His morning stroll through the pride's lands allowed Jamadagni to take in, remember, and test his memory where everything was and where everyone could be. Jama was settling into his new home and pride, but the lay of the land continued to stomp him from time to time. He didn't mind because it allowed for another challenge that he would conquer. Another obstacle to overcome. And Jama could see a long line of challenges and obstacles waiting for him that his pride had kindly provided. Like hunting out in the desert where little water scarce prey. Jama loved hunting challenges. Not only would hunting in the desert terrain be a challenge, but catching prey would be too. Of course he would have to get the lay of that land as well, but he looked forward to the constant challenge of providing food extracted from the difficult territory.

Jama smiled as he continued along from his small corner sleeping den, which he changed on a daily basis just so he would have an excuse to walk a new path around the pridelands, to the pride's oasis. A good pre-dawn drink and head dunk wouldn't be a bad thing. It never was in his opinion. He walked past the barracks and approached the training grounds. The training grounds, so far, was probably Jama's favorite place within the pride. The physical exertion, the training, the fighting and the challenges that could be found there were limitless. If nothing else, Jama wanted always to be kept on his toes. In every aspect of his life, if possible.

A crooked smile pulled at his face thinking of his former little ward. That little cub had kept him on his toes. She had presented a great many challenges. The thought of the cub turned lioness pulled at his heart. That was a set of challenges he really wanted, but couldn't acquire without a partner of some sort. Preferably a permanent one. Mazal would have made a great one, but she was bound and determined to that pride he'd left her off at. And he was bound for challenges. That pride just hadn't seemed like a challenge at all. All talk of peace and calm and soothing just wasn't for him. At least not in a home. Maybe in a partner. Maybe. He wasn't even sure about that. But until he could figure out what he wanted, and preferably find out he was wanted in return, he'd have to set those challenges aside and concentrate on the current ones. At least he liked the current challenges a great deal.

Safi'lipuka loved waking up early. There was something soothing about the coldness of the dessert at night. She had been up since the stars were still shining in the sky, but now the dawn was breaking and she could feel the warmth starting to spread. Despite her enjoyment of the cold, she was still a firekin at heart, and as the heat spread, she felt as if her blood came alive. She stretched, her claws digging into the earth beneath her paws as she moved through the training grounds.

Safi, whilst a guard and physically fit, was not really one for duels and fighting. She much preferred the strategy of guarding than the brute of soldier. Her mother was a soldier, and she respected her...but Kasi was a bit of an odd case; she was a soldier through and through.

She padded through the training grounds, half-heartedly looking around for her mother, but Kasi was not at the grounds. Probably a good thing, or else Safi would get dragged into a spar and she just wasn't in the mood for it.

Entering the training grounds, Jama saw the partnerless lioness. Jama watched as she seemed to be looking for someone. Jama hadn't planned on sparring with anyone today, but if she was looking to partner up with someone, he was more than willing. Being neither a sore loser or sore winner, Jama found that sparring was sometimes the best way to meet his fellow pride members.

He headed in her direction with a big smile on his face. When he got closer to the lioness, Jama greeted, "Good Morning."

Jama stopped a few feet away, aware of personal space. He wasn't usually so aware of it, but since joining the pride, he couldn't help trying to keep that in mind with all of the females. He didn't want to crowd them and trigger a pointless challenge for his ignorance or worse. And there was worse. No need to offend anyone when Jama just liked conversing or sparring good naturedly. Hopefully, the lioness wouldn't mind some company this morning.

Safi was surprised when she was approached by someone and glanced towards him, blinking in confusion. She was a social female, but she didn't have loads of friends, so there was no-one she thought would approach her like this. She was correct as well, because he was a complete stranger, so she stared at him for a moment before remembering her manners.

"Good morning," she greeted, offering him a small, quick smile, though it faded away quickly.

"Did you need something?" She asked, with clear curiosity in her voice.
