[Fight!] Sanaz bint Zena vs. Irmak bint Melek

Unlike some of the more rational lions in the Burkuteshti, Sanaz knew the only reason the enemy was at their front door was because they were beckoned. Thankfully Sanaz was here to be a part of the fight. It had been a long time since the two sides fought, she welcomed this as another chance to prove herself in the eyes of her comrades as she ran into battle directly at another lioness.

She let out a fierce battle cry, proven to throw off the enemies defenses and give her the upper hand.

I'll go ahead and start off here and you can take the first roll. Would you like to roll through until one of us runs out of HP then go back, or fill it in one at a time?

If this makes sense, we can do a bit of both? My brain's going into sleep mode, but I don't wanna leave ya hanging - After I roll roll and quote, and when I get up tomorrow, I'll edit in a reply and then post another roll.

On Irmak, the war cry didn't work. She felt confident, optimistic, yet still held on to the reality that there WAS still the chance they may lose. She let out her own roar, charging at the other lioness, ears back, hackles up. She was determined to win, determined to score their pride a watering hole.

As her paws hit the ground, she wondered for a brief, sliver of a moment if the prides were really, truly, all that different, like siblings playing at a game of war. But as the other lioness drew close, and her own fire-filled eyes met the other lioness' own fire-filled eyes, the thought left. She reached a paw out, intent on doing damage.

If it was not for all of her extensive training, the forigen lioness would have landed her blows. Sanaz was about to run directly into her outstretched paw, but instead she exhaled and dropped to her knees, sliding right underneath it. It was a long shot, but she trusted her instincts to guide her safely, and this time they did the job! There was no time to rejoice such a small victory, nor any room in her mind for anything but focus. Now was the time to strike before the lioness found her bearings again.

In a different life, on different terms, this lioness could have been Sanaz's friend or even mentor. But right now, right here, they were enemies and there could be no leniency. Stretching out her back paw she caught the hind quarter of the female as she was turning, drawing a little blood. It wasn't much of a start, but it was better than what she had sustained herself. The sight of the blood fueled her fire and made her ready for the next exchange. Only one of them could be left standing or be forced to retreat in embarrassment.

Irmak let out a hiss, turning back at the other lioness. She found her bearings fast enough, but momentum had been lost. She postured, trying to make herself look much larger and more intimidating... Which wasn't easy, considering Jhay lions were all rather small compared to many other prides. She let out a snarl, then charged at the spot-marked lioness. She had to win this... She had to help the Qyrhyeshti win this watering hole! For water, for pride... For the glory of battle!

With the adrenaline pumping through, instinct and training were now taking over. Her goal was to be unrelenting! That's how you win a battle! As the pink eyes charged towards her, she stepped out of her way, letting her run on by. All she had to do was to unscheathe her nails front left paw and stick them out to the side she was charging along with her hind foot for the lioness to trip over instead of coming to a stop.

She watched the lioness tumble and access the damage. Not the desired outcome, but it was another medium blow. At least a few claws ripped a little skin. The other surely had to be experiencing a touch of the wares of battle. But she was not about to weaver, Sanaz had to stay aggressive. A snarl echoed back from deep in her core.

"Come on!"
