Patrick was checking in on the store as usual, the schedule of the openings and closings weren’t stable as of yet, but it wasn’t hurting the business short term wise. The store phone rings while he is getting ready to leave out. The call went straight to the messages after the several rings. He checks it as he is about to head out and the voice he hears sends chills down his spine and breaks out in cold sweat as he recognizes it belonging to the stalker who kidnapped and tortured him and is supposed to be in jail right now waiting for trial. He groaned at the memories and shook after the messages, to sum up why the man called was to taunt and frighten the last victim that survived. Patrick did initially agree to show up for court knowing he would have to face his attacker to give his testimony and he almost changed his mind if it weren’t for the resolve to do all he can to make sure the other faces justice for his crimes and has done to the previous victims. With the recording of the message in hand he stopped by the police station and handed it over to the detective in charge of the case.

Heard from the ferryman that Saeki was already on the island and it was a relief to hear that he was trying to reach him by phone on the way to the ferry. Despite how he wanted to seem calm, he couldn’t help anxiously pacing during the ride thinking about how the stalker found about his shop, let alone the number to the phone. Hopefully the man won’t have any future access to a phone to make another attempt to intimidate him. Patrick was one of the first few to get off as soon as the ferry docked then went searching for his fiancée thinking he was nearby. Which he was, on the beach, and Patrick hugged him tightly after getting their attention and approaching them. His expression on his face did give away to his mood and he kept quiet about the reason behind it for now. Just seeing that his beloved is safe and sound is what he wanted his mind to focus on this very moment.

Saeki took a few last breathing exercises to end his short Tai Chi workout and as he stretched his mind wandered to Patrick as it often did. He hoped that his beloved wasn’t trying to call him on his phone. It was so unlike Saeki to forget to bring it with him. But he had this time, it was still on the table back home. Once finished with the after stretch, the Asian wandered back over the beach to be close to the ferry when it docked. When he got the docks in view, however, it looked like it had already arrived. Saeki looked over at the people gathering and it didn’t take long before he noticed his fiancée as one of the first to step on the beach. A smile played over his lips as he saw them drawing his attention and he waved back before he ran the last few stretches to the docks.

When Patrick hugged him tightly the moment they were near enough, it surprised the young man, but it didn't take long before he hugged them back and gave them a kiss on their neck before he pulled back a little, his hand on their cheeks lightly as he looked up at them. They hugged asap more often, but this was even more than that. Looking up at them, Saeki tilted his head, something felt off. "Are you alright sweetheart?" he asked, slightly worried. Was this because he had forgotten his mobile? Had Patrick tried to call without an answer and worried something had happened? Saeki hoped not, his beloved was still recuperating from the last incident.

Patrick loosen his grip on him as soon as the other pulled back. Gaze into the others eyes without looking away and tilt his head a little in the direction of face being touched also. He shook his head a little to the question, “Honestly no” responded dryly. Looking over his shoulder, he could see that the remaining passengers were getting off the ferry and other people in the vicinity. “Let’s go somewhere else first” he said then let go of Saeki and started walking to the forest. He held onto one of the other’s hand firmly yet not tightly in case his partner needed to pull away. He could have said it right there, but he stopped himself when he thought of someone watching them who is in cahoots with the stalker hearing them. Didn’t think he could be too cautious after what happened earlier. Not quite to the point of paranoia , but the amount of people he trusts can be counted on one hand. Once they were far from the beach and came across a meadow of spring flowers, he decided to come clean about his troubles there. Because he doesn’t want to hide anything from Saeki and that he wants him to stay in the loop on what is going on with the stalker case considering it will affect him too. As for the forest date, it could happen afterwards in this very meadow where they are away from everyone else.

Sat down by the flowers, “When I was getting ready to leave the shop, the phone rang and when the answer machine played the message his voice came out of it. There was no mistaking it for someone else’s voice, wish I could forget” he said frowning. Fingers fiddling with the petals of the nearby flowers to keep his hands busy. Take a deep breathe then exhales heavily, “Whether it was pre-recorded message or an actual phone call from him, I don’t think it was random attempt to intimidate his victim so I sent a copy of it to the detective and hopefully there won’t be a repeat offense by that deranged man” he said and looked to his beloved as he stopped playing with the flowers. Placed a hand over his heart, “I’m not gonna fib. I did feel worried and anxious when I wasn’t able to contact you by phone and that something bad happened to you because of him, I-” he cut himself with a hand over his mouth and pursed his lips shut stopping himself. He thought he might speak something into existence if he kept going and completely sour the mood of their date which is something is would very much like to avoid not just for Saeki's sake.
