I've heard many times growing up that time flies fast as you get older. I even remember as a kid wanting time to pass faster so I could be an adult and gain all the rights that entailed. I have been learning over the years though what they meant is that time moves forward and the past is gone and cannot be relived no matter how much we want. I guess there is some truth in "enjoy the time you have" because you never know when it will come to an end.
