Shikashieru, or should I say Rinka, would waver for a brief second, almost teetering off balance, before regaining their composure. A few quick blinks and a panicked scan of the room were all that followed. What was this vile sorcery? Was Rinka back in Kiri? When? How? No, no, no, this wasn't right! She needed to be with Tsuki. Rinka gave a more deliberate scan of her surroundings, spinning in place as she desperately tried to locate the swordswoman. Nothing. She tried to take a step back, but found herself taking a step that ended way too early that she was used to. She stumbled over herself, only catching her descent on a nearby table edge. As she did, Rinka caught sight of a most horrific visage; her body was gone. Well, gone might be the wrong word to use here. Really it had been replaced or swapped somehow. The oni desperately patted her chest, moving her hands all over her body, and found all her old features had been replaced by that of man. The true horror of the situation didnt set in until she patted the top of her head. Oh no... "My... my horns are gone..." she'd mutter to herself, repeatedly. Rinka might not have had much of a personal connection with much of her clan, but she had always took pride in her oni heritage. Losing her horns was like losing a limb to a regular person; a fundamental part of her being had been stripped from her. Full blown panic took over and Rinka finally snapped, collapsing to the floor and beginning to cry, all the while completely ignoring the boy before her.

She had made it to the office with her Bun in tow, holding his hand and getting him to their destination like any doting mother would; although it was odd since Kaneko didn't know whether she would be his mother or father? She didn't feel like explaining it for now so she would let Akoto continue to believe that Kaneko had a gender. There was already two people in the office, one crying on the ground. She kept Akoto close, not caring who these people were or why one was on the ground.

Being tugged inside of the office alongside Kaneko, Akoto would have ceased the majority of his tears for quite some time, now feeling much better than before thanks to the comforting of his close friend. As soon as they entered the office, it appeared that they had a few people with them. The most active one was an older male than Akoto was. Furrowing his brows in concern, he broke from Kaneko's grasp to walk up to the crying boy. If he were to look up, the man would see a similar well built male child gently patting hi head. "I-It's okay." The child said, moving to hug the man's head before stepping away. "Wha-What's wrong? Can we h-help in any way, sir?" Akoto would frown, clearly quite worried about the crying boy in front of them even if Kaneko might have appeared annoyed or upset at the actions of her Bun.

Rinka's sobbing slowly petered out as she tried best to think of how to answer the boy's question. What was wrong? She didn't even know how to where to begin, or even if she herself understood what was going on. Still, it was best to at least try... right? Rinka wiped her eyes and took a deep breath in an attempt to collect herself. "This isn't my body..." She muttered, rubbing the spots where her horns once were. I know it's not much to go on, but how else could she describe it? One moment Rinka was her usual self, and the next... well...
tab Sora finally made his way up to the top of the giant, scary-looking tree where the Mizukage's office resided. He was exhausted from the travel, not only having to reach the top of the tree, but the aimless wandering he had done beforehand being too shy to ask for directions. Masa, a slightly larger than average white tiger cub followed closely at his side. The furball of endless energy wasn't even phased by their long trek up the tree. In fact, she appeared a little more energetic than before. Her tail was swishing from side to side with excitement for the new journey that laid ahead of them and the individuals standing before them.
The duo was met with a small crowd of people inside the office: A male who appeared to be distressed, a young red-haired boy who appeared to be his age, and another young boy accompanied by their mother. Or so, Sora would assume, by the way she kept him close to her. It only resurfaced memories of the time spent with his mother back home. How much she cared for him, the songs she used to sing to put him to sleep or cheer him up when he was sad... All of which would remain merely memories if he couldn't reunite with her once again. Sora turned his focus elsewhere, tugging on the sleeve of his kimono to try and distract himself from the pang of sadness overcoming him. Now that they were here... Who was it they were supposed to talk to? "E-excuse me..." Attempting to make their presence known, he spoke. It wasn't very audible at all unfortunately; Masa could have done much better with a mewl.

On his hip was his massive nodachi, his palm resting on the tip of it as if it was second nature to him. It seemed that Kiri was going through.....something. Shen wasn't the type to ask what it was. Instead the large man took his position in what could be called a line, or perhaps better suited to be called a mob, and waited his turn to get to the receptionist. Being able to train soon was a good thought, not that it reflected at all in his face.

All of these people seemed to be wrapped up in....something, he wouldn't be one to ask.
With his new headband now put around his waist as a belt he headed back out the door, intent on heading towards the fields.

"N-Not your body?" Akoto repeated, a bit astounded at what she had just heard. How on earth was this man not in his body? That was impossible by any kind of normal means. Unable to know much of how such a phenomenon would take place, the boy would continue to softly hug the crying male. "Eh-It's okay. I'll help somehow. Please don't cry." Akoto would continue to comfort the older male before hearing the ever so soft sound of a voice nearby. Spinning on his heel, the boy would come face to face with a sullen looking boy around his age or so. He offered the best smile he could manage, and walked forward. "Hi. Uh, sorry! S-Something's kinda happened. I'm AKoto, by the way..."

Kaneko sighed, would they really be helping this person while they haven't solved their own mess yet? Wait, did she say it wasn't her body? This had to be connected to what was happening!"That's why we are here! Something changed my sweet little Akoto into a boy! I-I also am feeling strange but I didn't change genders or bodies...I-I just feel like I need to smother Akoto...."She sighed, they needed to find a way to fix this or ride it out before kaneko could wrap Akoto in bubble wrap fixed with knee pads and a helmet. Now another child entered, he had to be around Akoto's age, he also had a small cub with him, how cute but since Kaneko hadn't met him yet, she wouldn't dare let him get too close to Akoto or...whatever the other person was.

Sora and Masa
tab The little tiger tamer looked on with his brows slightly furrowed in confusion. He hadn't been in this village for very long, and the people were already starting to come off as somewhat odd. The man crying--now being comforted by the young boy--was upset because he was... not in his body. Masa took it upon herself to approach and examine the man. Circling around him once, giving him a good sniff, and then returning to Sora with a puzzled expression. The boy turned to Sora, who was actually surprised that he was heard, taking a step back in shock. Something was going on in this village, but what? After introducing himself as Akoto, Sora tilted his head to the side. "Oh... I'm Sora... And this is... Masa." He leaned down to pet his beloved companion on the head, who in turn purred softly before looking at Akoto.
Akoto's mother believed that something within this strange village turned her child into a boy, and forced her to become overprotective of him. "U-um..." It was starting to get a little chaotic in here, and Sora was just a tick away from just bolting out of the door. He took a few more steps back, looking to Masa for some comfort, who was now busy examining Akoto and his mother curiously. If everyone in this village was being changed somehow... what on earth could happen to them if they stayed too long?
"You're... a girl?" He asked Akoto, looking even more confused. He definitely didn't have many feminine traits, and looked very much like a boy to Sora.
Rinka quickly calmed herself through the warmth of Akoto's hug. Her sobs softened and she was eventually able to compose herself enough to actually listen in to the other arrivals. It seemed like she wasn't the only one who wasn't exactly who they were supposed to be. "I'm Rinka..." She wasn't exactly sure if anyone knew of her, but maybe it would help get her point across that she wasn't.... whoever this was
What happened next was, extremely odd, he swore...there was a pleasant smell in the air. Haji'd been looking off to the side, his senses had him on guard. His eyes came back to Kyou's, he could feel a tingley weirdness, his face blushing as he gulped. That's when Kyou seemed to lose balance out of nowhere, he cocked his head to the side, watching him close. The Shinobi was acting terribly strange. Then Kyou spun around, as if trying to find someone. Haji' took a few steps back, a strange feeling was telling him to hug him, to...to try and calm him down? He shook his head hard, that was weird! "W-Wha-H-Horns? You haven't had horns!?" He yelped out, only to hop back in fright, Kyou was crying now, and flopped on the ground like a child. "What is going on?!"
Around that time Kaneko had slipped in, Haji' cocked his head towards her with a look in his eyes that practically begged for help. Then he noticed the boy with her, maybe it was whatever was going on but, he was still blushing at Akoto. He gulped, maybe that was normal? Haji at least knew he had zero feelings like this only moments ago. He wasn't used to emotions like this, he was fairly young and he still had more important things to do than dote on girls or boys! For now he seemed to be staying back, way too confused on what was going on and these dumb, weird emotions!
Now out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sora approaching, and that pretty kitty that followed him! Another, dare he think it, cute boy!? His mind was awash with confusion, why did he think three boys in this very same room were all of a sudden cute, why does his face turn bright red when he looks at Kyou. He gulped hard, trying to stay vigilant, and calm. But to everyone else he'd just be standing their, nervous and blushing. He watched Sora and Akoto greet each other. At hearing Kaneko's words he gave a nodded a bunch, totally in agreement. "I-I feel...uh...really weird too!" Haji' points a finger at Kyou and continues. "I-I feel like I ne-need to kiss him, and that's just weird! Right? Right!?" Then a finger points at Sora, then Akoto. "And I think you two are cute, this is all wrong!? I'm so confused!" He seems to be stark raving mad at this point, and sort of starts to hug himself.

From the looks of things, it seemed that this new person that Akoto had never seen before had remained untouched by the Sero's effects. He looked at him a little while longer while trying to put together what made him resistant in the boy's head. In the meantime, her hands would continue to comfort the tall and brooding male that had been put in another body. The man that Akoto had found himself hugging to comfort had been sniffed by the small tiger who remained close to the golden haired boy. They introduced themselves to him and everyone nearby. His name was Sora, followed along by the tiger cub Masa. It was a pretty cute name for the small pet. Akoto smiled at him while looking back at Kaneko to see if she had strangled somebody for so much as looking at her precious Bun Bun wrong, before then nodding her head towards the two in approval. "It's nice to meet you two. The woman behind me is Kaneko, and this man is...somebody." After Kaneko's outburst about wanting to suffocate him with hugs and protection, the boy turned back and rubbed the back of his neck. Boy, how was he going to explain this? "Sorry, Sora and Rinka. You seem t-to have kind of arrived at a bad time. The petals began to fall a little while ago, and ever since a l-lot of stuff is happening. I used to be a girl before all of this. S-Sorry if my new form bothers you." Akoto apologized, as he always did. Even before this event, if he accidentally forgot somebody's name, they would receive a swarm of apologies in compensation.
It wouldn't be until the red headed boy spoke up that Akoto would notice him. He seemed to be extremely concerned for Haji, though in a way that was similar to how Kaneko was involved with Akoto. He could recognize that his actions all were being led by anxiety and worry. Everything about him was screaming how uncomfortable he was, though she wouldn't blame him. Everyone in here had a right to be full of worry. With no official or anything around to take charge, Akoto cleared her breath and did her best to lead like Ink-chan. He exclaimed how he thought Rinka's body was cute, something that seemed incredibly awkward in its current form. "That's...very weird." He agreed. Akoto would then step a little closer to the red haired child, doing his best to calm him down. "Ah-It's, er, okay. If The Sero is doing this, maybe th-there's a way we can make it stop! Or maybe it will stop on it's own..." Being a leader when there were no solid answers available certainly was hard!

tab Whatever was going on, it affected either the gender, body, or emotions of those in the village. That was what he gathered from the woman named Kaneko, who apparently wasn't Akoto's mother...? Sora had calmed down quite a bit once Akoto started to explain how all of this chaos came to be. The petals. Sora remembered petals falling when he left the Academy, which he found strange considering the type of environment they were in. The petals hadn't had any effect on him, nor Masa, that he was aware of. A gender swap would be nearly impossible with his androgynous features, and he wasn't feeling anything related to what some of those in the office were experiencing. He even tapped his own hand to make sure he was still listening to Akoto from his own body. Masa on the other hand, showed no distress of anything happening to her, and was acting like her usual hyper-active and curious self. Sora simply shrugged at Akoto's apology. Her--his, new form wasn't all that disturbing. He'd never seen Akoto in his original feminine form, and until now he had assumed Akoto was born a male.
The sudden shout from the red-haired boy was enough to scare Sora into a fright. He looked on, a mixture of confusion and horror in his face, at the blushing boy on the ground. What was wrong with him!? He appeared to be incredibly distressed and confused... maybe it had something to do with the petals? He suddenly had the urge to kiss the male who called himself Rinka. A man who clearly had to be twice his age, if not a little more or less. Either way, he was definitely too old to be kissing a child. And what was this boy doing thinking about stuff like that in the first place!? As if that wasn't enough, his attention was now on Akoto and himself. He found them cute, but he felt extremely confused about it. His odd behavior and constant shouting was making Sora very nervous, and scared. "H-huh...?" Tears welled in his eyes, though he fought to keep himself from crying completely. All of this was very strange to him. Akoto mentioned something about Sero, and with the creepy vibes Sora was already getting from this village and its people, the first thought that came to mind was... Sero must be a monster!
"...Wh-wh-what's a... Sero? Why... is it doing... this?" His voice was shaky, and nearly a whisper as he looked towards the door, then back at Akoto. Sensing her master's fear, Masa quickly came back to his side, allowing him to cling to her torso. She stood in front of him defensively, her gaze bouncing from every single individual in the room making sure no one was going to try anything funny... and to possibly defend her master from Sero. Whatever it was.

Kaneko was confused...did people think she was Akoto's mother? A woman? Someone with reproductive parts and able to give birth? No! She shook her head, thinking it was best to address that later and alone with Akoto. For now they needed to find out what was happening and how to stop it and she had a pretty good guess and who to go to for such trouble."Calm down, all of you, we can't just sit this out, even if this has become normal for most. The Sero is the tree we live in, it tends to do strange things once in awhile...clearly something is wrong, we have people in different bodies and switching genders and becoming obsessed with others."She couldn't give an idea of how to fix this either, they wasn't any villian this time. Or at least they hadn't revealed themselves yet which was just as annoying as how obsessed she was over Akoto."I think its best if we search the village, try to find whatever is doing this and see how we can put a stop to it."It was better than staying in the office and to doing anything.
