[PRP] How fast can you fly? [Estel/Hel/Shun]

Shun eyed Hel some, as if he was a little skeptical of what she had just claimed.

"I'm merely trying to think of a way we might be able to push ourselves in that regard. As well as a way to perhaps see how well our new protege does with parkour. A sort of race, perhaps."

Estel clasped her hands together, rocking back and forth on her heels. "Oh, let's!" She liked racing.

She also liked winning, but she didn't think she'd feel bad about losing to either of these two.

Famine tilted its head towards Hel, and made a soft sound. The reaper turned her head towards it, and gave a nod and a wave. The familiar stepped away from the group and then took off into the air. It climbed until it reached the third story of the reaper dorms, and then dove in through an open window.

Hel then turned towards the other two, and grinned widely. "Ya!! Let us do it! We can race around the grounds!" The reaper exclaimed. "Instead of going around buildings, our goal could be to go over and through them!"

That seemed to excite the two girls. Shun nodded once in turn.

"Correct. The town would provide some better obstacles, but I do not know how familiar Estel is with that area yet. We would have an unfair advantage over her in that regard. That could be for another time."

The reaper fell silent as he considered a destination for the three of them.

"Would the school gates suffice?"

((Once it's time to start the race, we each roll 1d20 for two rounds. The person with the highest total after two rounds is the winner?))

Estel wasn't sure how well she knew the interiors of the school buildings, either, but once she got started running, hopefully that wouldn't matter. The gates, at least, she knew the location of.

"Alright!" Estel clapped her hands. "First to the school gates, then?"

She had completely abandoned her bag, but she could always retrieve that after, anyway.

Hel gave a firm nod of her head, and then started to stretch her legs, grinning. "Sounds like a plan!" She agreed.

Shun rolled his shoulders, then picked up a small stone off to the side.

"I'll toss this into the air. When the stone makes contact with the ground, that's our signal."

He let out a breath, looking over the other two to give them a moment. Then, he tossed the stone up. His eye locked onto it, watching for the moment it hit the ground, then bolted off, moving on up the wall of the reaper gardens once more. His footing slipped once, causing him to dip back down. He managed to catch himself, but it was a costly mistake.

Estel froze, ready to move, her entire focus narrowing down to the path of the stone through the air. The moment it hit the ground she was moving, scaling the wall with ease. She didn't look at Shun or Hel - she had already forgotten about them.

She didn't consciously know where she was going, but she trusted her instincts to guide her. Soon, she had forgotten about the race at all - she just ran, climbed, and jumped as fast as she could.

Hel rolled her shoulders, keeping her eyes on the stone with a grin. As soon as it hit the ground she was off as well. She made it over the wall with no problem, and soon found herself in between the two. Past Shun but after Estel...Hrm.

Huh. That was odd.

The reaper looked back over her shoulder at Shun. "Maybe it is you who is slacking!" She cried in jest.

Shun cursed under his breath as he scrambled to catch up. One slip and he had already fallen behind quite a bit, especially given how quick his opponents were. While he bolted after them, the unthinkable happened.

He saw a shadow growing on the ground over him.

"WATCHOUT!" a voice boomed. He glanced up in time to see a red dragon coming in for a very fast landing. It looked like the dragon was trying to place his pin back in place. But it didn't stop him from completely colliding with the reaper from above.

At least he had managed to get into his student form in time so he didn't squish the young man.

"Jericho, get the ******** off of me before I gut you," he hissed, now trying to untangle himself from the guy that had just landed on him.

Whatever was going on behind her, Estel was unaware of it. She was running.

It was only when the school gates came into view that Estel slowed down, walking the last few feet and tapping the side of the gate just to be sure it counted. Remembering that she had been racing (not to mention that she had left her belongings far, far away, oops), she looked back to see how Hel and Shun were doing.

Hel was on Estel's tail, but she was also still looking back at Shun, just in time to see that--

Who was howling with laughter as she was running and leaping over obstacles? Hel was. Howling with laughter. After clearing a smaller fence she cupped both hands around her mouth and cried:

"VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI!" In honor and greeting of Jericho who totally just made her day by taking out Shun. While Shun was her bro and all...she was also totally telling Mac later what happened. She knew he'd get too much of a kick out of it. Also being the good bro that she was, she ran all the way to the school gates, only getting there a few moments after Estel.

"Ah, not bad, not bad!" Hel sounded breathless, but it was from all the laughing she had done. "You definitely have the skill there--but we can talk about that in a bit, ya?" With a chuckled she pushed off the wall and ran back over to where Jericho and Shun were, grinning down at the two of them. "Oi! Jericho!" She greeted. "It has been a while, ya? So nice of you to....drop in."

Jericho managed to get himself away from Shun after some fussing. There was no need for the reaper to gut him, though it wasn't hard to see that the guy was rather unhappy right now, not that the dragon ever saw him anything remotely close to being happy.

"Settle down, Shun. I didn't mean to take you out. Came down too fast for a landing and didn't see you at first," he explained while rubbing the back of his neck. He adjusted his wings before letting them settle behind him.

"Yeah, well watch where you're ******** going next time," Shun grumbled as he got up and dusted himself off. With a huff, he moodily made his way over to the gate to catch up with the girls that had left him far in the dust.

The red dragon shook his head to himself before waving over at Hel, giving a toothy grin. He didn't seem too phased by the angry reaper. If worse comes to worse, he could probably just revert to his true form and sit on him or something. The guy's lucky he was able to get his pin back on in time or he probably would have completely crushed him.

"Hey! Good to see you seem to be in good health, Hel. And..." he paused, squinting at the ghost girl, "Uh... You. We've never met before right?"

Estel gave Hel a thumbs-up, grinning. She followed Hel back, meeting the others - because now Shun wasn't alone anymore - halfway.

"Nope, we haven't!" she said cheerfully to Jericho. "I'm Estel. Hi! Are you one of Shun's friends?" Same question that Hel had gotten earlier.
