Greetings in the holy name of Jesus!

Jesus was with God, the Father, before the universe was created.
Our Savior, even before the beginning of the world, was willing to leave His home in glory and put on the robe of human flesh to do the one thing that you and I could never hope to do.

Jesus came to earth, in the form of a baby born to a virgin, to pay the blood sacrificial price to redeem each of us from the penalty of sin.

The writer of Hebrews talks about the ministry and priesthood of Christ in Hebrews 3:1-4. 'Wherefore, holy brethren, partakes of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.'

In verse one, we of the church are called holy brothers and sisters and participants in a holy priesthood. We are called by Christ to minister to people around us just as Jesus ministered to the multitudes he met.

Jesus, the writer tells us, was counted more worthy of glory than Moses.
It was Moses, directed by God, who lead Irael out of bondage in Egypt. For his work, Moses was found worth of honor.

Our Savior and Lord, who was a builder of every thing that was built, or creator of all that was created, is even more worthy of honor, praise, and glory.

In our relationship with God, how does our ministry stack up?
Are you and I called to labor to receive honor and glory or are we called upon to serve in such a way that God receives all of the honor, praise, and glory?

Let us take a closer look at what Jesus did for us, and then consider what our service is on His behalf.
Philippians 2:5-7 reads as thus:
'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:'

Each of us found salvation through the work of Christ on the cross.
We are called into service of ministry by the Holy and glorified person of Christ.

As Jesus humbled Himself to save us, isn't it proper for us to humble ourselves to reach others in need of salvation?

Let us pray daily for God to open doors of opportunity through which we can humbly serve as Jesus served.

May God embolden, enable, and empower us to reach out with the gospel of Christ to everyone we meet.

Brother Philip

Amen to being fully surrendered and a humble servant.

What Jesus said to the Pharisis' about the number one law or commandment from God was?

Jesus said [and I'll paraphrase it], Commandment number one was too 'love your Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul, body and lifes'; and number two was' to love one another [or to love thy neighbor] as the Lord God has loved you!'

But this is a really well put together sermon that says the same thing, I think.
