Valentines 101
Once upon a time, humans would send one another gifts on the day of romance in attempts to curb each others favor. However, as they kept trying to outdo one another, delivery humans where suddenly bogged down by larger and larger gifts of growing complexity and possible damages. To curb the burden, the people established rules on what could go through the carrier system, and so people were required to find new ways to exchange their feelings across far distances that were not material objects. So it was that the great card revolution began!

Now however in the age of digital things, many humans as we now know communicate with things like tablets and computers. Yet the tradition remains celebrated in both the human world and in Valentines. Sending cards is a time honored art, and is taught at a very young age to humans so they know the suffering of heart break early on, a vital survival skill our esteemed holiday colleges from Valentines teach the human race. One we might later utilize as FEAR with the basis of rejection and loss.

Today you will be making cards to send to your chosen. Be they love, rival, or boss. Whoever you like. Just remember, it has to fit in the envelope at the end!

Quote:
Stage 1: Pick your Paper
Each card comes with two shape options, an incorrect heart shape, (hardly anatomical or even close to what the real thing looks like), or, just your typical 'hamburger style' folded card.

Roll 1d4 to pick your card color from the pile. Limited stock however means you have to grab whatever color is at the top of the pile. Bummer.
1- White; plain and simple
2- Pink; gross and really just an awful shade all around
3- Red; an Okay color. Maybe you can find something to make it a bit darker.
4- Black; The perfect color to reflect your love- a swirling abyss of nothing

Stage 2: Decorate your card
GLITZ! GLAM! MORE GLITTER THAN IS LEGALLY ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS! Let those creative juices flow, and reaching into the backet of supplies, take a few things to add to your card. Just be sure to use it all!
Roll 5d12- If you roll doubles well, you got a lot of that item now didn't you?

1- A bag of rainbow pompoms.
2- An assortment of pipe cleaners
3- Googly eyes of mismatched sizes
4- Tubes of glitter
5- Red, Pink, and silver glitter glue. The glue doesn't really act like glue though...
6- Scissors with patterned blades
7- Lace dollies. Only, not made our of lace. It's just paper in a doily shape with no distinct pattern.
8- Silk ribbon that is always just a tad too short
9- Crayons
10- Used Popsicle sticks. They smell of various fruit flavors.
11- Random small plastic jewels.

Stage 3: Mail it
You card completed It's time to put it in the envelope and send it off. Mailers and stamps have been provided. Lets just hope it fits!

Roll a 1d6.
Rolling a 1 or a 6 and the card will fit. You have TWO chances to get it to fit. If it doesn't, you won't be able to mail it out. And yes- At this stage ICly, it should have a recipient that it is ICly being mailed to. If you are successful, quote the player (and name which of their character) that will be getting the card.

A successful delivery, (along with quoted player) will result in your student learning an ability!

Quote:
gaia_star Sparkle Slap
Roll 1d4 for damage- this attack always connects. Can only be used once per battle. This ability cannot be 'refreshed/recharged'. Does not count as a turn.
When used, one slap or punch releases a cloud of glitter that covers both you and your opponent.
Out of battle, You hit someone/thing and there is a glitter cloud explosion. It gets everywhere.

Sidron wasn't entirely sure about this whole Valentine's Day thing. Why did there need to be a specific day in which to show your affections for someone you cared about? But it seemed like the popular thing to do. Not that he was one to go with what was the popular norm.

There were some in Halloween who disliked the notion. Others were more than happy to spend tons of pumpkin seeds in efforts to garner the attention of someone they admired. The dragon was just a bit indifferent.

But either way he had been sucked into this whole Valentine's day thing. Willing or not so much willing. He found himself in a class room of all places. The bright decorations were a bit too much for him but it was apparently the theme. In the class though there were to make paper cards to send.

That seemed easily enough.

Once it was time to choose their card's base paper he casually glanced at the limited range of colors. Finally settling on red paper. All the colors honestly reminded him of Amy but there was something about the color red being more passionate or something.

Alright. Paper picked out, folded. Ready for decorating. Sidron to be honest wasn't the great and picking out things that really went together. And there was a limited selection of things to use for decorating...

Well he would just have to make due.

Sidron grabbed three tubes of glitter glue. Carefully attempting to make what looked like lopsided hearts. Unfortunately the glue wasn't quite acting like glue. It was...kind of runny. So his lopsided hearts looked more like lumpy circles. Some how the boil ended up with bits of it on his face which gave him quite the sparkly appearance.

Next he grabbed a handful of popsicle sticks. They still had quite the fruity smell to them. Fruit and flowers smelled somewhat similar right? Nah, Amy would never be able to tell the difference. At least he hoped. Fruits came from flowers so that was obviously the same.

Ah! This card needed some googly eyes. Who didn't love googly eyes? No one Sidron knew. Maybe he could make some kind of eye pun or something on the inside of the card. He would have to keep that in mind once he got to that step.

Hell whats a little more glitter glue? Grabbing the tubes again he smeared a few streaks of it here and there. It was like the sparkly tail of shooting stars. Totally romantic.

Of course, now the glue smell was over powering the fruit smell from the popsicles so he had to add a few more just to counter balance. This card was looking better and better. Sidron was sure he could add more to make it even more awesome but then that might make it too awesome.

Sidron sat there for a moment. His chin rested on the back of his hands as he stared down at the card on the desk in front of him. It was so amazing it was almost a shame to give it up. And they wouldn't let him make another one. But who could replicate such perfection?

No one that's who.

He had used up all his creative awesomeness in this one card. It was a one and done deal. Flipping open the card he pulled out a pen snake and scribbled a little message inside before closing it. Grabbing the mailer he slowly began to stuff the card inside. Careful not to knock any of the popsicle sticks or googly eyes off.

It was an anxiety filled couple of seconds. Anything could have happened at that point and time but luck seemed to be with the dragon. His card fit and he was able to close up the mailer for it to be sent off.

Viva Viola
