Comet looked up at the night's sky as the starts danced around in his vision against the black abyss above. The evening was pleasant and quiet which was the best time for watching the cosmos from below. The god rested his body down on the green moss which covered the land under his feet. Wrapping his tail around himself he let his wings rest as the draped against his large black form. "It's getting late master Comet. Perhaps we should start heading back." A lightly colored sprite spoke as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She looked up at the god who shared a glance back down in her direction before she leaned her body against his front paw. "The sky is wide awake, Stardust. It's the perfect time to listen to their stories." He offered a smile in return and watched as she snuggled deeper into his hand before looking back up at the twilights, he enjoyed spending his nights outside with Stardust. He taught himself definition from his lessons in astrology and he was still working on his alchemy but there was nothing more pleasing than just laying under the midnight glow and enjoying the quiet that comes with this hour.

The stars were shimmering overhead through a clear, cloudless sky; a testament to the awesome glory of the universe. Each celestial body sang its cosmic harmony in space...
Ferdinand saw none of it. His eyes were full of flowers, and he breathed in their heady aroma. Like lavender, but lighter, with a hint of clover and even honeysicle. And an even deeper scent beneath that he could not place. It was heavenly. The young kit flopped into a bed of flowers and wriggled happily. He had gotten up in the middle of the night to sneak out and see these flowers. He was told they only bloomed at night, which wasn't fair, because he had to sleep then! It took a couple of false starts before he actually managed to get up, but it was definitely worth it!
Suddenly one of the flowers took to the air... a lunar moth, its wings almost perfectly mimicking its home. Ferdinand laughed in glee and gamely tried to pounce on it. The little insect was in absolutely no danger, he had no desire to actually hurt it, but it was fun to chase. So the two flitted between flowerbeds, until Ferdinand stopped looking where he was going and crashed right into someone.
"Ow... Oh! Oh Im so sorry!" Now he was in for it. Kits were supposed to be asleep at this hour...
