[OPEN CLASS] Valentines 101 (Leva)

Gift giving was not something that Leva was all to familiar with. For one thing, she was used to just taking what she wanted and not paying too much mind to anyone else. Beads that she would take and make necklaces out of. Chains that decorated her dorm room and glittered in the candle light. Candles, because who did not adore heavily scented candles burning and driving away unwanted guests, (or just permeating your clothes with the smell of freshly brewed potion). Leva took and took, and never thought twice about it. Of course this wasn't to say she was a theif. She did BUY things when at the mall but if if was not in a store and just laying around? Fair game. Drop it, and it was going to find it's way into her talons.
So to GIVE gifts, and get gifts- sure she knew in theory how one was supposed to go about it, but for her it wasn't all that big of a deal. She just would do it, provided it did something for her. Candy, cards- in the sense of valentines day, she was more than just at a loss, she was confused.
Wasn't a better way to show you loved someone to bit their skull or give them a dead body? That was how most displays of affection, courtship and love when for her people. Well, that and making contracts and trying to make one's horde bigger while not making it so big to bully your potential lover or mate.
Card making? Alien. And not the banned from halloween kind.

Taking the paper in hand, she carefully folded it over along with the corners, trying not to tear it with her claws. A rather difficult attempt to say the least. It was slow to come together but when it did, she was rather impressed with herself. A perfectly made card. Nothing too fancy and well. She was just glad she hadn't ripped anything.

Gathering her materials and supplies, she frowned at her selection. Blood, fur, exoskeleton bits and meat- none of that was to be used or even included. How in the name of all things draconic was she supposed to make a fitting card now? It was just impossible. Not to mention a pain in her rear. Sure she could in theory use what was given but where was the fun in that? Oh right, this was all valentines. Fun in traditional halloween was not allowed. Bah. She was just wanting to understand how this was supposed to win her over a mate. As her growing card mess grew, so did Leva's doubts.

The next problem facing leva was the fact she was expected to fit her card into it's envelope. On premise this should have been easy. That was, in premise. But alas, it wasn't so. she would be forced to attempt to stuff it in. Which of course, resulted in a torn envelope.

Torn envelope thrown aside she quickly grabbed another, attempting the same thigh. But just like her first attempt, it was a wash, the paper of the envelope tearing under her talons and needing to be tossed away, just like her card. She'd have to start over.

Starting over wasn't too difficult. Just grab some paper and make another card. Easy as pie. If pie was easy that is.

More supplies, still not what she wanted were grabbed and this time, put on in a much more.. robust fusion. Her desire to have artistic integrity was low.

Now came the fun part, forcing the poor card into an envelope. It didn't work so she tried again.

As it failed again, she just stood up and walked out.

She started over with her card.

Grabbed materials.

Made her card and then attempted to shove it into an envelope.

It failed. So-

She was forced yet again to start over.  

[iStoleYurVamps]

This time, she attempted to me more careful with her card.

And would you look at that- It worked.
