staying still unless it was for performance art. This also was just painful. Like a room full of fools listening to the master of fools, the village idiot blather on.

Halloween really had no idea how humans worked did they? They were just so.. stupid. So willfully ignorant it was near sickening. As he followed along and looked at the quiz he blanched. More rubbish. His mission report was going to look like a damn joke.

Donovan continued to look bored as he slowly turned the pages of his coloring book to the last one. He didn't really care too much about this class, but ... points were points. He would make some effort to remember the right answers.

Yes it was the title of a human song, it seemed appropriate. He'd heard one of the other Spectres back home talking about human music at one point.
