The bump is not, in fact, a pimple (though Danny would later make fun of West for poking it), and is, in fact, a button. The bump slides into the statue, melding with the form to the point that he no longer has a bump, and it just looks like theres a groove on his nose.
At first, it seems as though it does nothing. The button slowly recedes backwards to being a bump. It seems like a dud.
But after a few more presses, it finally seems to take (damn old technology). A bunch of flying keys erupt from behind the tapestry which Taima was examining. They slap against her face in a cartoony fashion before buzzing around the room. Though they are keys and incapable of emotion, something about the way they're zipping around feels angry.
OOC gaia_star Roll 1d10 to grab for a key: rolling 8+ gets the right key- anything less and you've selected the wrong one, and it falls limp and dead in your hand. You're a murderer. You monster. gaia_star The moment someone lays a hand on the right key, all other keys begin to attack! To put the key in the keyhole, roll your normal attack dice. To get the key into the hole, you have to land at least 3 damage. Anything less/a miss will cause 5 auto damage to the one holding the key. The key CAN be handed off to another player if necessary.

Danny was actually less goal oriented, and more just reaching up for the fun of playing with the keys. She touched quiet a few and watched them drop. Every time she was really sad they dropped, at yet she kept reaching for them because she was that dumb.
A group had begun suiciding themself into her tail, like moths with a candle. She sighed and flicked her tail a few times, shooing them away. As much as she liked setting them on fire, she didn't want anything to be tricked into it.
One particularly pesky bug kept flitting around her face, bopping her in the nose. She swatted it, grabbing it in her fist.
Suddenly the keys snapped at attention.
"SHUN TAKE IT TAKE IT TAKE IT." She then threw it at him, and although she had an excellent throwing arm from many games of maceball, she was a bit panicked and it may have whacked him in the head.

One key takes West's slapping as a strange mating ritual. It is now infatuated with him! It buzzes beside him like a mosquito with the personality of a dog. Regardless of any attempts to hit or dissipate the key, it just won't leave him alone!
The key fits into place and all keys drop to the ground, dissipating into the draft created by the ancient stone opening (all except West's new lover, of course). Water pours into the whole, but it never seems to hit the ground. As the slabs open themselves in the shape of an "X" you can see stairs leading downwards into the abyss.
If you choose to walk down the stairs, it is once again a set of hallways and tunnels. All are completely dark, absolutely void of any light. Danny and Andrew make for makeshift torches.
That is, until the tunnel opens up into another large cavern. This one, however, has gemstone covered walls. Each of the gems is a hue of blue, their shades and tones giving a various glowing effect to the cavern. Fire is no longer needed, as the gems shine bright enough to light the entire room. Strange bio-luminescent moss clings to the rocks, dangling down like jellyfish.
The centerpiece of the room is another body of water, of course, but this one is much, MUCH larger. It is, in fact, a lake. The water is dark, glassy.
Danny, feeling as though this is definitely the time for that sort of thing, picks up a stone and tosses it into the lake. For a moment or two, the lake ripples, and then stills.
The surface breaks and an enormous column of water erupts from the lake to reveal a group of mermaid minipets. Their cries echo off every gemstone and multiply in annoying shrill octaves. Danny is swiftly grabbed and pulled into the lake. No resistance she could have put up would have stopped that. She is pulled down, beyond your scope of vision.
The egg in Rikki's hands begins to glow lightly.
Regardless of your reaction, you feel a strong sensation. The sensation is that of CHOICE. Now is the time when you must choose your actions carefully. Act with caution. Whether you listen to your feelings or not is up to you.

Rikki was extremely relieved to see the door open. Less excited to see the water pouring in, but he was willing to ignore it to get away from the keys that had every chance of rising from the dead and attacking again. He'd take ominous water doors any day.
Going down the stairs really seemed like the only option, after that. His other choice was to head back, and that meant risking the chance at the remembrall. That wasn't an option at all.
He hugged the egg tighter to the chest and padded down the stairs as quietly as he could, cringing as the sound echoed in the tight space. It seemed to get brighter as they went, like they were heading towards some sort of light source, and that was promising.
Until the light source turned out to be a bunch of gems on a wall. They hadn't magically made it outside, then. He eyed the water warily as they approached, making faces at the unpleasant songs of the mermaids, and nearly jumped out of his skin when Danny was attacked.
"Danny!"
He didn't even stop to think, he just dove in after her, still holding the egg as it began to glow.

The keys' attack hurt, but mostly it dazed Taima, and by the time she had gotten her wits about her the others had already found the right key and opened the door. She followed the others, her feathers both literally and figuratively ruffled, though she couldn't deny the anticipation she felt at moving on. It was rewarded as they descended from darkness once more into light, and she admired the bright blue glow reflecting off the walls and water.
Her perusal was short-lived as Danny managed to catch the attention of whatever was living in the underground lake and was snatched from the shore before anything could be done about it. She frowned at the water, distressed. Taima couldn't swim very well--but she could eat a whole lot, and maybe in doing so help clear the way for the others who seemed just as dumbstruck.
Hardly taking the time to consider the consequences, Taima pulled off her skull pin. She didn't know any of the others very well, but Shun, at least, had a physical disadvantage that she felt she could exploit if it came down to it. She grabbed his hand, turning it palm-up and slapping her pin into it. "Make sandwiches for everyone," she blurted unintentionally, when she had meant to tell him to make himself useful. "Stand in a hole." She made a disgruntled noise as she failed to get her point across verbally--whatever. He would figure it out or he would get squished as she let go of her skull pin.
The shift into her natural form began immediately, and in a handful of seconds a plane-sized bird stood where a short, skinny ghoul had just a moment before. With a hop and a sweep of her wings, Taima launched herself into the air, gliding on currents of her own making towards the mermaids. She managed to snatch a bunch of them out of the water, and they flailed in her talons as she wheeled back to shore. She dropped them upon landing, entertained as they flopped around, and suddenly snapped one up in her beak. "Less now," she said to the others even as the mermaid went crunch and was swallowed. "Go after them. Leave my pin in case you die."

Regardless of how much Rikki tries, he would not find Danny. Even diving down to the very bottom of the lake would result in empty hands. She had very much vanished completely.
However, the moment the egg touches the water, a pulsation begins leaking from the golden orb. For everyone in the room, an ear-shattering screech fills the air. You are paralyzed, immobilized by the sound. Even Taima falls straight into the water, every part of her body seizing up, just like the rest of them. Luckily, the mermaids are also subdued. They begin to bob to the surface like dead fish, floating with their heads firmly planted in the water.
Only Rikki is unaffected. He instead hears a lovely woman's voice.
A stone on the other side of the lake begins to glow, the same hazy gold as the egg in Rikki's possession.
Quote: Everyone is PARALYZED, except Rikki. If he wishes to swim to the other side, roll 1d20 to determine how many feet you swim. Get to 30 feet to reach the other side. Once you have swum at least 15 feet, quote me.
