Valentines 101
Once upon a time, humans would send one another gifts on the day of romance in attempts to curb each others favor. However, as they kept trying to outdo one another, delivery humans where suddenly bogged down by larger and larger gifts of growing complexity and possible damages. To curb the burden, the people established rules on what could go through the carrier system, and so people were required to find new ways to exchange their feelings across far distances that were not material objects. So it was that the great card revolution began!

Now however in the age of digital things, many humans as we now know communicate with things like tablets and computers. Yet the tradition remains celebrated in both the human world and in Valentines. Sending cards is a time honored art, and is taught at a very young age to humans so they know the suffering of heart break early on, a vital survival skill our esteemed holiday colleges from Valentines teach the human race. One we might later utilize as FEAR with the basis of rejection and loss.

Today you will be making cards to send to your chosen. Be they love, rival, or boss. Whoever you like. Just remember, it has to fit in the envelope at the end!

Quote:
Stage 1: Pick your Paper
Each card comes with two shape options, an incorrect heart shape, (hardly anatomical or even close to what the real thing looks like), or, just your typical 'hamburger style' folded card.

Roll 1d4 to pick your card color from the pile. Limited stock however means you have to grab whatever color is at the top of the pile. Bummer.
1- White; plain and simple
2- Pink; gross and really just an awful shade all around
3- Red; an Okay color. Maybe you can find something to make it a bit darker.
4- Black; The perfect color to reflect your love- a swirling abyss of nothing

Stage 2: Decorate your card
GLITZ! GLAM! MORE GLITTER THAN IS LEGALLY ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS! Let those creative juices flow, and reaching into the backet of supplies, take a few things to add to your card. Just be sure to use it all!
Roll 5d12- If you roll doubles well, you got a lot of that item now didn't you?

1- A bag of rainbow pompoms.
2- An assortment of pipe cleaners
3- Googly eyes of mismatched sizes
4- Tubes of glitter
5- Red, Pink, and silver glitter glue. The glue doesn't really act like glue though...
6- Scissors with patterned blades
7- Lace dollies. Only, not made our of lace. It's just paper in a doily shape with no distinct pattern.
8- Silk ribbon that is always just a tad too short
9- Crayons
10- Used Popsicle sticks. They smell of various fruit flavors.
11- Random small plastic jewels.

Stage 3: Mail it
You card completed It's time to put it in the envelope and send it off. Mailers and stamps have been provided. Lets just hope it fits!

Roll a 1d6.
Rolling a 1 or a 6 and the card will fit. You have TWO chances to get it to fit. If it doesn't, you won't be able to mail it out. And yes- At this stage ICly, it should have a recipient that it is ICly being mailed to. If you are successful, quote the player (and name which of their character) that will be getting the card.

A successful delivery, (along with quoted player) will result in your student learning an ability!

Quote:
gaia_star Sparkle Slap
Roll 1d4 for damage- this attack always connects. Can only be used once per battle. This ability cannot be 'refreshed/recharged'. Does not count as a turn.
When used, one slap or punch releases a cloud of glitter that covers both you and your opponent.
Out of battle, You hit someone/thing and there is a glitter cloud explosion. It gets everywhere.

This Valentine's day holiday was a strange thing. While Malik had read a little about it, he had no idea it was this involved. Strange chocolate, making these weird little cards, it was all so very new to him. His parents were very traditional in the sense they never did anything that wasn't Halloween related. That meant no strange holidays from other lands. They'd hate being sent a strange misshapen card such as the one he was making, but he wasn't sure who else to send it to. He could maybe send it to Brute. They were friends now, right? Though the other boil would most likely eat whatever he made. There was also Magda. She would maybe appreciate how horrifying and just plain odd the card was. It seemed right up her alley almost. Whatever the case was, he would just have to make the best card ever and then decide on what to do with it! While red really wasn't his color, he could make it work somehow. Maybe if he colored it in or dipped it in something it would make it darker. While it would never be a beautiful green shade, it could at least strive to be the best little card it could be.

6- Scissors with patterned blades
1- A bag of rainbow pompoms.

Now it was time to do the decorating! What an exciting thing to do. He didn't understand why he needed to decorate it when it was already red enough, but he wouldn't question any of it. Before he could decorate it he had to gather the supplies though. There were some weird looking rainbow colored things. They looked fuzzy and edible, but he doubted they were. He somehow ended up with two whole bags of the things, and he honestly wasn't sure what to do with all of them. He could cover the card in them. Maybe stick some inside of it too. Maybe roll some under the table so he didn't have to use as many. He'd just need to dig around for more decorations before he really decided what to do. Next thing he ended up pulling out were some scissors with odd patterns. Did the patterns mean something? Were they a sign of some sort? Or were they really just meant to put weird designs in the card? What a curious thing they were. He had some horrendous glitter and very odd googly eyes he could add as well. If he added enough eyes to the card it could even look like a beholder or some other terrifying monster! He was excited by the aspect of this and made sure to glue as many eyes onto the little rainbow pompoms as he was able to. It was only natural to make this look truly scary. The human holiday was much better in the hands of Halloween creatures, at least he thought so anyway. They had much more exciting flair than the odd hearts and pink colors. They had the fierce googly eyes and oranges and other fearsome things. Much more creative than any other human thing. Now that he added said eyes and pompoms, it was on to the glitter. He poured a very large amount over the card, pleased with how it sparkled in the light. All of the glitter would make the card much more interesting. Like a small party on a piece of paper. He chuckled at that thought, pulling out the scissors he had been so confused about earlier. Cutting around the edge of the card, he bounced in his seat as his handiwork began to take effect. The little odd patterns for the scissors began to make the edge of the card look super spooky in his opinion. Soon he would have the best made card to give to whoever he chose!

4 - Fail (One More Chance)

Now he just needed to figure out how to get this atrocious card into the envelope. It was jagged and stacked with both pom poms and google eyes. How it would ever fit was beyond him, but he had to try. One way or another he was going to get this card shoved into its envelope so he could send it! He wasn't sure if Magda would like it or not, or if he should even send it to her. He didn't want to bother her with it, but maybe since it was such a strange contraption she would enjoy it. Being distracted by his thoughts, he didn't realize how much he was fumbling trying to get the card into its envelope home until he dropped it onto the table. He scrambled around to pick it up, hoping it wasn't damaged in the process. Luckily only a pom pom or two fell off. Not too bad!

6 - Success!

He only had one more attempt before he got booted out of his station. He had to make this one count. He carefully slid the card in, staring at it until he managed to get it in almost perfectly. With a nod of his head he wrote Magda's name in big letters on the front of the envelope and sent it on its way.
