[OPEN CLASS] Valentines 102 (Crimson)

Crimson did not understand the allure of paper hearts that did not bleed nor were anatomically accurate. They didn't quite grasp the whole purpose of them. Now, at another class, Crimson was left at a further point of not understanding just what drove Valentines to be as backwards as it was. Chocolate was well and good but this? This was just gross. Truffles, mushrooms, were perfectly fine on their own. Both for consumption and for potions and for poisons and other such things. Like decomposing a body so no one would find it. (They liked that best. It was such a fun project to record how long it took and seeing all the bio matter break apart). Still, holding up the mushroom, Crimson figured it was as good as any other treat in Halloween. Its not like they wanted them to injest sparkles.

Having to ruin perfectly good mushrooms for the sake of cheap chocolate made no sense in a way. You could just BUY your favorite treats and then you'd save time, silver seeds, effort, and you were ensured a quality product and if you were not then you had someone to send an angry letter to and demand to speak with their manager! Just like when life gave one lemons! At least that was the growing perception that Crimson had forming given his exposure to consumerism.

Still, they figured not knowing how to do this, they would just try out the first time on some low quality ones. You know. Just in case.

Figuring that given they were using low quality truffles, (because why waste anything good on what was by nature not going to turn out good anyway), Crimson was not too picky when it came to choosing chocolates. Mostly sugar free, (because yet again they felt it was a why bother sort of issue), they did throw in some white but like any good chocolate love knew, was not REAL chocolate. It was just a byproduct or something.

Crimson assumed wizardry. Wizards, unlike mages, were much more science and technical than their kind. They and their's would stick to blood, please and thank you.
Not that blood wasn't scientific but more- organic. White chocolate wasn't? It was hard to explain but whatever, Crimson has some and they were just wanting to not muck it all up and scald themselves with the heated and liquid confections.

Mixing the chocolates all together Crimson dipped the first truffle in. It came out looking much like he expected it to. Utterly terrible and a waste.

As Crimson dipped and rolled their second truffle, it was apparent that yes, they had ******** it up as the saying went and would need to try again. Giving up, he tossed them and started over.

Grabbing truffles of a higher quality, Crimson guessed it could be possible that the low quality of their materials might be to blame so, hey better might yield a better result. If not then- well. Crimson was never going to aim to be a candy maker was all. Not that they wanted to anyway.

Taking a different selection of chocolates, the blood mage sighed. Their flavor profile would be all over but- that might help in the end right? At this point, Crimson was just hoping for the best. Or at least, not to burn themselves. That would be good too.

The moments of truth- would their truffles work?

As they did the second one it became apparent that they might not have ruined them this time.

All that remained was this last truffle.

Having failed, Crimson groaned and began all over again.

Best truffles in hand, they grabbed the chocolate.

Green Tea and sugar free chocolate in hand they dipped the first truffle.

Perfection! This one as well!

Perfect truffles completed, Crimson puffed up, proud to have gotten something decent done.
