Mine was Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It was pretty good for a book of that level; rather amusing. I'm currently reading it again, along with four other French books. >.<

What was your first foreign book?

I can't remember what my first "book" was! crying

I'll take a good guess and say that it was an Inuyasha or Cardcaptor Sakura manga.

My first novel without any pretty pictures was Winnie the Pooh in Japanese. I'm currently only on my second attempt at a novel in another language--which is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Japanese.

Cool, mine was The Little Prince, too (I speak English as a second language).
I'd love to read it in Arabic some day. smile And in French, when I learn it. smile

Hmm, I couldn't wait for the French translation of the 6th Harry Potter book so I bought it and read it in English, without any problems heart ...

Why waiting for 5 months while you have the sequel of the story by your hand ? rolleyes

My first is pretty unusual, I found it in Inverness (Scotland): "Taliesin" by S. Lawhead - I like fantasy: M.Z. Bradley, T.Brooks, Tolkien and so on...
The first book of poetry was a collection of E. Dickinson's poems

My first book apart from the twenty-pages little books from my English Academy was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

And my second one was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince, which I was able to buy as soon as it came out because I happened to be in Ireland at the time. XD
