Ignatius would not let this stand! He grabbed another tool, stared at the lock with determination, and smashed the tool inside the lock as if that was how lockpicking was actually done. But it wasn't, so he failed to get anything accomplished. Again.

Unfortunately, Ignatius had no finesse.

Arrakis got another one, but it seemed like the second one was going to be another break in a losing streak, as Arrakis went for a third box... and failed the first attempt. Again. Well... persistence had served him so well last time, so... maybe he'd just keep at this box until he got it open, too? He didn't say anything about Ignatius' lack of finesse, though inwardly relieved that it didn't seem as if he himself was sucking extraordinarily bad at it or anything.

No, he was sucking an average amount, at least?

Alright, he could do this... If he was just willing to keep at it on this box...

The boxes were getting more and more ridiculous as Damien wandered further into the pile that was set out before them all. The hound balked at the sand chest and the lock that taunted him from the Physics (haha, Fearsics) on how such a thing was possible. If he had enough of those boxes, it would make building a sandcastle a breeze. But getting into the sandbox, was futile.

Damien, after having another setback with a box, was starting to question his technique. It was simple and effortless the first time, but since then, the locks were much tougher. Maybe the mechanism was different, or did he just get really lucky the first time? The hound had no idea other than to try, try again with a long, suffering sigh, he moved on to the next container.

A new box was a new chance, Damien was eager to try again. It would be nice to add Lockpicking to his acting resume, even if it probably would not be used. Then the thought were rolling in from the mental peanut gallery. "Maybe if I just act like I can open it.." was muttered, as the green furred boil stuck his tongue out and fiddled with the lock. It decided to act like it was open.


He was not going to question it. or the little green army figurines that lay inside.

Damien now had a pair of open boxes to walk around with and the trophies of victory that they contained. But he wanted more. the next box did not want to open and join his entourage.

It was a box that was covered in fur. That was new to damien as he gave it an experimental poke. no movement, so it wasnt some type of minipet mimic or something. and inside were foxfire treats, what joy!

Leva was not one for breaking and enetering anything that was not in fact, her own room. Mostly due to her own forgetfulness based on the fact that she did not often remember if she locked her dorm room or not. In her family hive there were no doors and such, no locks. The change was something she was still adapting to, and while slow, she was adapting. That was what mattered right? Well that and being able to get INTO her own dorm room. That was her current dilemma. She just needed a better way than flying to her window and playing pick the lock for an hour.

So when she saw a teacher offering a class on well, the exact thing she needed? She was more than willing to get up and go for it. Jack damn her it was a life skill. Plas, if she went home she could install a door and few of her hive sisters and brothers would be able to get in. Plus if THEY got doors than she could get past them. It was a flawless plan. When she arrived, the nightmare demon had a bit of trouble understanding if she should have attended previous courses. However when it became clear that she, a newcomer was fine, She grinned. Also perfect. She was still able and willing to learn.

When the Class did begin, she leaned forward in her seat, eager to hear how one was to break and enter and pick the locks. Properly at that! (no more fiddling with cards or trying to use a minipet and command them- she'd tried it only to find that all her minipets were horrendously dumb).

Taking the tool kit, Leva wasn't sure for a moment how one was to wear it. Over their chest? On their shoulder? Then she realized it was too small to wear. It was just to hold the instruments. Color her a bit foolish, she tried to pass it off as just her being curious but internally she was badgering the way she must have appeared. A demon looking the ignorant fool. Jack damn it all, she was a disgrace. Bjut, after seeing how it was done, she went to work, quickly uncovering a few gems stones and internally screeching. She wanted to keep them. Fake or no-. Shiny gemstones. She wanted them, she HAD found them after all.

After she managed it a second time, that was when she hit her first road block. She jammed one of the picks in and it refused to come out. Color drained from her face as she started to yank and pull on it. It was just refusing to budge. It was stuck and she was slowly becoming aware, that she just was not going to get the lock open. Not by jamming it in and wiggling things about. Luck might have a part of it, but if she actually wanted to break in, she couldn't rush it.

Still, as the pick actually broke, (much to her shock and surprise), Leva kept trying on that same safe. You couldn't say she wasn't determined but- Well the safe had offended her. It had been at fault, refusing to be picked. Now it was just her being stubborn and wanting to prove, on this one safe that she in fact, could pick it. Whatever it was inside would be her's. The teacher's. Whatever. She was just going to bust this safe open even if it took her the entire length of the class.

Again, as she tried to break it open the lock was not budging and she was scowling. How had the first two been so easy and now? Now it was so hard? Perhaps this was a life lesson.

Leva hated this. Another pick broke and she looked around, stealing a new one from another student. She'd ask for forgiveness later. It was easier to ask for forgiveness than permission anyway.

A sort of high pitched sound of frustration left Leva. This damn safe was causing her distress at this point. It was not cooperating. Clearly, the safe was rigged. After so many attempts, she finally went and grabbed a new safe. A better safe. One she was sure she could break open without any problems what so ever.
