[ORP] Cootie alert! (ALL the cubs)

[Sikukuu Pride]

With Lover's Revelry in full swing Sikukuu seems to be swarming with couples all of a sudden. The adults are acting very silly indeed and there's plenty of snogging going on. It's a madhouse! For the minors of the pride it's a confusing time, since they've never seen this particular celebration before. The winter babies are a bit bewildered to say the least, and to make matters worse they're not even included in most of the games. Unfair! But look at some of the games… Ewwww! Cooties! Maybe it's better not to be included?

Some of the cubs have gathered in a large shelter built from snow, with a few adults and adolescents acting as babysitters. Spruce branches and pelts covers the ground so that no one will have to sit on the cold snowy ground, and a large spruce tree provides a natural roof. It's an excellent play area, but while some cubs are perfectly happy to be here, others can't help thinking that they might be missing out on something. Where are their parents, for starters?

What's this?
exclaim It's an ORP, just for fun. The mule will provide some prompts, depending on where the RP is going.

Who can join?
- This is a ORP primarily for the cubs of the pride, so any Sikukuu cub can join.
- Visitor cubs can join if their family is visiting. (Check with the players RPing your cubs parents to make sure it's ok!)
- Familiars are welcome.
- We’ll need a couple of babysitters, so up to three adults/adols may join. This option will close when we've got enough sitters (OPEN)
- Adult/Adol visitors may help babysit, but these are the cubs of the pride. If they misbehave they’ll be out in a heartbeat!

Why am I quoted?
- You've got a minor on the memberlist. You don't have to play, but we wanted to give you the heads up if you would like some cubbie RP.

Jellon wasn't particularly worried about the current absence of parents. Mom often had important stuff to do with the queen and celebrations and that was important. And dad made sure there were no baddies ruining the parties. Easy peasy. He'd do something like that when he grew up. One of those two things. Or perhaps he'd just be a hero. Yup. Or he'd be the best dancer. Or something with fruit. He knew fruit was a thing, but he wasn't sure what it was.

Besides, he was also busy so he didn't have time to spend time with his parents. He'd noticed that one of the pelts on the ground still had a tail attached to it. How wonderful! He was busy biting, chewing and batting at it. This was the best pelt ever! He growled and shook it, pretending to kill it. Almost as fun as pretend-killing sibling tails and ears, but perhaps not quite as fun as battling dads tail.  

[Tanakako]

Fáelán squeeked as he was ushered into the tent, peering back over one shoulder in consternation at being herded like a prey animal. He had only wanted to see what as going on! But apparently sneaking about and trying to find out what his parents were up to, and all the other adults for that matter, was not allowed. Disgruntled he couldn't understand why, though the gamed looked rather odd to him, and he wasn;t sure if he even wanted to play!

Huffing with annoyance he stuck his muzzle up and stalked away from the current babysitter. Another injury to his insult, for he was quite sure that he was far too old for a babysitter!

Spotting his brother growling at a rug Fáelán instantly forgot his frustration and tipped his head in comic puzzlement. What was Jelly doing? Suddenly grinning toothily to himself he slunk down and started to stalk his sibling. Creeping closer until with an almioghty leap, he tackled the other cub with a squeel.

"GOTCHA!!"

Maji sighed and sprawled bonelessly in her spot near the entrance to the little play den. It wasn't that the cubs weren't a riot... they often were, and she usually got a big kick out of playing with them. But lately she'd felt so very restless. She'd been allowed to roam some distance, but the price for such freedom were chores such as this. Oh granted, it wasn't her clan's celebration, but her mother approved of volunteering, and since she'd skipped out on the last round of celebration, it was her turn to step up. She gave another huff and laid her head on her paws, eyes following the romping of the cubs directly in front of her.

After being tumbled into the play area, Gwyllt took one look at his surroundings and made a beeline for the trunk of the tree that sheltered them. He passed by his wrestling brothers, sparing them a glance, before settling onto his haunches at the very base of the tree. He looked up, up, up the trunk, eyes wide and ears perked. Oh yes, this definitely had promise! He leaned forward to give the bark a good, intent sniff, then set one paw against the rough surface. Yup, this would do very well!

With that, he launched himself upwards, hooking his claws into the bark. His first attempt failed miserably, and he slid back down to the soft floor of needles. With a little rowl he tried again, this time having his claws ready before he jumped. He managed to latch on with those foreclaws, but his hind paws scrabbled helplessly, kicking bits of bark down towards his brothers. No good, gotta try again. He retracted his claws and landed clumsily, tumbling head over heels into his brothers, unhurt.

Miya had gently been deposited in here some time ago. She had a hide of some sort wrapped about her, as her delicate frame was reasonably sensitive to the cold. She had watched with bright purple eyes as other cubs got added to the play den, and savored the warmth as more bodies meant more heat inside the shelter. She had already decided that she didn't like the cold, and though it was true her coloring would have been fun for hide and seek in the snow, she'd have to roll on her back to make it useful, and that was no fun!

So here she was instead, trying to figure out what would be fun to do that would keep her warm as well. She eyed the tussling boys but opted not to join in the fun. It looked rough, and she didn't care to get hurt. The cub attempting to climb the tree was interesting to watch, but she wasn't much help, since her claws were fixed and duller than those of the lions. She frowned slightly at the thought. Sometimes the lions had it better. Retractable claws, bigger bodies, more fur... it just wasn't fair! She gave a little huff and started playing with the pine needles instead, twisting and knotting them into interesting shapes, hitching her extra fur up when it began to slide down. Those lions might be able to afford not having two hides, but she couldn't!  

[Annchen]

Jellon was suddenly ambushed! He toppled over from the pounce, but semed perfectly happy to start wrestling with Fáelán instead of the pelt. He growled, but he was grinning. It was more fun with a target that fought back, right?

"I'll get you," he growled, trying to get hold of an ear to gnaw.

He hardly noticed the rain of bark bits, but it was hard to ignore when another cub tumbled into the mix. It looked as if Gwyllt wanted in on the action too!

A bird lands on the tree trunk and starts pecking furiously on it. It's not a large bird, but it manages to upset a few branches and a fair bit of snow falls down towards the cubs and cub sitters below.

He'd decided to assign himself to cubsitting this day. All the snogging and googooly eyes definitely didn't appeal to this serious leopard. Swaygha quickly learned where the youngest cubs were being kept and made his way to the spruce tree. It certainly looked like a comfortable place.

He rolled his shoulder under the branch as he pushed though to the inside. Sway paused to let his eyes adjust a bit to the slightly darker inside, and take stock of his charges. A few cubs were visible, but not nearly the numbers he expected to see. Good and bad perhaps. He noticed a young female hybrid apparently also keeping a watchful eye on the cubs. "Greetings. Any troubles so far?" It would be good to know if he had any troublemakers to watch out for.











Yaro was super pleased to be here. Her mommy had sprung a super surprise on their daddy by joining his pride. It had been a long walk, but she thought this place with all its parties looked fun. Except maybe what was going on outside right now. Sure mommy and daddy could enjoy it, but she wanted to see what cubs she could play with.

The black and green cheetah bounced into the play area and looked around. Immediately she spotted several lion cubs playing, then a pelt slide and revealed a white-ish cheetah cub. Yaro grinned and bounced over to the other cheetah. "Hiya!" The sound of a wet plop nearby made her look over and grin. There a was fresh pile of wet snow, and the culprit there above.

Jellon looked up to try to spot the noisy bird, but all he could see was some falling snow. Luckily it fell nowhere near him. He giggled and looked around, wondering if anyone had been hit. The snow wasn't even near him, so he had no trouble laughing about it. Leitis didn't seem all that amused so he waddled over to her and gave her a friendly head butt to try and make her look less sad.

"Did it hit you," he asked.
