[PRP] Flooded

"Okay everyone" Rosie called up from the living room, causing the pokemon in the house to start to move very actively and a few of them jumped up happily, while others... namely Jazz ducked away to hide.
"Jazz, Pop, Celtic- oh sweet Kiss, okay you can have a quick brush tonight."

"Raaaii~" Kiss cooed happily, pouncing up onto Rosie's shoulders as the blond made her way up the steps to the second floor of the house, Celtic trotting to catch up next to her, while Pop, with her arms crossed followed behind.
"Jazz?" Rosie called again, pausing in the middle of the steps to listen if the pokemon was following.
Nothing.
"... Jazz sweety, come on."

Pokemon with a lot of fur needed to be brushed on a regular bases, it wasn't just healthy for them, but Rosie found that it was good for spending time with them too.
Unforgettably, not all pokemon would agree.

When Jazz didn't respond, Rosie frowned a little in confusion and made her way back down the steps
"Luke? have you seen Jazz?" she asked, walking into the living room.

The addressed trainer leaned on the arm of the couch, green eyes watching Rosie as she appeared from the stairs. In response to her question, he tilted his head to a side, expressing either denial or plain confusion.

Vahy'n, who had been sitting comfortably on the couch lifted her head at Rosie's question, blinking lightly and surveying the room, a light amused look on her face when her golden eyes landed on Luke.

Rosie however blinked back at Luke when he gave her a confused look, pausing at the entrance of the living room.
Maybe Luke didn't remember what one Jazz was?
"Uh- he's the Growlithe, supper fluffy, usually tries to run you over whenever you come home." She continued.

He tilted his head again in the opposite direction, blinking unhelpfully.

The girls eyebrows arched back at the look he was giving her, lips parting a little, though found she didn't have any other way to describe Jazz.
"No?" she asked. "ah- well, I'm sure he's here somewhere." She said with a smile, making her way over to the couch, bending down to take a look underneath to start searching under some of the furniture for any space he might have squeezed himself into.
"Its not a big house after all" She giggled.

He pulled his feet up onto the couch beneath him, sitting on his heels and watching Rosie with a satisfied smile.

Vahy'n amusement only grew the longer she watched the situation, though continued to sit quietly and watch.

Oh dear, it was getting pretty dusty and furry under the couch, there seemed to be enough fur to MAKE a new Growlith, but unfortunately there was no sign of the original Growlithe that she was looking for.
Moving onto the next piece of furniture she paused to blink at Luke again.
"... what is it?" she asked, he was smiling now, where he was still sitting on the couch.
She glanced around, as if expecting to see something, but then looked back at Luke. Blue eyes widening a little "Are you helping him?"

His smile widened a bit, his whole self tilting slightly to a side in only moderately contained enthusiasm.

She couldn't help but smile back, though with a mild confusion with it. okay, so he was seeming partially silly this evening.
"Okay- whats going on? Whats with the look?"

He lifted both his hands in an exaggerated shrug, his eyebrows somewhat inclined and his green eyes angled upwards in an intentionally innocent expression.

Her confused smile still on her face, she glanced around the room again.
"Oookay." She started, deciding to check under the furniture Vahy'n was sitting.
Still nothing.

"Are you two up to something?" She asked playfully, sitting down on the armrest of the couch by Luke and turning to face him a little.
"And whats with the silence?" a light hum followed her words.

He glanced momentarily to a side as if in deep thought, then raised a finger to his lips in reply.

What in the world was he up to? Rosie honestly couldn't figure it out, this didn't seem like him at all, or at least... he had never done something like this before.
her brow furrowed, and she tilted her head.
"Did you lose a bet at work?" she grasped out of thin air, shaking her head

He blinked, and his brow slowly furrowed in a total absence of understanding. Eventually, he turned his head aside again, looking clearly confused.

It was at this look that Rosie's smile faded, starting to really not understand why he wasn't talking and looking like he was.
Reaching a hand out to place her hand on his forehead, was he sick?
